Clan: Anzutake
Location: Niwaurushigakure no Sato
Clan History: The Anzutake clan is a fairly recent one, having been born on the tails of the third generation before them. They were founded, or at least, they cropped up when the last of the plague outbreaks, a remarkable mutation of the disease manifesting in their bodies and their children. The clan had then simply moved with the flow of the village as a few select shinobi, which then branched into a full-blown clan, with a small section of the village reserved for their district. Mostly reserved, they are incredibly loyal to Niwaurushigakure, but typically try to stay within their district, for the most part. They have only made small ripples in the shinobi world as a whole, and their actual powers have yet to be seen by anyone outside of their clan. This would be because Shinobi schooling is done strictly within the clan's grounds, as to dissuade spies and those who would threaten their clan as a whole.
A lot of the rest of the village is against them and their hermetic ways - or at least, they think so. They are a very cautious, paranoid people and often think that their Kekkei-Genkai is one that most others would like to steal, going to great lengths to keep their spores a secret.
Elements: Doton must be primary element. Secondary is irrelevant, but most seem to be Fuuton or Suiton. Katon is a VERY RARE element for this clan to produce.
Specialization: Medical Ninjutsu is required for a lot of the clan's techniques. However, the clan is actively a combatant one, and most Medical practices end with their own techniques. This doesn't mean that traditional Medical Ninja don't come from the Anzutake, though.
Kekkei Genkai: Gahousuji
Kekkei Genkai Description: The Gahousuji, or the Spore Vein, is an inherent Kekkei-genkai that is actually rather common amongst members of the clan. Something that cannot be implanted, the members of the clan are all born with thousands of spores of the unique Haitake, a mushroom that develops and grows within the member, allowing them to benefit from each other. The most dominant passive ability this gives the user is an immunity to poison - because the Haitake is actually incredibly venomous, having adapted to live with it has developed their immune systems to super-human levels. The members of this clan also very rarely get sick, and seem to heal their wounds faster than normal, albeit not on the same level as regeneration, by any means. Due to their Kekkeigenkai, the clan receives a +1 to their MEDICAL NINJUTSU, and +1 to their standard NINJUTSU, respectively.
The spores are, as noted, incredibly poisonous. But they are not the only kinds of spores the members of this clan are capable of generating. Because each clan member has adapted to their spores uniquely, it is expected that the 'end product' of each individual's spores are different. Essentially, no two clan members have exactly the same spores. Although, they all originated from the same base spore, meaning they are all immune to each others' spores.
If removed from the body, the spores quickly attach themselves to any living thing they can and grow at an incredibly accelerated rate into large, red-capped mushrooms (at their basic state). The spores themselves will contaminate, clot, and suffocate anyone who ingests them and isn't adapted to them. Because of this, the 'poisonous' aspect of their effects can only be truly reversed by the user. There is no cure for mushrooms sprouting in your throat, truthfully.
The spores are constantly exiting each member's body through their throats, via their nose and mouth. Because of this, it is required that members wear masks to protect others from their mushrooms. Masks can be taken off during combat situations.
**Anyone is allowed to join this clan, and may create their own techniques for it, as no two ninja have the same exact spores.**
Drawbacks: If one were to eat small amounts of the dried mushroom caps for a month continuously, in nonlethal doses, they can become immune to the majority of their effects. The chances of one getting enough to do this, though, are unlikely. The mushrooms are also highly flammable, making all KATON techniques +1 Rank stronger when used against them. Katon is also an incredibly rare element for the clan members to have.
One should note that the mushrooms live off of chakra, unlike other mushrooms. If left for too long without enough chakra to sustain themselves, the user's own spores will become ineffective until chakra is restored. Because of this, most of the spores cannot survive in a dead body for very long, ironically. This may vary depending on the mushroom itself, though.
Members of this clan are Bukijutsu and Taijutsu deprived. Because they lack in tutoring for Taijutsu, their entire clan receives -2 to their TAIJUTSU/BUKIJUTSU capabilities.
The spores are constantly pouring out of each member's nose and mouth. Because of this, to avoid spreading the mushrooms where unnecessary, the members are forced to wear a special mask that covers their face.

Description: The core of the clan's Kekkei-Genkai, Kourin no Haitake is a passive 'jutsu' that grants their ability to constantly breathe their special spores. The spores are developed from their lungs, run through their veins, and are exhaled through their nose and mouth. Typically, a mouthpiece is worn to prevent unwanted spreading of the spores. ALL members of the Anzutake clan are born inherently knowing this technique, and it must be known at D-RANK upon character creation, taking up one of the free jutsu slots.
Note that this technique stacks. It starts at D-Rank, and must be trained as if it were a new technique to advance it in rank, as well as submitted with updated effects. The rank does not determine the amount of spores produced, but rather the kind. One can accelerate the production of the spores with D-Rank chakra usage at any time. It should be noted that this is simply the generation of the spores and light spreading into the air around the user - it is up to their other techniques to actively spread the spores themselves.
At D-RANK, the spores generated are simple Haitake spores. If ingested by a non-Anzutake member, that person will find it relatively hard to breath as incredibly small mushrooms will sprout in their throat, but they do not completely stop their breathing and will wither away within three posts time. Upon skin-contact, will cause red marks and a burning sensation for three posts. If any of the spores manage to reach the eyes, they cause tearing and irritation, often rendering their eyesight useless for two posts.
It is up to the user to determine the effects of the technique at C-Rank, B-rank, A-Rank, etc. Must be appropriate for a technique of that rank, must relate to mushrooms, and cannot be used as traditional weapons.

Description: The user spreads their chakra through the ground, creating at large, porous mushroom about waist-height to the user. This mushroom uses stored chakra to constantly release thick clouds of the user's specific spores, but cannot be moved and requires the user to pump more chakra into it every three posts in order to keep it active. Can be burnt/cut, but getting too close risks being afflicted by the spores.
