General Description: Raiku has a relatively normal appearance. His skin is a light tan while his eyes are a deep brown color. His hair seems to naturally defy gravity, always sticking upwards no matter the situation. The color of his hair is black but seems to have a green tint to it. Rai's normal attire consists of a white or blue tank top (depending on what he feels like wearing) with a green jacket placed over it. On his lower body is a simple pair of green shorts that are similar in length to soccer shorts. On his feet are matching green boots reaching only a few inches below the knee.



Personality: Raiku has a very simple nature, not being hard to figure out at all. If one tries hard enough they can simply guess what is on the boy's mind. However, if he ever tries to think on a complex matter then smoke will arise from his ears, along with his face turning completely red. Have you ever heard of "Curiosity killed the Cat"? Well, that saying applies to Raiku in many cases. He always wants to know about something - he wants to know about everything. One can even deem him to be annoying due to how many questions he asks at one time. Unfortunately, it's his desire for knowledge that can get him into many sticky situations.

Rai is an individual who doesn't care for the good or bad. He only does what he thinks is right, even if it's the opposite in the eyes of others. Raiku doesn't really understand why there must be death in the world. If anything, he is very much against the prospect and will find any way to evade it. He doesn't care for opinions either, but will get partially offended if called "weak" or "puny". Due to his height and age many people might underestimate him. Though, Rai will never underestimate his own opponent. After all, appearances can be deceiving. Along with his many traits Raiku cares deeply for his comrades and will stop at nothing to protect them.

Likes:
• Fire: Raiku absolutely adores fire. Everything about the element just excites him. It's destructive force, the warmth it emanates, how it manages to light anything dark. He hopes to one day control these wonderful flames.

• Sweets: Just like any other boy his age, Rai enjoys eating sweets, whether it be chocolate, lollipops, cake; you name it! He also let's Soda fall into this category despite it being a drink. His favorite flavors are lemon & lime, orange, and grape.

• The Wilderness: Due to being raised in a place filled with wildlife, Raiku enjoys the great outdoors. The amount of adventures he can have are beyond belief! Not only that, but there are multiple treasures he could find out in the open.

Dislikes:
• Thinking: Raiku just doesn't have the necessary patience to sit down and actually think. His body does all the thinking for him! After all, doesn't action speak louder than words?

• Killing: A concept he doesn't quite understand yet hates. He does not know how murdering another can bring a person pleasure, nor does he get why it must occur. If there is another solution to defeat enemies, Raiku will find it.

• The Color Pink: Rai has never seen such a bright and... disgusting color in all his life. Even a neon orange or green would settle for him. However, pink is a no-no. He can bear to see some shades, others however...

Motivations: Raiku's true objective is to one day travel the entire ninja world. Not only that, but find treasures and grow stronger along the way. This boy is always craving an adventure and the only way to satisfy him is to explore. He dreams to be one of the most known adventurers on the planet. Though, he knows it will be a very long time before that can happen. As he travels, he also wants to learn more about dragons. He knows about his clan history already, but wants to actually understand the magnificent creatures. He might be able to meet one of them one day.

Fears: Rai has a very common fear, one that almost every person must have: Death. There are too many things for him to perform in his lifetime for it to all be whisked away. Dieing is something that can come very quick or very slow, most of the time being unexpected. He isn't even sure of what would happen to him afterwards. Would he go to that big ninja village in the sky? Will he just wander the earth as an empty soul? Or will he only be in eternal darkness, never to see the light again? This idea is what scares Raiku the most. Besides this, the boy can be viewed as fearless.


Pre-Academy Arc:

Once upon a time there was a baby, hailing from the Land In Shelter of the Mountains. He could be seen in the Inner Forest - but, wait! The baby's parents were nowhere to be seen! That's right, Raiku was abandoned since birth, left out in the open for anyone to take him. Fortunately, that was what had occurred. A shinobi from Niwaurushigakure, named Yorou, saved the boy and took him in. It was sheer coincidence that this man was from the same clan he was in. But that only meant Rai had gotten lucky. Rather than return to the village, the man had raised the boy in the very spot he found him. From then on grew up with love and care, eventually starting his shinobi training at age 4.

The training wasn't brutal, but it wasn't easy either. His caretaker often sent wild animals to chase him down, making his evasion and stealth skills to develop. He was also forced to remain away from their home for several days. The reason being for him to "Be one with the environment". Every night he camped out, Raiku had to be alert due to all the animals in the area. It was because of this that his sight and sense of smell had also been improved. Eventually, the boy had gotten used to this kind of training after enduring it for two years. He even managed to perfect his chakra control due to climbing up trees in order to evade the vicious creatures on the surface. It wasn't long before the duo had moved out of the Inner Forest, and into a house in Niwaurushigakure for Rai to enroll into the academy.

Academy Arc:

Raiku's time at the academy was pleasant... and unpleasant. His first day, at age 6, was definitely one to remember. One of the kids in the classroom had set a paint bomb in his notebook. So, once he opened it - BOOM! Red paint was all over his face. Since the children in the classroom was laughing, he assumed he had to laugh as well. They had eventually dubbed him as strange once he did this, Rai was expected to be embarrassed or upset... Possibly both! But no, he just gave a small chuckle and moved. This led to him being the main victim of many pranks in the future. Did it bother him? Nope! Well, only sometimes...

Raiku's training with his caretaker started to become increasingly difficult once he stayed a year within the academy. Rather than normal animals chasing him, Yorou was now the predator. The boy repeatedly had to evade the multiple shuriken and kunai being thrown at him. Not only that, but he sparred with his caretaker every moment of everyday. The upside to this? He was far ahead of the other children in his class. Raiku aced every test, answered all questions, and showed incredible physical prowess. If he didn't hate thinking so much, he could have gotten Rookie of the Year!

After another three years of the academy, it was finally a month before he could take the Genin Exams. It was also the time for Raiku to learn about his clan and their techniques. For that entire month Yorou taught the boy their clan history, clan techniques (that were within his level), and even helped him develop his own fighting style. In what appeared to be a flash, the moment had come for Rai to take his exams. As expected, he passed with flying colors.

Genin - Present Arc:

Once he had become a genin, Raiku started to truly train his body. Every moment he was awake the boy practiced his jutsu, attempted to perfect his taijutsu, and improved his chakra control. The progress he was making was truly a sight to see. He managed to show an incredible amount of potential as his skills kept improving. However, after a few more weeks into his ninja career, Yorou had taken up an illness. Doctors said that the man was going to die in the next two years. It could possibly be shortened to one year depending on whether his condition worsens. To say the least, Raiku was heart broken.

He wasn't going to let something like this get to him though. He wouldn't sit there and cry over something that can't be reversed. Instead, Rai decided to spend time with Yorou - no, his tou-san - and continue with his own life. And this, ladies and gentlemen, is where Raiku's true journey begins.

Raiku yawned as he rested upon a tree in the large area. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and the wind blowing lightly in his face. Yup, everything was just perfect. Rai raised up his left hand to rub his eye due to the tears welling up in its corners. He could tell the audience reading this wanted him to perform something exciting. Unfortunately, the only exciting thing he could think of was eating... It was at that moment did his stomach start to rumble. "Ne, I guess I could go get something to eat. Maybe some ramen would do... ?" he spoke aloud.

The boy shrugged before resting his hands behind his head and making his way towards a ramen stand.
