While we're not reopening jutsu yet, we've started the rebuilding process. You'll notice that the forum is painfully empty right now; this is mostly due to archiving all old threads, characters, jutsu lists, etc. Threads for the most part are being deleted to make room; characters and such will be left archived and available for recovery upon request.

As of right now, these are the confirmed changes to the site:

These are the guaranteed changes. Others will be coming as needed/requested.  This thread will be left unlocked for the players returning to post comments, suggestions, requests, etc.

Please be aware: NO CHARACTER DATA HAS BEEN DELETED. All characters/clans/jutsu and item regs/lists/etc have merely been archived for safety reasons while we added and tweaked areas. Anyone planning on reviving a character/clan just needs to contact a staff member and they will move it to the open areas for edits and reapproval.

Alright, given everything we've managed to get done; we should be able to 'officially' reopen by Wednesday. <3 Finish getting your stuff reworked before then guys.

Chakra pools have been updated/boosted. They are as follows:

Genin: 200
Chuunin: 300
Special Jounin: 400
Jounin (A): 500
Jounin (S) / Kage: 600

Please understand these are just the base bottom amount, and by no means is the cap for what your chakra can reach on any given character.


We have also created a thread for people to post in when they need things done in the Admin Panel such as chakra being changed (please alert us in this thread if any character you're keeping needs their chakra changed to reflect the new pool), Ryo rewarded, ect. That thread can be found here. It's listed under the Announcements area for easy access to all.

Clan updates! Let the staff know what clans you want revived and they will be unarchived. Any clan from Denryuu or Hana that is being revived MUST be edited to reflect that the villages are destroyed. They can be moved to anywhere you want, or set to Scattered.

Let's get this started, guys.

Need my clans revived so they can be referenced I suppose. Jenshin and Burizado, and my jutsu/item/character etc. info returned. As it seems folks have plans for my old spot and I'm ambivalent to my kage status, I will give it up, just need that S-ranked Jonin rank.

Update: Icons have been added for those who have characters who were previously Kage's (see my own Korikage hat for an example). If you have a character you plan on using who was once a Kage please let us know via the Staff Inform Thread so we may update your symbols.

Only if you're still using that character, please!

Event update: We're gunna be starting new events soon as Thanksgiving is over; that way everyone's able to focus on family and whatnot instead of thinking of what to do.

Changes: Missions have been updated to reflect our new system. Word counts have been lowered, and the payment system is now 1 word = 1 Ryo instead of the base costs per rank.

Please Note!: WE KNOW THAT OUR MISSIONS LIST THE OLD RYO COUNTS ON THEM, BUT THEY ARE TO BE DISREGARDED. WE ARE CHANGING THEM AS WE GET TO THEM, HOWEVER THERE IS AN AWFUL LOT, AND IT WILL TAKE SOME TIME. IGNORE THOSE OLD RYO PAYOUTS, AND USE THIS NEW METHOD, PLEASE, WHEN CALCULATING HOW MUCH YOU GET PAID.

New section has been added to the Mission Library to hold the master listing of all Plot related missions.

The first wave of Plot missions is being posted over the next few days.

Winter/Christmas events are going to appear sometime in the next week to ten days, so keep an eye out for that.

We had a slight scare this morning, the founder account was compromised for a few minutes before either of us realized it. Thankfully I was able to log in and reset the details from a secure connection that I know for a fact is free of any sort of keyloggers, trojans, etc that would have defeated the purpose. In response to this, we're going to be spending most of the day today and likely part of tomorrow working on making backup copies of the site outside of the automatic backup that already happens to Forumotions servers; just in case of an event from which I can't recover the compromised accounts and things to get messed up. Please be patient, if we're not as responsive as normal, you know why. <3

New Bijuu are going up. 10-15 tail Bijuu are being uploaded slowly but surely.

A change to the original 9 has been made. Our original 7-tail has been scrapped in favor of a resurrected/revived Shuukaku the Sand Demon.

The last of the unreleased Bijuu should be appearing in the next two weeks. The 15-tail Octopant Awadachi is being finished as we speak, and should be fully uploaded tomorrow.~

Clan Updates! (2/24)

Several existing clans are being COMPLETELY overhauled due to poor writing, bad balancing, or just overall lack of upkeep.

As of right now, the clan creation section has been cleaned out of dead/inactive/banned clans, and staff is working to get updated clans back out as quickly as possible. The current list of updates is as follows:

• Ice Release- All Ice Release clans have been condensed into a single clan that is based mostly in Hinowa, however Ice release itself is NOT locked to this clan. Merely, you won't get the clan boosts/drawbacks by learning Ice Release on your own. This is how Ice Release has always functioned, so no big issues here. The new Ice Release Clan is the Kousetsu
  
• Magnet Release - The Jishaku clan is being removed in favor of a less broken Magnet Release clan. The new Magnet Release clan is the Jiseki Clan. Any Active Members of the Jishaku clan will be affected in the following ways:
      -You WILL retain all currently approved clan/non-clan Magnet Release Jutsu
      -You WILL NOT have to petition for a clan icon change. We will be overriding the Jishaku clan icon, so it will change on it's own.
      -You WILL NOT loose anything related to Magnet release that you currently have. If you wish to or need to redo your character's clan history in any way beyond swapping out clan names, alert the staff and we'll work with you.
      -Magnet Release: Magnet Shuriken has new coding, so you will need to change it out. It does NOT need to be re-approved, merely the coding must be switched. It has been boosted in power significantly.
  
• Rikka clan will be receiving a balancing update.
  
• Kaguya clan will be receiving a balancing update, as well as an updated history and possibly a jutsu update.
  
• We will be swapping the existing Komote clan for a new Crystal Release clan that reflect current site standards.
  

Other updates will be listed as they are confirmed. Check back regularly to make sure you're up to date.

Shadow Clone Ninjutsu has been updated! There is now a set chakra amount for each clone, plus the ability to add more. No more wasted chakra. <3 You can find the new coding under the B-Rank section of the Ninjutsu library.


MASSIVE MISSION LIBRARY UPDATE!

This is FINALLY happening. Over the next two or three days dozens, if not more, missions will be uploaded to the site; covering all the villages. New bounties, new mid-high rank (holygodtheBrankmissionsneverend), and all kinds of goodies are going up. Enjoy, everyone.~

Starting 3/7/2014 you will be able to roll a total of 5 times in the Lottery Event per character.

NEW SYSTEM IS BEING MADE!

- Hopefully we'll be getting things going in Niwa and Kumo soon. No word on Hinowa as of yet.


Kages! A good half of the current Kages/Leaders are going to be stepping down to make room for new blood; everyone that will be stepping aside took on the mantle of Kage as a temporary measure until we could find people, however that system/idea has basically floundered at this point. So, instead of forcing more misery and drama on the staff/Kages, we're going to be installing NPC Kages until such time as suitable replacements appear. Currently, we have only 1 application for a Kage position; and given that at least 2 will be vacated, there is plenty of room and time for more of you to attempt to step up. Please be aware that Kageship is a DIFFICULT job; you don't just get to sit there and do jack while racking up all the monies or something. You MUST be willing to work with and as part of staff; running events and moderating your village on top of being an active face within RP and IC wise. It's not for the faint of heart or the absolute beginner. This is why we're holding a screening process and the like to make sure we end up with people that can handle the job.

Staff applications are STILL open. We really are looking for several people to join up and spread the workload around; please don't hesitate to apply for a spot. We train ALL moderators, and JR Mod is a good starting place to see if you even want to be on staff if you've never done anything like it before. Let's see what you have, people.

-New clans uploaded.
-Several new elemental releases and kekkei tota are up and in need of a second admin for approval; along with a long list of previously uploaded releases.
-Lottery prize pool update is still in the works; we're trying to get enough staff together at once to agree on the new jackpot/super-rare prizes.
-Possible system updates in the next few weeks. More information will be released as we have it for you.


A final note: Staff applications will remain open through the end of the month. If we don't have any applicants by then, we'll suck it up and wait until the summer cycle to reopen them.

We've had a former staff member return full time; say hello and congratulations to Nasin; a former Kouyakage and long standing moderator that we're all happy to have back full time.
