Clan History: The Komote are a relatively peaceful clan, embracing the name 'ninja' but trying not to live up to if if they can. They're not fond of combat, but are extremely effective if called for. Originating in Amegakure, they were devout users of the Earth arts. They attained minute control over very small amounts of dust, making them formidable. This led to the creation of a new art, the Crystal Release; the old Doton jutsu was lost, though. The Komote became a migrant clan for a time, moving from Land to Land. Renown for their ability grew, and they exiled themselves from places to avoid unnecessary attention. They never really found a place they called home; they settled in Kumo for the most part, but still it doesn't feel very 'right'. Still, more 'right' than anywhere else. Some clansmen were left behind in other Lands, so the Komote are widespread. They humbly serve the Kage that oversees their particular sect, but will band together if two countries war. Strangely, hey are strict enforcers of good grammar; some even say they are descendants of the enigmatic Idiot Whisperer. They are renowned as expert jewelers.

Kekkei Genkai: 晶遁 {Shōton ~ Crystal Release}

Kekkei Genkai Description: Crystal Release is an advanced Kekkei Genkai utilized by the Komote Clan. It is a fine-tuned version of Doton that allows the formation of crystal structures at the molecular level. Theoretically, Crystal Release can crystallize anything with physical matter, like water or earth. However, energy such as fire or electricity can't be crystallized. Specific sound frequencies can also break down the structure of the crystals created by the clan; due to its makeup, it can disperse into almost invisible particles. Humans normally cannot be turned to crystal, though Komote clan members can turn themselves into crystal in some circumstances. Crystal Release can be utilized through one-handed seals.

Drawbacks: Due to the refinement of the base element into Crystal Release, Komote clan members are unable to use regular Doton at all; it replaces Doton as their primary element. However, clansmen can't learn a third element.
