The gray wolf or grey wolf (Canis lupus) is a canid native to the wilderness and remote areas of North America, Eurasia, and North Africa. It is the largest member of its family, with males averaging 43–45 kg (95–99 lb), and females 36–38.5 kg (79–85 lb). It is similar in general appearance and proportions to a German shepherd, or sled dog, but has a larger head, narrower chest, longer legs, straighter tail, and bigger paws. Its winter fur is long and bushy, and predominantly a mottled gray in color, although nearly pure white, red, or brown to black also occur.
Within the genus Canis, the gray wolf represents a more specialized and progressive form than its smaller cousins (the coyote and golden jackal), as demonstrated by its morphological adaptations to hunting large prey, its more gregarious nature, and its highly advanced expressive behavior. It is a social animal, traveling in nuclear families consisting of a mated pair, accompanied by the pair's adult offspring. The gray wolf is typically an apex predator throughout its range, with only humans and tigers posing a serious threat to it. It feeds primarily on large ungulates, though it also eats smaller animals, livestock, carrion, and garbage.
The gray wolf is one of the world's most well known and well researched animals, with probably more books written about it than any other wildlife species. It has a long history of association with humans, having been despised and hunted in most agricultural communities due to its attacks on livestock, while conversely being respected by some Native American tribes. It is the sole ancestor of the dog, which was first domesticated in the Middle East.
Zeich's personal contract is with the wolf pack known as the Tsukikage, or the Moonshadow Pack. This pack is made up of a group of timber wolves, each under the leadership of the clan alpha, Hanshou. Hanshou has reigned for nearly a half-century without being troubled, indicating his strength and the respect that his pack has for him. He has taken in Zeich as part of his pack thanks to his half-wolf form, though Zeich's rank within the pack varies based on his strength, and his allowances towards summoning vary as well. To begin with, he is granted a low-ranked companion to observe and guide him at all times. The stronger he gets, the more Hanshou will show him respect and allow him to summon higher-level wolves, perhaps even one day allowing himself to be summoned. The Tsukikage pack specializes in Ninjutsu and Fuuinjutsu, preferring hit-and-run tactics as compared to direct attacks, and often will supplement any charges at the neck or legs with a Ninjutsu released ahead of them. Many of their bites leave behind one of a number of specialized seals designed to slow or bind prey. Additionally, they may leave trap seals behind them as they flee or lure enemies in chase, trapping foes behind them and giving them room to release more Ninjutsu from a distance. Truly, a group of Tsukikage wolves can be a fearful thing, ensnaring any prey they hunt and taking them down at no risk to themselves. Summoning Process:Upon initially receiving this scroll, the user receives a free D-Rank permanent summon to be used as a low-level combat pet, and is created using the pet template. All other wolves of this summoning pact are summoned either via scroll or palm summoning. Drawbacks:Wolves of A rank or lower are no larger than six feet from nose to tail, and though they are larger than the average domestic dog by a fair margin, they are not nearly as large as other summoned beasts. As a result they lack in physical strength, but make up for their weakness for their skill in Ninjutsu and Fuuinjutsu. At home in the woods, they are fast and graceful, slipping through the trees with ease; but in extreme climates such as deserts or tundra they are slower, their pelts not heavy enough to withstand lower temperatures nor thin enough to fend off the heat of the desert.

Standing at four and a half feet in length from nose to tail tip, Haiiro is a standard gray wolf. Younger than the average summoned beast in his pack, Haiiro is just a young adult, slightly above the age of maturity at about a year of age. Though he's a bit smaller than the average wolf, he's quite intelligent, and can speak fairly well in the human tongue. He's quiet despite his ability to do so, however, preferring to act rather than talk, and even when conversation is necessary he prefers to speak with Zeich. He shares a lot of traits with his partner, namely the half-wolf's dry sense of humor, though he tends to be a bit more sarcastic and quirky, commenting almost offhandedly and teasing his companion.

Description:
Rabbit Warren is a special Fuuinjutsu whose primary purpose is not harming nor permanently snaring an opponent; instead, its goal is to stall and slow pursuers or distract an opponent mid-battle. The user creates the seal anywhere on the ground through contact, which then fades into the ground. Upon being stepped on, the seal activates, flashing momentarily before creating a hole that is a foot deep and about two feet across. This tends to snare or bind a leg that gets trapped within it, with the maximum potential of snapping an ankle if the victim twists it wrong, but mostly this is a stalling tactic to lose pursuit. One use of this jutsu allows the user to create up to three of these seals within the same post.
