Appearance! Height: 5’4 Weight: 110 Pounds Hair Color: Black | Waist Length Eye Color: Amber General Description: Blake is a young girl of pale complexion.. She has long, wavy black hair, and her eyes are amber, complemented by light-purple eye shadow flaring backwards. Her eyes are slightly tilted upwards at the ends, giving her a somewhat catlike appearance. Blake wears a black ribbon tied in the form of a bow which she almost never takes off, even when she goes to sleep. The bow is a cover for a pair of small violet cat ears. She wears black low-heeled boots and stockings that start off black at her hips, but gradually fade to purple as they near her shoes. On the outside of her stockings, there are white symbols that are most likely belladonna flowers. She wears black ribbons on both of her arms, with a black detached sleeve and a silver band on her left arm. Blake wears a black buttoned vest with coattails, and a white, sleeveless undershirt that exposes part of her midriff with white shorts that may be connected to her shirt, although it is partly obscured by the vest. Her shorts have a zipper on the front of each leg, but it is unknown if these zippers serve a purpose or are simply decorative. She also wears a detached scarf-like collar around her neck. About You! Personality: “What’s the difference between a psychopath and a sociopath?” “It’s simply really… one chooses to hide the bodies while the other displays them up for show.” Blake is the latter. Blake is not your average ninja; far from it if truth be told. She’s calculating, cold, and holds almost no value to human life save for her own and those of her closest comrades. However, she hides this all very well behind a beautiful face, a pretty smile, and an alluring voice filled with words that cannot be denied. She likes to watch others suffer: gets off on torturing her enemies before she bothers to kill them – and that is only after they have truly been broken and destroyed to the point of being awake and yet comatose. Blake doesn’t like games unless she is the game-master; she grows tired quickly with things and is known for abandoning less than interesting tasks in favor of ones that amuse her. She is, ultimately, insane. What is the norm for one person is the exact opposite for her; rumors abound that she’s known for licking the blood off of her weapons after finishing with a kill – even if she made the other person commit suicide. She often comes across as aggressive and dominating when allowing her emotions to be witnessed by those around her. This aggression and dominance can manifest itself in many forms from outright physical violence when someone has angered her or not listened, agitation or un-needed anger, to refusing help with a task. In the case of her dominate personality this can often be shown by her need to ‘break’ her enemies: she feels the need to go beyond just causing pain or death – enough is never enough until it’s too much. Blake shows a great deal of vigilance among herself making her less trusting of those around her than a normal individual; this also leads into her being more of a private person – secrecy is key for her and she trusts very few with her own. Blake is described as being "mellow". She displays a cool, reserved, and serious personality most of the time but doesn't lack a humorous side. Blake is a righteous person who has respect for other people's lives. Regardless of whether they are like her or not, she treats everyone equally and strongly despises those who judge and discriminate based on racial assumptions. Blake is also an open person and is not afraid to speak her mind, going so far as to indirectly insult a well-known company in front of one of its members. Blake is shown to be an introvert, as she prefers to be alone. Even if she is in a group, she tends to exclude herself from conversations and demonstrate no interest toward the discussion at hand, especially when she is reading. She is extremely fond of books, as she brings a large collection of books with her to most places and reads them frequently. She is shown to be facetious and friendly. Due to her open way of treating others, she can be a mocker who tends to say the obvious and points out details in a sarcastic manner, generally making fun of other people. She can also lose her temper if provoked, causing her to speak her mind without any significant self-control. Blake may have also been mistreated when she was younger, due to her being feline orientated. This is suggested by her response to Weiss' comments on those like herself, accidentally saying "we were just tired of being pushed around." Blake seems concerned about people learning she is feline orientated, attempting to hide her feline traits and running away when she accidentally lets the truth slip out. However, she still insists on defending the felines like herself whenever someone mistreats or speaks ill of them, regardless of them being a member of the White Fang or not. Despite her being a former White Fang member, Blake strongly disagrees with the level of violence and hatred they have exhibited towards Humans, seeing the group as heavily misguided. Due to her feline like heritage, she is a realistic person who has seen how the real world works, which also contributes to her stance as a skeptic on the possibility of attaining a righteous world. Likes: Blake’s likes depend mostly on her mood. When she’s in a good mood a warm bed, a dry place to sleep, food in her belly; Blake is normally a girl of simple tastes. A nice, strong pot of apple cinnamon tea, peppermint tea, or some other delicious hot drink is often seen in the female’s hands. She’s a fan of the arts; enjoying music most of all as well as the visual arts. She enjoys drawing, enjoys writing stories. She’s a girl who enjoys swords and has been fascinated with them since she was a very young girl. However, when Blake is in a bad mood her likes vary greatly. She enjoys watching others in pain; becomes the sadist she is at heart. Hurting others, destroying things, ripping families apart: blood, guts, and gore are no stranger to her when she’s in this mind-set. Rumor has it she even bathes in the blood of her victims; dines among the dead while sipping on her favorite tea. Dislikes: Blake does not really verbally speak of her dislikes though that does not mean she does not have them; she just simply believes in keeping her thoughts and feelings private and silent. However, Blake has a sort of ‘I don’t discriminate, I hate everyone equally’ type of outlook on the world. If you haven’t give her a reason to like you then she’ll automatically dislike you: it’s easier to get her to hate you then it is to get her to like you. It’s not that she’s attempting to be judgmental since most people have never done anything wrong to her – she simply feels that if she allows them to get too close to her they will take the opportunity to do so. She despises shinobi who claim to be the smartest, fastest, strongest, or best out in the world but none more so than those who actually do nothing more than brag when they truly have done nothing worthy of glory. Motivations: Blake has no true motivations, save for gathering information. The purpose of her gathering information? Well, time will tell...though, the chances of it having something to do with her past are relatively high. In any case, her current goal is to impress her 'superiors' in an effort to gain their trust, and rise within the ranks of the village. Everything she learns, she keeps stored on a personal scroll -- research and development done by the military scientists, battle plans and troop deployments. She even has a nifty little roster of the soldiers within the military, as well as volumes upon volumes of scrolls of blackmail information on the commanding officers. Why does she have this kind of information saved? "Insurance." But at the same time, as she's gathering this information, Blake hopes to use it for one purpose; to find the organization that ordered the murder of all of those villagers during the Death Games, and attempted to control her life. While she does not resent her parents for what happened, she holds the organization in full responsibility. Fears: With all of her information gathering, oddly enough Blake does not fear getting caught by the officers of her village, but rather she simply does not care. Her getting caught would only push forward the next phase of her personal mission. But beyond this... What is there to fear but fear itself? The idea of failure only causes fear in the idea of her being unable to protect those she loves; but even that goes so much deeper than just fear. It becomes a physical pain that manifests a rage beyond comprehension. A rage, that only when it is satisfied and has left her, would indeed leave her as an empty shell of a person. There really can't be anything else listed that Blake fears; given her rather insane qualities that allow her to see past the fears a normal person would have. Even the fear of her own death or an intense amount of pain has little to no hold over her, giving her the ability to charge into a battle without hesitation; even if the odds are stacked highly against her - something that normally instills fear into the hearts of those she is facing off with. Something that tends to cause most to flee in terror, vomit, or otherwise piss themselves when faced with it. History:- History:
"Mom, got what you asked for.", Blake shouted through the house, wondering exactly where the old woman had wondered off to this time. She walked through first the living room and then into the dining room and kitchen combo. Nothing to see here. Sighing, Blake sat down the bag of groceries and placed her hands on her hips. She couldn't hear any creaking of floorboards that would signal her grandmother being upstairs, infact the house was completely quiet. 'This is weird.', she thought to herself as she looked around. No note, no sort of indication, so unlike her grandmother. "Heads up!", came the shout from the elderly female voice. Blake twirled, hand moving out infront of her, a jet of air shooting out from her palm and blasting the three glass plates that had been launched at her clear out of the air, shattering them into the walls. She moved herself into a fighting stance, knowing more was sure to follow. "For being such an old lady you sure do move fast as hell...", Blake muttered, white gaze darting this way and that as she searched for the smallest trace of where her grandmother could've concealed herself. Three more plates came from her left and she deflected them in much the same manner as the first set. She moved her form slowly in a circle, waiting and watching. There came three more, this time from behind her. She twirled, sinking down into a crouch as she sent another blast of air to deflect this set. "Really, is all this necessary?" "Absolutely, have to keep you on your toes.", came her grandmother's voice from behind Blake. Blake turned, watching as her grandmother limped her way into the kitchen and leaning heavily on the staff the old woman always carried. Blake pulled the chair out for her grandmother at the island counter before moving over to the bag of groceries and beginning to empty the contents and place them into their correct place. She'd just placed the bag back where it belonged when she received a sharp rap right to the back of her head. Flinching she rubbed the top of her head, turning to her grandmother. "What was that for?!" "You said a bad word earlier. I might be old, but I'm not senile.", her grandmother chuckled, having placed herself in the chair Blake had pulled out. "Great.. now I'm going to have a lump for the next week..." "It'll be a reminder to watch your language. You're a young lady, not a barbarian." Blake just rolled her eyes. There was no point in arguing with the old lady, there was no winning against her. Blake knew, she'd tried several times only to give up and end up walking away feeling a bit confused about the whole ordeal. "Now, tell me Blake, have you found what you've been searching for?" Blake went over to the freezer, opening it and pulling out one of the well used ice packs. She then sat herself down at the counter, a good ways from her grandmother incase she decided anymore whacking was in order. She leaned herself forward on one arm while using the hand of the other to keep the ice pack on the back of her head. "Who said I'm looking for something, Mom?" Her grandmother chuckled and just shook her head. "You cannot fool this old lady, Blake. Ever since you came back from the horrid place and found me you've done nothing more then look out those windows like you're hoping to find something or someone. You go running out the house at random when whatever catches your eye does only to return disappointed, child. You, my dear, are searching for something. Now, why don't you tell Mom about it and maybe I can help, dear." Blake sighed, she knew deep down that this day was going to come. Nothing got past her grandmother, nothing ever had. With a sigh she slumped herself forward, resting her chin on her arms now folded and resting on the counter before her, the ice pack sitting on the top of her head on its own. "I dunno, Mom... I miss my friends.." "Aw, dear. I'm sure you'll find them. It's only been a few months, you must give these things time. If you don't find them I'm sure they'll find you. Have patience, dear." Blake sighed again and just turned her head to the side, staring out the window once more and allowing the ice pack to slip from her head onto the counter. "I thought that was what you were going to say..." "If they're around here they will find you, Ave. I know you don't want to wait, I understand you miss them, but sometimes things take time for a reason." Blake smirked, lifting her head up again. "Yeah, because everyone knows about the crazy flying lady here..." Blake's grandmother looked at her with perfect innocence on her face. "Well it's not like I'm supposed to walk... I'm frail, and old, and I give out easily. Must easier to fly." Blake just snorted and shook her head. "Whatever you say, old lady." THWACK! came the staff, only this time Blake'd been expecting it and catch the thing before dodging herself away from another attempt and escaping out the door, laughing. Before getting too far she heard her grandmother chuckle and utter the words of "You have to come back sometime and when you do I'll be waiting, Blake." Chuckling, Blake grabbed the smaller version of the staff her grandmother had and took off down the street heading towards the cliffs that lined the sea, further out and way from most of the majority of the towns people. Glancing around for a moment she then slipped her hand up the shaft, flicking the small and almost unseeable switch which cause the glider's wings to slide out. Taking another glance she then took off at a run, heading straight towards the cliffs. Positioning herself perfect she took off right before hitting the edge. Instead of plummeting into the rocky ocean below she soared through the air, laughing as the feeling of pure freedom swept over her, allowing her mind to clear of all the doubt and worry as she focused souly on being free in the air. As she glided around she looked down at the ocean below her, spotting a small ship that was just coming into port...
Blake swooped down towards the small boat and then back up into the air. She'd seen many boats before, this was a fishing village after all. But this one was different. It was far too small to be one of the varies net fishing boats, in fact it looked rather small for any sort of fishing. It looked instead exactly like the sort of boat that would carry passengers on it. 'Why are people coming here?', Blake thought to herself. 'There's nothing here at all. Must be a family member of someone.' "Blake! There's a storm coming, child. Come inside!" Blake looked towards the voice, spotting her grandmother standing on one of the many cliffs. She looked once more towards the small boat that was just now tethering itself to the dock, people coming up from below to disembark. With a sigh she glided herself over to the cliffs and once above them closed the glider and with a light push of air around her form allowed herself to safely hit the ground. "Mom, there's not a cloud in the sky." "It's coming, I can feel it in my old bones." Once again, no point in arguing with the woman, if anything it'd only gain her another whack with that staff she always had. So, instead of arguing she just followed her grandmother back up the path leading to their small home. "Mom, why would people be coming here?", she asked suddenly. "I'm not sure, child. Maybe they know someone in the village. I wouldn't pay it much mind, dear." Blake glanced back at the path that led to the docks, but it'd be too soon for anyone to have made it up that hill this far, especially with having to grab luggage and other such belongings. It took only a matter of moments to reach their home, her grandmother moving far faster then regular old lady should. Reaching their home Blake paused, staring up at the old place. "Mom, I'm going to go out back... practice for a little while. If I see or hear the storm coming then I'll come in, 'kay?" Her grandmother turned towards her, staring at her for a moment before nodding. "Alright, dear. Don't overdo it." The elderly lady then reached up inside her sleeve of all places and pulled out a scroll, handing it to Blake who took it with a shocked expression. "I found this at my old home.. use it wisely, and don't aim for the house." With that she shuffled herself inside and closed the door. Blake headed around back, leaning her glider against the outer wall of the house. With scroll in hand she headed for the center of the rather large yard. Sitting Indian style in the grass she unrolled the scroll infront of her and sat there, staring at it. It was definitely old, and from the look of the technique, definitely dangerous. She ran her fingertips gently over the scroll, memorizing the information. When finished she rolled the scroll back up and placed it safely off to the side, her hands curled into fists and she placed her knuckles together, taking a deep breath and slowly exhaling she slipped into a meditative state, prepared to meditate on the information before practicing it. After nearly an hour of sitting in the same position Blake reopened her eyes. Taking a deep breath and exhaling she allowed the air around her to lift her form up and off the ground, moving while doing so from a sitting to a stand position. Once in a standing position she lowered herself to the ground, white gaze searching for a potential target for what she was about to attempt. It didn't take but a moment to spot the small air filled ball that had been kicked into their yard and left there, probably forgotten, months ago. 'That'll work.', she thought to herself. Using the air itself she pushed the ball up and over to her. Placing one hand below the ball and the other ontop, both palms facing the ball she allowed the thing to seemingly hover without touching. Focusing she began to spin the air around the ball, allowing it to rotate the ball as it went. Faster and faster all while the ball kept its same perfect sphere shape. As the ball moved faster the air currents spread out, causing Blake's dark hair to blow around, along with her shirt. She kept going until the ball was achieving the speed she wanted it to. She then threw the thing up into the air, using the air to push herself right up after it. Farther and farther up until both her and the violently rotating ball were even. She then sent her leg out, kicking it while releasing a great deal of air from her kick itself, sending the ball shooting straight towards the line of trees a good five hundred yards out. It went through the first two trees before losing momentum thanks to the rubber ball breaking. The entire thing took a matter of five seconds or so. She then allowed herself to lower, safely to the ground, air rippling through her clothing as she landed. "Sweet!", Blake heard a female voice exclaim behind her. Turning sharply Blake spotted them, the three friends she'd made while at that horrible academy. A grin spread ear to ear as Blake all but skipped herself over to them, her speed picking up and causing her to go from the complete opposite side of the yard she'd been on over to where her friends were in a matter of two bounds. Her arms spread out and she latched herself onto the black and green haired female, hugging her tightly. "I missed you guys so much!" Marquetta hugged her back, chuckling. "We missed you, too." Finally releasing Marquetta she gave a brief hug to the two young gentlemen with her. Her gaze then darted to her grandmother who had joined the group out on the back porch. "Mom, I'm sure you remember Marquetta. These two are Mitsuo.." She inclined her head to the water bender. ".. And Lee." She then inclined her head to the fire bender. "Well it's nice to meet all of you, Blake's been impatiently waiting for you to find her." With a chuckle her grandmother disappeared back into the house, calling over her shoulder, "Dinner will be ready in ten minutes!" before closing the door behind her. Blake looked skyward, rolling her eyes about her grandmothers comment. "Sometimes... her bluntness is so not needed.", Blake muttered. Mitsuo unstrapped the gourd of water from his back, placing it down on the porch before sitting himself next to it on the steps. Lee meanwhile took to leaning against one of the many posts that held up the porch's roof nearby Mitsuo. Marquetta stood behind Blake, her chin resting on Blake's shoulder as her arms wrapped around her waist, her usual cuddly self. Blake, still grinning, wrapped her arms over Marquetta's. "Not that I'm not super thrilled that you guys are here, but how exactly did you find me?" An eyebrow raised at the end of her question as she then tilted her head gently to the side and rested it against Marquetta's. Mitsuo looked to Lee who then in turn looked back. Mitsuo shrugged and Lee turned his gaze to Blake. "Well, we found Mar by accident. She was searching for you, too. She'd ruled out all of your old homes you'd lived at, and then said something about remembering your grandmother had had a place out by some port." Lee then shrugged. "We started searching them, then we heard rumors about some flying old lady and Mar said that it definitely sounded like your grandmother. So, here we are." Marquetta gave her a squeeze of a hug as Blake heard her grandmother shouting about dinner being done from inside. "Well, after all that you guys must be starving, come on. I'm sure my grandmother's made enough for everyone, and she's an excellent cook." With that she led the group inside and over to the island counter where they sat on the many provided stools. Mar meanwhile took it upon herself to begin helping Mom with the serving and plating until everyone had something to eat and she returned back to her seat, right next to Blake. "Ave.. what happened when you got out?", Mar asked curiously. Blake paused, looking to her grandmother who just gave a nod of some sort of approval before Blake looked to the group as a whole. "Well, when we finally got out of there and split up I started searching for Mom. I didn't know what had happened to her, and had had no idea of where she could be." She sighed softly. "I didn't have much luck the first week or so of searching, then one night.. I had this dream. It wasn't like a normal one.. weird, really. I was in my spirit form but had had no idea how I had managed to get like that. I was just floating across the land and sea, floating right to this place." Blake shrugged then. "When I got here in my dream I saw Mom just standing on the cliffs and heard her say 'Blake, it's time to come home now, child' like she used to when I was younger. So.. I decided to go for it and headed here, which is where I found her." Lee and Mitsuo were staring at her curiously, the food on their plates half touched as they'd stopped eating towards the end of her story. Mar however was eating like she'd never seen food before, but between bites managed to get out "I didn't know you could do that.". Blake squirmed slightly in her chair as she met Mar's slightly accusing gaze. "Well, honestly, I don't like to do it. I knew I could go into the spirit world like that but it's not safe. It leaves my body entirely unprotected unless I specifically tell someone what I'm doing and allow them to guard me, or hide myself very well. Let alone the spirit world isn't exactly safe in itself, and I can't air bend there, either. So, it's just not something I like to do unless I have good reason. But that... I dunno what that was honestly. The weirdest part is that Mom shared the dream with me. When I told her how I found her she told me she'd had the same dream, only from her side of it." Blake shook her head. "Mom's been looking back, finding anything ancient she can get her hands on to try and figure out what it's all about, but we've come up empty handed so far." Lee continued to look at her curiously. Mitsuo on the other hand just smirked and shook his head. "You get weirder every day, air head." Mom chuckled as if that was the funniest thing she'd heard all day, which caused Blake to give her grandmother a half hearted glare. Mar meanwhile just rolled her eyes, having finished off her plate. "This coming from you, seaweed brain?" Mom laughed even harder, dabbing at her eyes with a small piece of cloth. "Oh, I like them, Ave. You should've warned me your friends were so funny." Blake just shook her head, taking a bite of her food in the mean time, her white gaze darting to the window as a dark and nasty storm cloud began to roll in, lightning flashing and thunder booming in the distance. "Guess those old bones of yours were right, Mom." Lee looked towards Mitsuo. "We should get going if we're going to get into town before this hits, I don't know how many rooms that inn had available." Mom shook her head. "Nonsense. You're more then welcome to stay here, besides that place will rob you blind and the food's not very good. We've got more then enough room for everyone." Mom then stood up, grabbed Mitsuo's empty plate, filled it, and set it down in front of him again. "There you are, dear." She then proceeded to walk off down the hall where the nearest closet was and dig through it. Mitsuo, blinking, looked from Mom's back to his plate of food and then back to Blake. Blake grinned, "My Mom gets... feelings.. about things. I stopped questioning it a long time ago." "Mm, well I was still hungry.", he said before digging in again. "Man your grandmother can cook.." "I've left a pile of blankets here on the couch. Mar I'm sure you'll want to share Blake's room with her. The couch folds out for you boys, and it's very comfortable.", Mom said softly as she came back into the kitchen. "I'm going to go for a while, but I'll be back later. I have a hunch I might know where to find out some more stuff. Blake, lock up, I have my keys, dear." With that Mom hobbled herself out, once more with that large staff she always carried.
Blake looked at her group of friends and motioned for them to join her in the living room. Once there she sprawled herself out in one of the many chairs, Mar quickly joining her in the same chair, sitting on her lap. "Is it safe for Mom to go out by herself like that, Ave?" Mar asked. Blake watched as both Lee and Mitsuo sprawled themselves out on a couch. "She's more then capable of handling herself. I pity anyone who tries messing with that woman, Mar." Mar giggled. "Does she still beat people with that stick?" Blake flinched in remembrance and rubbed her head where she'd been whacked earlier. "Yeah... she definitely still does that." Mitsuo laughed. "She got you, didn't she?" THWACK! went the staff across Mitsuo's head. "I forgot something.. and now you've been got, too!" Mom said from the doorway before she disappeared up the stairs and out of sight. Everyone remained silent as they listened to the creaking of floorboards that signified the old woman moving around upstairs. Mom came back down the steps before hobbling herself out the front door. Blake blinked a few times before looking towards Mitsuo. "Heh, fancy that... she likes you." Mitsuo only stared for a moment before, "That's how she shows she likes someone?! I don't even want to think of what she does if she loves someone, or scratch that, hates them!" Mar laughed. Lee just smiled a ghost of a smile while shaking his head. "Well, if you're me she at random throws glass dishes to keep you on your toes. Or, if she thinks you're really out of practice she throws knives among other sharp or very heavy objects." Mitsuo was for the moment speechless. Lee gave a light chuckle. "Well, I can see how she's showing she cares, albeit in a very twisted way, but still." Blake shrugged. She then lifted Mar's form up and off of her lap using a gently gust of air. She slipped out from beneath her and then placed her lightly back into the chair. She moved over to the fireplace, a small draft of cold air coming through the old house began to pick up. She pulled a few more fresh logs from the pile and added them to the dwindling amount there. Standing up she replaced the safety grate and turned. A small jet of fire shot from the couch and to the logs, igniting them instantly. Blake looked towards Lee with a smile. "Thanks, saves me the trouble of having to figure out where Mom hid the lighters." Mar looked over, black eyebrow raised in question. "She doesn't still try and light you on fire, does she?" Lee raised a brow in curiosity now while Mitsuo muttered, "Crazy lady..." Blake shook her head, smiling slightly. "No, she gave up on it. These days I won't even let the lighter actually light. Frustrates her something fierce." Lee shook his head. "Your grandmother used to try and light you on fire?" Blake shrugged, now placing herself on Mar's lap and sprawling out comfortably. "Light me on fire, drown me in large buckets of water... Hell, she used to convince Mar to pelt me with large chunks of earth when we were younger." Mar giggled. "She paid me with those delicious chocolate chip cookies of hers." Blake snorted. "Good to know you were swayed by cookies." Mar laughed, wrapping her arms around Blake's waist, hugging her tightly. "Aww, don't be like that, you know I love you." Blake could only shake her head with a smile. "She had a reason for it all, though, I guess. She wanted me as prepared as I could get with every situation. Other then Mar we didn't know any other benders about my age for me to train with. So, she did what she could to get me ready." Lee nodded. "Understandable." Mitsuo just shook his head again. A booming knock on the door turned all four of their attention to the thick wooden front door. Eyebrow raised Blake lifted herself up and off of Mar's lap. Landing lightly she then walked over to the door, hand held out to it despite her not moving to open it. "Who's there?" "Miss Blake, your grandmother needs you! It's an emergency, please hurry!", came the panicked voice from the other side. With those words Blake didn't hesitate anymore and using her other hand opened the door to reveal the drenched old man on the other side. "What's going on?" "There are people, they're trying to take your grandmother, down by the docks!"
Blake took off into the down pour, lightning flashing throughout the sky, thunder booming from overhead. Her fear for her grandmother drove her to move faster and faster, using the wind to push her towards her destination as she ran. Across the yard, right over the fence, down the road, and then down the path and straight to the docks she went, heart racing. She could hear her grandmother as she got further down the hill, she was hollering up a storm, threatening them to high heaven with what she was going to do when she got free. Blake slowed herself, years of training kicking in and telling her not to go rushing in despite the fact that it was her grandmother in trouble. She knew if she didn't analyze the situation she might very well end up in trouble, too. Something off to the right of her caught her eye, her grandmothers staff lay snapped in half, and burned. 'Lovely...', came that sarcastic voice in her head. She glanced back just as Mitsuo, Lee, and Mar caught up with her. The group ducked down, hiding behind an old and worn out boat, staring over the thing just enough to get an idea of exactly what was going on down the hill. Four hooded and masked figures held her grandmother, chains being wrapped around the frail looking woman. Two more stood off to the side, keeping guard it would seem from a distance. Another pair stood at the bottom of the hill, blocking the path for anyone who would dare try to interfere. Several more stood by three distinctly evil looking ships. A large number, but not impossible odds with the plan brewing up in her brain. Just as she was about to turn to the other three and explain she heard a voice boom out from down below, "Shut it, old woman! Enough of your nonsense!" Blake peeked back over, watching as her grandmother first showed shock and then anger as she realized who was behind that particular mask. "It was you! I should've known you'd come back eventually!" She then did something that shocked Blake, and had it been a different situation, would have made her laugh. She spit on the mans shoes. Disgusted and enraged the man raised a hand and backhanded the old woman across the face, hard enough to where her body fell limp, the guards and chains the only thing keeping her from lying on the cold wet ground. "Load her in the ship, and be quick about it." Blake's rage burned. "This is what we're going to do...", she said through clenched teeth, hands balled into fists as she held herself back from just launching herself down there without explanation. "Lee, Mar, if you two can handle the ones still on the ground I have an idea of a storm for Mitsuo and I to cook up..." Lee nodded, looking lingeringly to Mitsuo but not saying a word. Mitsuo looked back in just the same way before Lee slipped off down the hill. Mar held out the staff Blake had used earlier. "Here, you'll need this.. and be safe.", she said softly before taking off down the hill behind Lee. Blake looked to Mitsuo as she stood up. "Lets give them a storm they'll never forget." Mitsuo's response was a grin before the two took off up down another path to the ocean below. Mitsuo stepped out into the ocean, going until the water was waist deep. Blake pressed that mainly hidden button again, allowing the glider's wings to pop free once more. She then took off into the sky, gaining some height. From her advantage point Blake could see exactly what was going on on the beach. Mar had raised a cliff right out of the ground, an unbelievably smooth wall that blocked those who'd remained on the beach, including her now unconscious grandmother, from making an exit. The four who had hold of her grandmother were trying to drag her across the beach and to the wall, trying to find another way to the boats. The others had turned their attention to Mar and Lee and were beginning to close in on the pair. Blake got back with the proMom, sure that Mar and Lee were more then capable of handling themselves. She swooped down, moving herself in a rotating formation around the same large surface of water. Mitsuo, controlling the water slowly began to raise it up, where the large wind Blake was now causing caught it and began to help rotate the entire thing. The more water that began to be added to the vortex the faster Blake spun herself. Faster and faster until a vortex began in the ocean itself, growing in size and intensity. Another glance at the beach revealed that Lee had created a large wall of fire that surrounded Mar and himself and hide them from view and kept those attempting to attack them at bay. It also created a cover for what Mar was doing: lifting up large pieces of the earth and sending them straight to those on the other side either by punching them or kicking them right through the fire. Back to what she was doing. Now the vortex had more then enough water in it, and enough momentum to keep it up from the amount of air now mixed within the structure of the thing, it was time to speed things up. She moved herself into the middle of the vortex, closing the wings on her glider and spinning the stick above her much like a helicopter blade, faster and faster. The entire structure began to spin faster as Mitsuo now began to move the water around the boats backwards, pushing them right into the vortex itself. Lee's wall had spread by the time Blake got another glimpse of the beach. Several charred members of the hooded and masked group lay around, while others were just entirely bloodied by the damage done by what Mar had done. The boats were now being sucked right down in the vortex, into the depths of the ocean itself, forced under by the small hurricane they'd created on top of the whirlpool in the center of it. Now that their exit was taken care of Blake shot herself up higher into the air and away from the rotating air and water, allowing it to lose momentum. She opened the wings of the glider mid-air and soared herself down to the beach. Mitsuo turned, his gaze resting on Lee for a moment before he walked out of the ocean and up to where the others now stood. Upon landing and closing the glider's wings Blake looked towards Mar, Lee, Mitsuo, her unconscious grandmother... and the man who'd struck her. She couldn't help but smirk as she watched exactly what was going on. Lee had captured him, and each time the many tried to run found himself being electrocuted, and it looked damn painful. Blake moved over to them, knowing that Lee had the man more then enough under control. So, that meant her first priority was her grandmother's well being. No longer chained, but still not conscious Blake knelt next to her as she was lying on the ground. She gently moved her grandmother's white hair out of the way, revealing exactly where she'd been struck. Her anger burned again. Her grandmother's face was cut, rather deeply, thanks to the mans ring. A shadow cast by the dwindling fire announced Mitsuo's arrival beside her. He knelt down, a small amount of water rising from the gourd on his back, covering his hand. With a faint glow he placed the hand onto the wound on Mom's face, a moment later he removed his hand, the wound gone, having healed her. "Thanks Mitsuo..." Mitsuo nodded and stood, moving back over to Lee's side. Mom's eyes slowly opened and she slowly sat up. "What... " Her gaze fell upon the man who'd struck her. "You!" "Calm down, Mom. Let us handle this, you should rest." The old woman looked for a moment like she was going to argue and then just nodded with a sigh before slowly getting to her feet. Blake handed her the staff she'd been carrying to help her walk and she watched as her grandmother moved off to the side using the staff for support. When she sat herself down on one of the large boulders now scattered around the area Blake took the time to turn her attention to the man. "Now, there's two ways we're going to do this... The easy way, and the hard way. I was taught to respect the easy way and hope for that... but after what you did to my grandmother I'm really hoping you refuse to spill.." ----- It was, all in all, what started Blake down the path she had started to take - a path where if someone does't step in and stop it soon will result in one of two things: she will either die or she will become the greatest missing-nin of all time. RP Sample: Blake had spent the better part of the past few days using the scrolls she had brought into her room to search through the information of the underground lab for any hint of information she could find on her sister. She hadn't heard anything about her or her mother since they had been brought in to the lab back before she had been infected with the enhanced virus. The scientists and medics had told her that it was either her or her family and of course she took that bullet as evident of what she now was. She had stayed up a good portion of the night trying to figure out where they had gone after that but there was only so much she could do from her room compared to actually using the facilities scrolls. So, she had thrown her scrolls aside on her bed and then left her room. She threw a glance towards Drake's bedroom and then headed down the hallway. It didn't take her long to reach the room she was looking for and as she walked in she paused: Drake was there. Well, that had been an unexpected surprise. An eyebrow rose as she walked over to the counsel, ignoring what he had been looking up: him stealing things from the laboratory was the least of her worries. "Leaving so soon?", she commented off handedly as she started pressing a series of buttons. Within a few seconds she brought up a video of a room filled all sorts of medical equipment with Amaranth strapped to a steel table in the center. Another button push and the video would begin to play: Blake lifting her head up as a door was opened, a little girl who could easily be recognizable as her sister with an older woman who looked like her mother coming in under heavy guard. Voices began to play then from the speakers located around the room. "Mom? Rose? No.. let them go! LET THEM GO!", Blake could be seen shouting. "Sister!", the younger girl called out while attempting to run towards Blake; only to be stopped by the masked guard and restrained. "It's you or them, Blake. Either you take the injection or we give it to them. Decide, NOW!", one of the scientist in the room spoke while walking over towards her, carrying a large syringe filled with black liquid. "Me. Give it to me. Let them go! LET THEM GO FIRST!", Blake responded on the video instantly. The scientist jerked his head then towards the guards and Blake's younger sister and mother disappeared... and then Blake was injected. The video feed then went dark but that wasn't what Blake cared about: what happened to her afterward didn't matter. Instead, she used the video feed to follow both her sister and mother as they were led back to their holding cell instead of being released. She fast forwarded it, watching their lives in that little tiny room: being fed, watered, and otherwise ignored. Every so often a scientist would come in but there was no sound so it was pointless to watch. Then finally lights went off on the video, showing the time where Amaranth had escaped along with others. Blake's mother was dragged out as was her sister... and lead out of the building. They could still be alive. She didn't know if Drake was still there or not as she hung her head, she didn't know if he had watched it all play out before him on the screen or not, but still she spoke, "Take what you want... lock the door on your way out. I'm going to find my sister even if it kills me." Her hands shook, the idea of her sister out in that world with those horrible men scared her: terrified her more than the knowledge of the possibility of her dying did. Faceclaim: Blake - RWBY |
