Basic Clan Rules
Thanks to the reboot and updating of the site plot; we are no longer requiring that you be a part of a clan. However, if you wish to start with a KKG ability, you MUST either create or join an existing clan; unless given special permission from the Admins.
If you choose to start without a clan, you will receive 2D and 1C rank jutsu to start, on top of the normal 5 free jutsu you receive for creating the character. If you wish to take an item instead, you may app 2 D-rank items, or 1 C-rank item.
*** All custom Doujutsu KKG MUST have the approval of 2 or more Admins for approval. This is non-negotiable.***

Due to a recent influx of... poorly designed clans; the staff ha decided to adjust the rules and regulations governing special or custom releases; as well as clarify a few of the clan ability systems.
1) All custom, special, or not currently existing clan based releases MUST be brought to the attention of staff BEFORE you create the clan. This way we can tell you if the idea is even allowable before anyone's time is wasted.
2) All advanced elements MUST be pre-approved by staff. This is non-negotiable.
3) Clans that wish to have a free item MUST specialize in the area of that weapon. This means that in order to get a free sword; your clan has to specialize in Kenjutsu to the exclusion of nearly anything else; and must have drawbacks that match the clan's abilities.
4) Clans MUST have legitimate drawbacks. If you want a +1 in Taijutsu, then you take a -1 to Genjutsu; or something to that effect. The point of the clan rules is balance. If you cannot present something that will not tilt the balance unfairly in your advantage, then you will be denied.
+1 and -1 SystemThis system is actually quiet simple; but highly misunderstood. In simplest terms; a + 1 or -1 is nothing more then denoting that your character will receive a boost or weakness of that amount in a specific area. Unless otherwise specified; a +/- 1 will effect only the power of a jutsu or element. In order to receive a boost to the ability of a clan, you must denote that the +/- 1 is to rank and power; at which point you will receive the boost/weakness in the form of the actual power of the jutsu/specialty, as well as what rank you are able to use them up to.
For example:
- Clan "xxx" receives a +1 to all Taijutsu.
What this means is that any Taijutsu attack that connects will be treated as doing damage one rank higher then it normally would.
- Clan "yyy" receives a +1 to rank and power of all Ninjutsu.
What this means is that all Ninjutsu the user has will hit with the power of a jutsu one rank higher then normal; while also allowing the user to use NINJUTSU of one rank higher then normal; or two ranks above their own.
- Clan "zzz" receive a +1 to all Genjutsu used against them.
What this says is that any Genjutsu used against the player is boosted one rank in power and effectiveness.
- Clan "aaa" receives a - 1 rank and power to all Raiton jutsu.
What we have here is an example of a power reduction. The clan is weak in it's usage of Raiton jutsu to the point that they actually lose a full rank's worth of power, as well as never being able to harness the element to it's fullest potential, as they cannot learn Raiton above A-rank.
- All Doton jutsu used against clan 'bbb' receives a +1 boost to power.
Simple enough, the clan is weak to Doton (earth); and as such any earth jutsu used against them hits for one rank's power higher.
Now, let's look at an actual example from an approved clan, with a fairly simple (if extreme) drawback.
- Quote :
- This clan specializes in Fuuinjutsu almost to the exclusion of all other specialties. Members must have both Fuuinjutsu and Raiton as their primary specialization and elements. They receive a -1 rank in Ninjutsu, Chakra Flow, Medical Ninjutsu, and Puppetry. Tsukino receive a -3 rank and power to Genjutsu as a specialty. The -1 to specialties is not counteracted by the clan's +1 to Raiton jutsu. The clan is EXTREMELY susceptible to Genjutsu attacks; and as such all attacks are treated as +3 in power.
What we have here is the drawback to a clan that has very, very powerful advantages. Several + rank/power, as well as two separate special clan abilities that on their own are extremely useful. However, notice the large amount of drawbacks they posses.
-Restricted to specific primary specialization/element.
-Reduced rank and power to 4 specialties that cannot be counteracted by the clan's +1 effect
-EXTREME weakness to Genjutsu. This clan takes a -3 rank/power for their own usage, as well as any Genjutsu used against them being boosted by an ADDITIONAL 3 rank/power. In this instance, the weakness stacks from both ends; giving this clan a weakness to Genjutsu so pronounced that a Genin with Genjutsu could destroy an S-rank member of the clan without even trying; as the weakness stacks up to a +6 power boost to any Genjutsu used against them.
So you see; the system itself is fairly simple; but can be taken to extreme levels if done correctly. The main issue is, and continues to be, balance. We as staff strive to maintain a fair and balanced game; where no one comes in with an undue advantage just because they rolled the right clan; nor can any clan get away with highly overpowered abilities just because they dropped several half assed drawbacks that added up to some arbitrary number. You want to be powerful? Be ready to have some serious weaknesses.
Doujutsu Restrictions
Dōjutsu (瞳術; English TV "Visual Jutsu"; Literally meaning "Eye Techniques") are genetic ninja abilities that utilise the eyes, granting the wielder ocular abilities. Being a by-product of specific kekkei genkai, dōjutsu are not classified as one of the major jutsu types. They do not require the use of hand seals and in some cases facilitate in the use of or defence against genjutsu, taijutsu and ninjutsu and then defeat their opponent. All known dōjutsu also provide the user with some unique abilities, such as an extended field of vision or predictive capabilities. The use of dōjutsu often-time consumes a great deal of chakra. It should also be noted that along with the eye itself, techniques that stem from the eye's use are also known as dōjutsu. By transplanting the eye in question, it is possible for people to possess the dōjutsu, despite not being in the clan that the dōjutsu originates from.
- Dojutsu increase a certain aspect of your eyes; whether this is allowing the user to see chakra or just increasing something physical. (Though it is limited merely by your logical knowledge of what an eye could do.)
- The Byakugan and Sharingan are available only within the their respective clans- you may not have clones of these eyes, nor may your dojutsu have any relation to them. The same goes for the Rinnegan, while it is purely an event prize.
- You cannot augment something other than your eyes. Your tai can't be increased, you can't be magically faster, whatever. Genjutsu may be augmented by certain dojutsu if they are cast through the eye.
- I will repeat myself; an eye is a goddamn eye. Not your feet. Not your hands. Not your head or your genitalia. You. May. Not. Effect. The. Rest. Of. Your. Body. Other. Than. Your. Eye.
- Dojutsu can have up to TWO special jutsu, such as Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu for the Sharingan, and that is all. Things in relation to chidori: i.e, requiring the eye so the technique is able to be aimed/used well, are fine. As long as they are not cast by the eye directly/are usable PURELY while the eye is active, you are fine.
- A dojutsu is limited to one special boost, not counting custom jutsu it may allow you to use. You may not be able to see chakra and also be able to see 3,000 miles farther than normal. You get one augmentation. That is all.
- Be smart. Please. You know what looks OP and what doesn't; play fair.
~
All dojutsu require two admin approvals minimum, as stated in the clan guide. This is non-negotiable. You can wait a little longer, trust me.
~
All dojutsu are subject to extreme scrutinization. If you're going to make something, put your mind into it.
~
You are not entitled to a dojutsu. Don't complain if your eye gets denied for being insane. Likewise, if we have too many dojutsu clans/there are too many being apped, they can and will be closed to creation.

Crossing Clan and Mixing Multiple Clan Abilities
