While the Kage slots are currently filled, I as Hakage will be stepping down at the end of the current story arc chapter; and the Hinowa Council will eventually be phasing out in favor of a proper leader for the new village. As such, we're going to be fielding applications for these positions. Currently, we're only taking apps for Hakage (Niwaurushi); as we need to get this one filled first.

First off, rules for being/retaining Kageship:

-Must post a MINIMUM of once per week.
-Must maintain proper logs of village banking transactions, and be on top of mission assignments.
-Must maintain direction of ANBU and various elite forces within the village
-Must be willing to participate in diplomatic relations between villages
-Must be aware that all Kages are dedicated moderators within their own village, and therefore must be willing to work closely with staff in all aspects pertaining to them.
-Must be available for staff to contact. If you're impossible to reach, we're not even going to bother.


Requirements for promotion to Kage:

-Minimum 2 weeks of consistent activity on site
-Short training by staff in Kage duties
-Experience as Kage is preferred, BUT NOT REQUIRED
-Positive attitude is helpful
-Must meet requirements stated above.

So, since nobody has applied for this yet, and I don't know if/when this will expire, I thought I'd give it a shot.

Why Do You Want To Be Kage: Apologies in advance. This is going to be another of my overly long posts.

So, let's start from the beginning: I like this community. I like it a lot, I have found here the ideal environment I was so desperately seeking, and this is exactly why I want to be able to settle here, to get to know the members of this community, to make friends, roleplay together, and share a passion.
However, as I enter my second week of membership in this community, I haven't been able to do that just yet: I hardly ever manage to chat with anyone, mostly because of timezone issues (and now there seem to be problems with the chatbox, too); the way missions work sadly doesn't promote interaction, and I also had the misfortune to join a village whose most active and well-meaning members outrank me by a lot, making it difficult for me to share missions, roleplays and character development with others.
In the duties of a kage, that are listed in this topic, I see the chance of finally achieving my goal: working hand-in-hand with staff members would allow me to make myself useful for the community, in order to become an important part of it (which is what I desire more than anything else, when I join a community it usually is for life, of course in the internet sense of the expression), and having to organize the work of all the shinobis of the village, let alone keeping diplomatic relationships with others (and being involved first-hand in plot arcs, too), would finally give me the chance to interact with others, as I absolutely cannot stand to roleplay alone. The minimum activity required is honestly a joke as far as I am concerned (post once per week? I have been in communities that required you to post once per day before, and it has never been a problem), and I am more than willing to give my private e-mail adress to staffers (not to make it public for everyone to see, tho) so that they can keep in touch with me.

Let's have a look at the requirements, shall we?

-Minimum 2 weeks of consistent activity on site: while I don't have two full weeks of membership under my belt yet right now (I am posting this on 11th of april), chances are that I will by the time this application is checked, as I am in my tenth day right now. And the amount of sub-forums in which the last post is a post of mine is a testament of the consistency of my activity (hell, I have been here for 10 days and I am the sixth most active user of the month post-wise). And regardless of how this application goes, I am not planning to reduce it, if anything I'll increase it if I finally manage to be accepted and find people to roleplay with on a consistent basis.

-Short training by staff in Kage duties: well, let's just call a staffer and get this started already :p

-Experience as Kage is preferred, BUT NOT REQUIRED: while I of course have no such experience, I do have a 3-years-long experience as boss of an italian wrestling e-fed, and such a "job" requires you not only to be in charge of all the storylines that are created in the federation (a duty similar to those of a kage), it also involves moderation responsibilities comparable to those of an administrator, so yeah, I most likely know what I am doing. Of course I don't expect you guys to believe to this claim on my word, I can provide evidences to the staffers if required via pvt.

-Positive attitude is helpful: any post of mine, included this one, is a testament of my attitude. I just want to be accepted.

So yeah, this is it. One important thing I would like to point out is that, as of now, it would make ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE for my current character to become the kage of a village that is not his own: this is the reason why I striked the name and the village of my character while compiling the template. To be a kage, I would need to make a brand new character specifically for the job, as my current one is absolutely not suited for the role. I hope this is not a problem (hell, if managing too many characters turns out to be a problem, I am willing to delay or even scrap altogether the plans I have for an Uchiha character to be made as my second, plans that incidentally are the main reason why I joined in the first place...)
