Height: 6'1Weight: 190Hair Color: BlackEye Color: RedGeneral Description: Shinji was born with eyes that were red like the blood that ran through his veins. His hair was lightly colored, but one could obviously see that it was black. His skin is fair, and his body isn't skinny but one could obviously see that he isn't fat at all either. Shinji is big, and one would often mistake him for someone older. He is often someone who wears a fairly long white jacket that he leaves unzipped with a red shirt underneath. He leaves the sleeves rolled up as he prefers it like that. He wears black pants and has a special hostler for his kunai and special knife that he carries around. Instead of the traditional sandals like most of his classmates wear, Shinji has boots that protect his legs from most dangers. Most... He also has a bag that he slings around his back to carry most of his personal belongings. His left arm is wrapped in bandages for a reason unknown. About You! Personality: In his eyes, Shinji is mentally stable. To others? Not so much. Honestly, they can't even tell. Shinji has such a blank profile that nobody would ever know that he was depressed. He rarely displays his emotions, though his emotions are often displayed through his words rather than his facial expressions. There are only certain times where he'd display his emotions at it's strongest, as in when his rage becomes uncontrollable, or when he's so under much stress that it causes him to cry. He rarely ever smiles, but deep inside Shinji believes he's the happiest child on earth. However, Shinji doesn't believe in love. The only love he'd ever received in his life was the love of his parents which affected him greatly. He doesn't care much about his feelings too much. Almost all of his decisions are impulsive, but he never quite shows remorse for the things he does. Shinji isn't one to tell the truth, unless it's urgent or trusts one with his life. He's very loyal to someone he trusts though but never values their interests. He's very intuitive about people sometimes, and tries to get to know them. Shinji is basically the kind of person that drives himself towards his goals, but prefers not to have the guidance or motivation from others. Likes: Although it'd seem quite obvious, Shinji has a thing for fire. His clan naturally has an affinity for Fire but Shinji however has a strange obsession with it. Especially raging fires. He has a strange interest in the way fire works and how it flickers and why it burns things. Rice balls and cooked salmon is something he enjoys most often, though occassionally he'll settle for chocolate covered raisins. One of the hobbies that Shinji has progressed in throughout his life was carving things out of stones. If anything, one of the many things Shinji enjoys is fighting. Fighting is Shinji's life purpose. Dislikes: One thing that Shinji hates more than anything is a smile directed towards him from someone that he's not talking to. It annoys him more than anything else, whether it be for a positive reason or a negative. Interruptions, and additions he didn't ask for are something to add to this list of things. Snow and the Cold in general are things he hates. One would find that Shinji is very organized and will become very agitated if things aren't neat and perfect. He doesn't like pointless conflict, much less conflict itself. He doesn't like seeing people he cares about getting hurt either. Motivations: As a child, Shinji wanted to be the man his father was. In his eyes, Shinji's father was the strongest person alive. He always seemed so powerful and he always looked like everyone respected him. Shinji tried his best to become the strongest person on the planet. Training hard so that one day he might join the ranks of the mightiest ninja. Though, from the day his parents disappeared he became very antisocial, and nearly sadistic. He couldn't stand the thought of anyone in his family getting hurt, but at the same time he had no patience, tolerance, or even sympathy for those who believed that taking lives was the right thing to do. He vowed to keep him promise, but only to make a change in the world. He wanted to create a world where peace thrived, and any sort of evil would be vanquished before it became an issue. Fears: Shinji's mother explained to him that fear was nothing much than how a person's perspective on a certain thing and how they reacted to it. For instance, take a butterfly. If you find a butterfly appealing and pretty, then you like butterflies. However, if you think they are monstrous and disgusting, disease ridden creatures. You're afraid of butterflies. Many of the things Shinji is afraid of are simply minor things that he doesn't really freak out about or just simply treats as nothing. Though, Shinji fears giant creatures and is deeply terrified of death. Shinji would never tell anyone about his fear of needles, which he fears most. History: Shinji was born on a very warm summer day. It was almost like he was born to be hot. Just as any child, Shinji was given love and was treated as a precious object by his parents. He grew up alone however, and he never had any friends. He had a very vague concept on what friendship was. Whenever someone tried to make friends with him, he'd seem to edge away as if he were in some kind of danger. Most people saw him as an outcast as he was not an average child that you'd find in Jun Chi. He spent most of his days alone, or just with his father who was his role model. Shinji wanted to grow up to be like him so bad, he actually became a mini version of him. Shinji was the happiest child you could ever think of. He just wasn't very good at making friends. That's all. Everything changed when his parents happened to disappear. They vanished into thin air practically. Shinji went looking for them everywhere. He was told that they died. That they were killed. For a while, Shinji didn't believe that. He thought that they abandoned him and that they hated him and didn't want him anymore. He became very antisocial during this period, not wanting to be around anyone period. He didn't want any friends, and he sure didn't care to be coddled by anyone. Until the day he enrolled in a ninja academy, nobody even knew of Shinji's existence anymore. He never slept with any of his brothers or sisters and he was never even seen by anyone in the Yokuchi Village. After being enrolled in the Academy, Shinji was still the dark figure he became after his parent's disappearance. Though he changed in a few ways. He cared at least for people who bothered to see if he was alright, and he at least became a thought once more. He participated more than he used to and he at least sat with other kids but never spoke. Shinji eventually graduated and became a Genin. He was never assigned to any squad and was never given any mission because he disappeared for a short time with no explanation as to where he went or why. He only returned nearly heartless and silent. Not many people ever hear his voice. One would have to be very trustworthy or at least lucky to get a word out of him. RP Sample: Shinji stood atop the highest point of the village. He looked down at the villagers walking about and enjoying their conversations. Some even took a moment to look up at him. It didn't matter. Sometimes, Shinji wondered what it was like. To be like them. To be normal. But then, he thought about it. What is normal exactly. There's so many ninjas in the world, and yet so many non-ninjas. We're an equal amount, yet so different... he thought. No matter how who you put a label on, they were not like anyone you described them to be like. What was normality really? Nobody would really know the answer. Maybe Shinji would find out one day. He jumped down onto the roof of the building he was perched upon and hopped over to the next seamlessly as if he were being moved by the wind. He took one more leap and landed in a remote area where there seemed to be a nice quiet corner. He did look up to see a crime in progress. There was a helpless old woman being mugged by two oversized bullies for her belongings. Of course as a loyal member of the village and a part of Jun Chi, it was his duty to help. He thought for a moment. Why should he really? Things like this happen all the time. It wouldn't make a difference if he helped or not. One person isn't an entire nation. Though he remembered what his sensei told him that one day. Things you see as insignificant can often be multiplied and turned into a great thing. Kindness and Compassion can help create a better world. It all starts with one small act. He remembered his purpose. To create a better world. He walked over with a bit of confidence, but didn't happen to say a word. He was clutching onto his knife, and his headband glimmered in the sunlight. When the two thugs noticed his shadow they turned around to see him. Judging by the way they turned tail and ran, he'd guess that they had no experience in ninjitsu and weren't even willing to deal with a genin. Though, not at thought he was a genin because of his older appearance. The old lady thanked him with much gratitude and gave him a rice ball as a token of her appreciation.
