| Basics! Name: Inuda Seichin Age: 19 Birthdate: March 28th Gender: Male Rank: Chunin Village: Yokuchigakure Clan: Jishaku Element(s): Jiton Raiton Doton Specialties: -Ninjutsu -Fuinjutsu Special Characteristics: Appearance! Height: 6'3" Weight: 175lbs. Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Brown General Description: The harsh and unforgiving climate has left its mark on Seichin and his predecessors in various ways. The most obvious example is the young man's skin color which is on the darker side of chocolate after years of exposure to the unforgiving sun and heat. It covers the shinobi on every inch of his six foot three frame which is fairly lean though has muscle in all the necessary places. Brown eyes look out into the world as dread locked hair falls around his head and is about five inches in length. Underneath the locks, Seichin has his sides cut into medium sized stripes that are symmetrical on either side. In terms of clothing, Seichin prefers to dress light as to avoid overheating in the hot desert sun. He wears a pair of brown pants and a tan shirt that aren't particularly flashy in their own right. Over the shirt is a brown flak jacket scavenged from a past era. It zips down the middle and has a high collar and shoulder guards, not to mention the various pouches that can be used to store small items such as shuriken and scrolls. A pair of black, fingerless gloves cover his hands while white tape wraps his shins and flows down into a pair of brown shinobi sandals. A small, blue kunai holster is taped to his right leg while his munitions pouch is situated on his left back side. About You! Personality: A hard working go-getter that seldom takes no for an answer. Now to expand upon that nutshell, or crack it open --whichever phrase you prefer. Seichin was seemingly birthed with great ambition in all that he sets his mind on and refuses to quit until the task is completed to its utmost potential. Hours upon hours could be spent perfecting the smallest detail because in the long run it will affect his life's overall purpose which he holds very dear. The boy often pushes for the best out of himself and others who he associates with, be it family, friends, or strangers that just so happen to cross his path. He is a firm believer that the more people doing right in the world will eventually transform it to a place where individuals can live without the constant threat of war lingering over their heads. While we're on the topic of war, or just fighting in general, Seichin is oddly enough not all that keen on jumping into a fray if it can be at all avoided. A life lost does very little to change the current complexion of the world in his opinion, and what was settled by blade could just as easily have been settled with words. However, if an opportunity arises where extreme force must be taken then the Chunin will do everything in his power to ensure his survival and has no qualms with the use of a few underhanded tricks to maximize the chances of victory. His battle demeanor is quite the far cry from the happy go lucky individual that most know him as; though considering that it is a matter of life and death there should be very little surprise. Likes: A question with nearly limitless answers! A better inquiry would be what doesn't he enjoy? Alas, that shall be covered later. To begin, Seichin enjoys being able to take every opportunity that life gives him. Whether it is meeting new people, experiencing a new place, or widening his cultural palette. There are very few instances where the young man will refuse to do something that will make him a more well rounded individual. On a similar note he likes spending time with those who have a clear purpose in their life, especially individuals who aim to make the world a better place to live in. Seichin is always looking for new ways to improve his and others ways of life and keeps a very open minded view. Hmm, what else? He enjoys a good sense of humor; seldom a bad time for a joke, and just being an overall decent person. Oh, and he loves spicy foods. He believes they are a direct representation of life itself and give the necessary kick to fully enjoy living... even if he always can't handle what he sets his eyes upon. He also has a soft spot for animals, though not the odd looking ones as they give him the creeps. The species doesn't really matter so long as it looks cute and doesn't want to bite off a limb. Dislikes: Hmm, what doesn't Seichin necessarily approve of? A tricky question as he there is little that inherently irks the young man. However, there are a few qualities that when shown have a tendency to rub him the wrong way. For starters he hates stagnation. Be it waiting around for something to start, or for someone to make a decision, he hates it! There is so much that life has to offer and the thought of wasting it by just doing... nothing irks him to no end. He also has a shallow temperament for drunkards and those that wish to do harm to children. Granted, as most shinobi start their careers around 12-13 there are times when that peeve has to take a back seat in order to fulfill a goal, but those not fitting that category, he believes, should be spared from the atrocities of war and death. On a slightly lighter note, Seichin doesn't very much care for sour tasting foods as they have a tendency to linger on his tongue and bring his entire mood down a few notches. Be it vegetables, candy, or anything in between if it even has the slightest hint of being sour the shinobi will waste no time in spitting it out and searching for something to cleanse his palette. Motivations: What motivates a being such as Seichin? Well, first and foremost he wants to have a great impact on the very earth he inhabits. Whether it be miniscule achievements or becoming a renowned ninja the boy wants his name scattered across all the winds for everyone to know! He isn't vain but instead believes that the best way for the world to truly be in a time of peace is for the tales of great individuals to be spread so that others may follow their footsteps. Another factor in his drive is the need to impress his family who have long not always seen eye to eye with the life styles of most shinobi and only mingled with them out of necessity, so to have one of their own join the ranks caused quite the turmoil. Seichin has taken it upon himself to prove his decision right each and every day and hopefully be seen as a true part of the family one day. Fears: A good chunk of Seichin's persona is linked with his ability to find purpose in his actions, and any straying from that brings him great anxiety. His biggest fear is that his life will have been lived void of purpose and meaning and that he has done nothing to impact the world. That being said, Seichin's purpose and pride are intricately linked and any action that takes a blow at one of those two facets greatly affects the other, as well as his overall well being. The boy also has a crippling fear of the cold as he has known nothing but intense heat his entire existence. and equates it with the energy of life. Though cool temperatures do not phase him, ice and snow are sure to cause a panic attack and a fleeting feeling of despair and sorrow in the shinobi. History: Born generations after a piece of his broken and scattered clan settled into the oasis that was Yokuchigakure, Seichin was to be another in a long line of merchants. His father and those before him were renowned traders that traveled through the harsh desert and arid climates to buy and sell goods, and only after a few too many close calls did a particular few families decide to settle in a village. However, fate would soon intervene and send the boy down a path few would have ever envisioned. As merchants, the house they resided in had quite a few different artifacts and the such --a good deal made of metal-- that were just laying about. They would often find their infant son surrounded by these goods and simply wrote it off as another merchant in training, though the reality was much much different. One evening after dinner the family was spending some time together when his mother noticed a fairly large metallic object inching its way toward her son. The immediate thoughts concerning the event were perhaps a small, localized tremor but deep down they all knew the truth. In their history there had been a few individuals who had been born with the ability to manipulate magnetic fields and used such an ability in conjunction with various materials. Most went on to become shinobi and strayed away from the nomadic, merchant selling past time. But what to do next? While ignoring the trait was definitely a possibility, Seichin's parents knew that leaving such an ability untrained would prove disastrous for both his well being and their wares. The one place that would be able to help their son harbored the very individuals that his father loathed: shinobi. They had been the cause of all the death and destruction that plagued this world and nearly killed his family and friends on multiple occasions. Hell, the only reason his ancestors had had to settle in Yokuchi was due to the increasing frequency in attacks on their caravans. Yes, some of his wares were sold to ninja though only out of necessity as ignoring a big part of the client base would not bode well for business. But that was where his father wanted to keep the interactions with ninja: strictly business. The mere thought of his own flesh and blood joining their ranks was enough to make him sick. Unfortunately, as time progressed and the power of his sons Kekkei Genkai continued to grow there was little option by the time Seichin reached the age of six other than to enroll him into the academy. While the boy had no prior knowledge of ninja or their lifestyle aside from seeing the occasional passerby in the village he was able to quickly pick up on the core concepts of taijutsu, ninjutsu, and genjutsu. However, his unique abilities caused quite the commotion when it came to projectile training, or any metallic weapon for that matter, as his natural --or unnatural depending on the perspective-- control of them caused quite the attraction in others when they would cross metals. His aim was top notch due mostly to others becoming magnetized. Throughout his time at the academy Seichin would learn to control his unique ability to the degree where everything made of metal didn't automatically polarize to his very presence. He would graduate at the age of thirteen and begin his life as a shinobi. His father, who was still none to pleased by their kind, had assumed that after sufficient training his son would come back to learn the family business and became furious upon finding out that Seichin had taken a liking to the ways of the shinobi. The two argued constantly and seemed to never see eye to eye on the topic, alas the Genin had his heart and mind set on carrying out his life as a ninja. His Genin years were typical of most low ranking missions and included a variety of seemingly endless training sessions, lack luster missions and a want for more. He and his team progressed at a slightly above average pace yet were held back from participating in the first two progression examinations. It wasn't until the boy was fifteen that he had an opportunity to take part in the exams where he and his team failed to pass the first round of tests. A setback though it was, Seichin used the failure as motivation for the next time he would be allowed to take part. The tests were challenging, but in the end all three ended up passing and being promoted to the rank of Chunin. A torn reaction from his family; his mother proud but his father increasingly upset. It was around this time that Seichin felt it best to live on his own as to avoid the negativity or risk some form of incident taking place that would be unforgivable in the eyes of all. The newly christened Chunin would continue to hone his skills with his ability and in time became rather adept. Three years have passed since that time and Seichin is now beginning to feel completely comfortable with his decision to stray away from the family business and forge his own path in life. RP Sample: Heat, it never came and went nor fluctuated; the feeling was stagnant and everlasting. Sure, the temperatures may have dipped a tad bit when the sun set though the sun baked sand had a knack for letting off the heat it had retained through the day and keeping the surrounding area very toasty. However, compared to the mid-day's blaze that was taking place right now that time seemed like a blessing in disguise. Even with all that said most who had lived in Yokuchi for some time simply regarded the heat as a way of life. One inhabitant in particular had even found that taking a leisurely stroll through the village was better at fending off the intense heat than sitting around in his abode and baking like a pig at a barbecue.
The sights and sounds took his mind elsewhere, away from the heat, while also offering more and more insight to his home. Today was an off day for the Chunin and he planned to take full advantage of it. Training had been completed in the early morning before things got too hot, and now there was time to just relax. A slight rumble from his stomach alerted the boy to the increasing level of hunger that had been creeping up for the past hour or so. But where to eat, exactly? Even in such an environment there were quite a few options within the village for one to sate their appetite. "Decisions, decisions..." Seichin mumbled to himself as he neared the district that held a good number of the eateries. Whatever the choice would be, the Chunin would be sure to eat his fill before returning to his abode for well deserved nap. Faceclaim: Kilik - Soul Eater

| I know this isn't finished; but I'mma step in and say this now so that it can get fixed quickly. - Quote :
- Name: Invisible Sheathe
Type: Passive Description: This technique is more of a skill like the tree climbing or water walking, and not made for battle. It was designed as a means to carry swords (or perhaps other weapons) without concealing it in an actual sheath or occupying the wielders arms. With this technique, the user focuses a small amount of chakra to his back, the chakra will make the weapon adhere to the user's back and dull its edge, making it safer to carry in this way. it does not require hand seals to use and the amount of chakra required to maintain this is minuscule enough to be held for almost indefinite periods of time. That SC requires Kenjutsu to have; so unless you plan on training Kenjutsu as your third specialty, you can't take it. |
