The jewel of the desert, hiding and protecting the largest source of fresh, clean water in the entire sea of sand; Yokuchi is a thriving and vibrant village. For generations it was the merchant capital of the region; funneling goods and people across the lands and keeping watch over the merchant clans. Recently; it has benefited highly from the influx of Kumo and Suna refugees; bringing with them new technologies, goods, and causing the village to transition from a simple commercial powerhouse to one of the major political and military hubs of the world.

Kinzoku  | | 
One little more then a large cave beneath the city that provided direct access to the underground aquifer; this is now the home of much of the refugees. Ninja spent years carving out the underground cavern; using the existing tunnels and extremely dense rock they found for support. Crystal veins run to the surface and funnel the sunlight, keeping this place from feeling as much as a cave and more like a well lit building interior. Boats ferry much of the cargo over the waterways carved between neighborhoods; and people can be seen going about their business at all hours of the day and night. Several well protected stairways and tunnels lead back to the surface; and make sure that the two halves of the village never feel truly separated.

A sea of sand larger than the rest of the continent it cuts across; the desert of Yokuchi is a harsh place to call home. Only a few animals and nomadic tribes of humans call this land home; and for good reason. Sandstorms, lack of water, and insane temperature swings make crossing even short stretches of this landscape torturous; with only the jewel of Yokuchi and the very few oasis that dot the landscape offering any relief to travelers. To attempt this land unprepared is to court with death.
