General Description: Lee does not dress like the traditional shinobi, but more in the sense of a game hunter. His dress does borrow some elements of the shinobi standard such as sandals and pouches for the little odds and ends that he tends to carry with him. At any given time, Lee can be found wearing a dark vest over a hooded black shirt; covering the lower half of the face is most often a mask resembling a grinning a skull. On the lower half of his body, Lee wears pants made of a strange material that seem to mute the normal sounds of movement (i.e, running, walking and the like) that are tucked into a set of high boots made of soft, worn leather. The boots are covered in belts and buckles, each meant to support the leg and hold the boots in place as the wearer moves.
When not dressed for a hunt, Lee can found wearing casual clothing; a simple ensemble of a T shirt and shorts.
About You!
Personality: Don't push his buttons" is an expression that many might say in reference to Lee, but the truth is it's not entirely accurate. You see, Lee doesn't have "buttons", oh no, he has a button. It's big, it's shiney, but it's not labeled one bit. Push at your own risk. When not testing the similarities between fire-wood and the people that piss him off, Lee can generally be seen trying to give himself a reason to make the world's first human firecracker. He's argumentative, loud, obnoxious, and a bit rough around the edges. He's subject to his curiously, which can occasionally stem from less than noble causes. This isn't to say he's a complete jack-ass all the time - he's not, you just have to give him a reason not to be. When given a reason to not be a jackass, Lee turns into the most loyal person that you'll know -- moreso if he respects you.
Another side of Lee is the fact that he likes to eat. He's known for clearing a table alone if he really wants to; though where he honestly packs it all away is anyone's guess. Given his alpha-like mentality and overall hotheadedness, he tends to stick to a mostly meat filled diet; though the addition of sweets to any meal is always a good thing.
Likes: A blazing inferno to Lee is about as good as perhaps a bar of chocolate would be to someone else, or a nice cup of tea. The larger and hotter the better. It could be the fire itself as a whole that he likes, or perhaps several of the pieces of it put together; such as the color or the heat that comes off of it. Or, perhaps it's neither of those and is simply the pure destructive power that the fire itself has; the ability to burn something that once was into complete nothingness; ashes to scatter to the winds, to be forever gone. In anycase, there is no denying his fixation for pyromania.
In the same light of him loving fire, Lee also adores the natural world around him. As an avid hunter, Lee believes that his place is in the wild, sharing the same earth as the animals around him. Every animal has a purpose in the circle of life, no matter how small -- even if that purpose was simply to allow a larger animal to live on.
Wolves. This would have to be one of Lee's greater likes in this world. While he has only seen a pack of wolves once in his life, Lee fell in love with them instantly; the power they seemed to hold over thier world, the confidence that the pack seemed to move with as they hunted. As the boy grew older, this admiration turned to fascination; Lee could almost imagine himself as part of the pack...
Dislikes: Lee's likes and dislikes seem to vary on a day to day basis. What might not have pushed his button or pissed him off only the day before could be the very death of you today. It just tends to be centered around what honestly pisses him off at the current time, and how his mood is. If it's a good day, he might very well dislike nothing; where as if its a bad day... well, anything and everything could and probably will end up setting into a full blown blind rage the likes of wish you'll wish you never saw... and from which you will probably never recover from.
One thing that will certainly never earn you points with Lee is dishonesty. While Lee understands that in the world of the shinobi lying to to your enemy is essential, he cannot forgive those whom would lie to the people who trust them; something he sees as betrayal of the highest degree. Something like this will push him into a rage.
Motivations: What motivates someone like Lee? Is it his inner blind rage? Perhaps that spark that ignites in him that makes him want to light anything and everything around him on fire... Or, perhaps it's the idea that the stronger he becomes the more he can do; and the more he can protect those around him that he actually has grown to care about. That's as good as any for a motivator for anyone else, and it works just the same for Lee. The stronger he can get himself the better he will be, and the closer to his goals, whatever those might be at the time, he becomes. So, if that means pushing himself just a little harder than everyone else, or playing just a little bit dirtier than the next person, he'll do it.
Fears: Fear is such a usual state of mind for many creatures; both human and otherwise. But what is there truly to fear that sets it aside so much from other emotions. For Lee his fear is triggered by the idea of losing anyone, or anything, he might have grown to care for. The idea of someone being snatched away from him either easily or not so easily is enough to invoke the sort of rage that you only hear about from bedtime stories of monsters and demons. It's what helps to motivate Lee, in a sense, this almost borderline irrational fear - it's what makes him act so rashly towards those who threaten the people he cares for.
History: Once upon a time, there was a little ninja that could! What he could do, he didnt do, and what he did do, he shouldnt have done. His days were filled with happiness, sunshine, and rainbows out the ass. He positively skipped everyewhere he went, and the worl was just so ha-- Sorry. I can't do that anymore. The false happiness is gonna make me puke.
This story isnt filled with happiness. There are no fucking rainbows, no enternal sunshine and no ponies talking to each other about what a wonderful day it is to go on a picnic. If you're looking for that, you're in the wrong place. No, this story is a bit darker than most, and not for the 'faint of heart'. Or, I could be just completely bullshitting you. Time will tell if you are capable of separating the truth from my ramblings. For now, please have a seat-- no, not that one. That one is reserved for the porcupine.
The story begins like so many others: a man and a woman. His father was a retired Anbu captain from Konoha whom wanted a quiet life: His mother was a seamstress from a small town outside of Konoha. Together they built a life outside the busy walls of Konoha, one where they could live out thier days in happiness. Uchiha Tenji was tired of the political posing and in-fighting of his family, tired of the looks of comtempt that he and his wife, Reimei, recieved from the other Uchiha. He moved himself and his wife to her home village. Tenji used his skills as an shinobi to to become a hunter for his family, providing them with a wealth of food while Reimei was able to save them money by using her skills as a seamtress to keep the family clothed. Together, they built themselves a simple yet beautiful life.
Imagine thier joy some three years into thier wedded bliss when Reimei announced to Tenji and thier close friends that she was carrying thier first child. Tenji quickly wrote home to his family, excited about the bundle of joy on the way. Tenji's father was overwelmed with joy-- but not many other people of the clan were happy. They did not like the prospect of thier 'pure blood' being mixed with that of commoners, yet no one would dare voice thier opinions against Tenji's father. But nothing could stop the sour expressions and mocking tones that were given to the couple when the elder Uchiha's back was turned as the young couple came to visit.
After nine months, Reimei gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, one whom she named Lee. The child was born healthy with a head of white hair, much to his parents shock. Thinking nothing of it, Tenji, Reimei, and Lee lived happily together for years. As the child grew older, Tenji taught Lee how to fend for himself in the wild; to hunt and track game, how to formulate traps with fuinjutsu for smaller animals and the like, which Lee took to like a fish to water. By the time the child was nine, he was was spending several days a week camping in the nearby forest, coming home with enough small game to supplement his father's earnings. It was also around this time that Tenji taught Lee Kyujutsu, or the art of archery as well as basic practice in Kenjutsu (strictly for the purpose of self defense against some of the larger creatures of the forest). Under his father's tutelage, Lee's skills grew to be comparable to that of a genin shinobi.
On a personal level, Lee was not one to always play nice with others. On the days that he went to the market with is mother, Lee was in charge of watching the stall while Reimei handled the money. After a particularly nasty incendent in which most of thier trade was stolen, as a precaution, Lee always rigged his stall with Fuinjutsu traps. As the thieves would attempt to steal skins from the stall, they'd find themselves rooted in place and staring down the shaft of an arrow until they either payed or were arrested. He had no mercy for would-be theives -- even the children. An arrow launched near the foot to snare them with fuinjutsu, followed by another to 'heat' thier feet until they returned what they attempted to steal. As time passed, thieves grew wary of the child and his mother when they came into town, avoiding them entirely out of fear for thier own safety; the child was less forgiving as he grew older. What were once simple traps designed to protect his wares evolved into more sinister displays of brilliance -- fingers were often lost, sometimes a whole hand. Of course, Lee would return the appendages -- after the local police were informed.
It would be these 'incidents' that would prove to be the downfall of the happy family. The local mob boss was not happy with this little 'rebellion'. Other merchants, seeing a mere teenager protect his wares in a such a way, were refusing to be exploited. Deciding that the best way to stop this newfound bravery was to make an example of the Lee and his mother, the boss ordered his men to follow the family home and ambush them.
As the family settled down to dinner at dusk, there came a knock at the door. As Tenji got up to answer the door, the windows of thier cabin were smashed inward, through wich numersous armed thugs jumped through. The men, expecting to only see Lee and his mother, were shocked to see the enraged Sharingan of Tenji, who promptly began to beat the life of the nearest thug with the door of thier cabin. Tenji ordered Lee and Reimei to get out of the house-- something that Lee was able to accomplish with a bit of a struggle. Miraclously, the teen was able to snatch up his bow and quiver before grabbing his shrieking mother and pulling her with him through a window as Tenji covered thier escape. Several of the thugs got out of the cabin to follow the duo as the cabin erupted into black flames...
For the three men following Lee and Reimei, life was about to take a fatal turn for the worse. Lee and his mother fled into the parts of the forest that was laced with various hunting traps. The following were relatively simple for Lee. He waited amongst the treetops until a trap had been activated, before moving closer and firing arrows into the unfortunate soul whom been caught. Once the last man was dead, Reimei and Lee made thier way to the main road, and traveled to Konoha. Once there, the duo met with Tenji's father, explaining what happened. The elder Uchiha allowed them to remain in his house until the situation had been handled.
When Tenji's father returned a week later with news of the mobs 'sudden' vanishing in a sea of black flames, he offered Reimei and Lee a place to stay until they were able to get back on thier feet. Reimei declined, opting to instead go back to her own home town of Hachō, with Lee deciding to go along with her. Reimei herself had no family to speak of, but was determined to make it on her own with her son. As a precaution, they changed thier surnames to keep any remnants of the old mafia from tracking them down.
So far, they have lived in peace, with Lee taking up the role of providing food for them, and Reimei opening a small shop for them to sell in.
