| As each of the kage's went around explaining who they were, a few things caught Strafe's attention. First off to speak was the new kage of Makkura, Alex Kane Junior. His name alone made Strafe look down to his leg and narrow his eyebrows in thought. For such a person to be in charge of a village, the others needed to be very careful. This kid was probably extremely strong and pissing him off was not a good idea. The kid also pointed out the fact that Alex had abducted Amara and cut of Strafe's leg. He had to force a smile back as he was impressed by the kids awkward confidence. He would keep this conversation from being boring.
Then more people started to shuffle in. Another Inuzuka walked in and stood beside Hiroyuki, followed by yet another dog. Hisoka leaned down and spoke to Strafe quietly. "Thank you, Hisoka." He spoke softly to the boy before focusing on another person entering. He had met this person only once. He couldn't remember a name, but he knew he'd seen that face before. Regardless, the Kumo ninja went directly to the kids and kept them entertained. Hiromasa then began to speak, mentioning that he and Strafe had met previously. Good, at least they both recognized each other as something other than a threat. He also mentioned wanting to stay neutral, should any conflict arise. This made Strafe raise an eyebrow. Was he expecting conflict? He would soon find out.
The Hakage then opened a window after Amara introduced herself. The smell of flowers subtly entered the room as Hiroyuki continued to speak. Once he left the floor open for someone to speak, Strafe decided this was as good a time as any. "I am not a violent person nor do I wish for war. Yokuchi has been at peace for a long time and I have no wish to change that. However, I do not fear war or the strength of others. As long as we are treated with respect, we will return the favor. The only person that I have any questions for would be Junior." He said turning to look at the kid with a calm expression. "I do not wish to start a fight with you. However, your country hasn't been stable for a while and you're father has proved to be violent in the past. My question is how are we supposed to trust your village? I would rather be confident in what I need to do than be questioning about a village I have little to no knowledge of. This isn't meant in disrespect, I just am curious as to what your plans are." He finished speaking with a nod, turning it over to the kage. |

| So far so good. Nobody's made a go for his head yet. Someone else came in with another dog, who seemed to be Hiroyuki's father. Another guy came in behind him and went to whisper something to Strafe. Jr could only guess, but hoped it wasn't anything about him, or possibly Kinzoku. A final dude came in that Jr didn't know, but if he was here, he had to be important and yet another one of these super powers.
The chilly man, who introduced himself as Hiromasa Jenshin, said he'd met his father Alec Sr, and how he'd been polite. This must have been back before he came along, because he didn't remember ever seeing the chilly man in Makkura. After he talked about trading and remaining neutral when it came to alliances, the dragon girl Amara spoke up next. He'd noticed the girl staring in his direction longer than usual, as she was probably reminded of the time his father snatched her. She, just like Jr, seemed to be fairly new at this leader stuff.
After Hiroyuki opened the windows with a special panel on his desk, and explained more about the purpose of the meeting, he opened the floor up, and Strafe didn't hesitate to take it. Jr was expecting to have some shit flung in his direction sooner or later, be it it a small turd or a heaping pile of steaming bullshit. He said Makkura hadn't been stable in a while, and his father had a violent streak. He then asked how the rest were supposed to trust Makkura.
Jr took a deep breath and let it out slow, as to keep his temper down below the surface. If he got too mad, it would be too easy to start setting things on fire. Seeing as they were inside of a big tree? That probably wouldn't have been the best of ideas. He went over the words in his head, trying to be as polite as possible.
”Listen,” he started to say. ”My main reason for showing up here today is to let you and the bosses of the other villages know that Makkura is prepared to co-exist, to play nice; like Mr Hiroyuki here said, start fresh. My father is a hot head, a maniac, a psychopath, a villain, criminal, blah blah; all of the above. But nowadays, as long as no one pushes or provokes him, he's choosing to stay out of the way.
“But make no mistake,” Jr said in a more serious tone, taking his leg down from the armrest of the chair and sitting in it correctly, a more stern expression on his face as he spoke; his mood signified by the bird-shape aura surrounding him becoming more visible. ”Just because we're choosing not to be on the wild violent criminal organization thing anymore doesn't mean we're weak, and whoever thinks we're gonna roll over so one of you can fuck us, you better think again. We all brought that village back from the dump that it used to be with our bare hands, and we have women, children and elderly just like the rest of you. If somebody decides to try us? We have the manpower and the means to wage war, and you'll only have yourselves to blame if your village gets turned into a smoking crater.”
Jr sat back again, keeping the serious expression on his face. ”Take it as a threat if you want. Just letting it be known where we stand.” |

| The fuck was this guy smoking; coming into a clusterfuck of tanks and bitching about the rest of them fucking them over. Shit, if Hanagakure hadn't imploded, they'd still be scraping dirt looking for bugs to chew on; or whatever the fuck they'd done before. Pretentious asshole. The soft scratching of claws digging into wood could be heard by anyone with sharp enough ears; he was gripping the back of his son's chair hard enough that Hiroyuki instinctually leaned forward to avoid having shards of wood stabbing his neck. Short temper? Not really, but the audacity of the 'leaders' of Makkura... it was enough to turn his otherwise decent mood fairly sour; and create a second icy cold point in the room.
Of course, he'd missed the sort of apologies the Kuraikage had made, so he was working under the assumption they where proud of the BS they'd pulled. "Look kid; there's two reasons why your village even still exists. First off, those fuckers in your old sister village decided to self destruct finally. Second; my son here decided to keep the Lightning Bastard over there and I on a leash after the bullshit ya'll pulled. I don't care how powerful ya'll think you are, or what ya'll did. So you rebuilt one half dead village; big fucking deal. Amara's done the same thing in a quarter the time, and with less people. I'm not even gunna get into the shit my people have been doing for the last 200 years. You're nothing new, nor anything special. Check your privilege, and get ready to realize that the rest of the world isn't going to play nice. You're at the big boys table now; and as much as I rather do enjoy not having to go out and send my people to die; all the talk of peace is just that. Talk. It'll hold for a while; hell, I might even get to die of something approaching old age if I'm lucky; but don't expect a fucking medal and a pass from the crap that comes with being a major player just because you're new, you think you've done some shit, and you have "women, children, and elderly." Ya'll should have thought of that BEFORE you kidnapped my family and fucked with Yokuchi. You're sitting on 2 strikes far as I'm concerned; and while that means roughly jack and shit in regards to what's going to happen in the next few months or years; unless ya'll actually stick to this whole spiel of not fucking with anyone else for a bit; you're gunna end up going out the way Iwagakure did; clusterfucked on three sides and razed to the ground."
Yep, he was actually slightly pissy. However, he was a master of keeping his voice neutral enough; sans the Inuzuka growl that none of his clan could erase without voice modulation devices or jutsu. "I have zero plans to walk over there and start fucking with your shit; much as I would love too. I've had my fill of war, kid; I didn't get where I am today like the rest of these kids. I got it the old fashioned way; sheer fucking power and skill, battle tested and in the field. They don't call me the Golden General for nothing, even if I hate that title."
Aaaand there went the back of Hiroyuki's chair. Woops. The glare from his son was enough to have him backing off now; he was calm enough to realize when he'd gone to far. "Take it how you wish. If you know anything of me, you know I am brutally honest in my words. But they are just that, my own words. Don't let my opinions; good or bad; sour you to my son or the people he has to protect now. I'm just a tired old war dog with a bad habit of speaking my mind." With that, he made for the door; him staying would likely cause more problems after that rant. "Have fun, boys and girls. Aella, bring your friend home for a sleepover, if her mother will let you, eh." He made for the door, Yuki trotting away from the girls and to his side were she always was when she wasn't needed elsewhere. He needed a drink. A drink and some destruction. Time to get dunk and go level part of the forest.
[Exit unless prevented.]
--------------------------- ---------------------------
Jesusfuck, the Dog had lost his mind; he had to have. What other possible reason would there be for him to start verbally attacking the dude from the place that had all the fuckery? Shit, even the dogs looked surprised as shit; this was either the start of some serious fucktardedness, or the pissy bastard just pulled off the verbal bitch slap of the year. Something in his gut told him it was the former; and he did not envy the son's job. Poor kid, stuck cleaning up his father's mess and preventing more headaches. Shit, he'd have to go have a little... talk, with Kenta for putting Amara in the position of being royally fucked by association. Yep, forest leveling in the future. He reached out and grabbed both the girls; yanking them close and placing himself in front of them for protection just in case. Hell, the dogs that remained where smart enough to do the same, flanking them and adding more shields to keep them safe if shit went south fast. "So... Kid, ya might wanna keep yer Dad 'n a leash next time, yeah. Fucker ken seriously harsh a good buzz when he wants ta." |

| Hiromasa smiled, amused. Declaring neutrality may have been fairly abrupt, but the way things were going it wasn't a moment too soon. Plenty of people thinking they were the next coming of Madara Uchiha, peerless and without weakness. All the better, at any rate. If hotheads who hated each other dominated the courts of the other nations, they would go to war soon enough and the Glacier would profit from it gleefully, selling medical supplies to all sides among other things.
If anything, he was quite surprised at how chaotic things seemed to be thus far. He'd come in feeling under formal and under prepared and it was a bunch of people just as new if not more so than he to the job and completely without the "professional" air he despised so much. Children running around, random relatives and who the hell knows who else just wandering through the summit, speaking their piece for no reason and meandering back out like cranky old grandparents. There seemed to be a marked lack of any real level of seriousness to this whole summit, and the Korikage was loving it. He was feeling more and more at ease with the situation and as his knowledge of his peers increased, though at the same time a part of his mind screamed to be ever more alert for the very same reason.
Outwardly at least, however, Hiromasa was making himself at home, sliding deep into his chair until his face was just above the table, stretching out his legs and reaching out with his senses, getting a feel for the chakra of everyone present. "Regardless of whatever bad blood the rest of you nations have with each other, I have none yet towards any of you and will offer my assistance wherever I can without it being too much work for me and mine." Looking at the Kuraikage, he shrugged. "I don't know the status of your village so much so understand that I mean no offense with this offer, but if you need medical aid for your young ,old and ill and setting up your basic medical infrastructure, my folks can help. More medical teams than we know what to do with sometimes, be good for them to get some exercise. A gesture of goodwill and the hope for prosperity from one developing nation to another." Lazily, he turned his eye to Strafe. "I would be more than willing to trade knowledge with the sand village if you could maintain a cool place for a small embassy. I will admit I do not know much about your lands other than that they are difficult for my people to tolerate, but the historical Sunagakure was well-known for their skill with poisons, something on the flip side of healing medical jutsu, so sharing expertise could be to mutual benefit if you maintain the same talents. We could, of course, also maintain a warm place for people of yours should you desire to send ambassadors as well."
He smiled as he paused. Most of his nervousness had abated, and he nodded at the two remaining kage. "I will admit that I know neither you nor your villages well enough to feel comfortable trusting my men in your hands just yet. I mean no slight by it, but every ninja of the glacier is precious to me, as I hope you feel for yours as well and understand, and I cannot in good conscience immediately make the same offer. I am, however, hopeful that we can become more familiar with each other over the course of this visit." He paused again, trying to think of anything else he had to say, but nothing immediately came to mind other than an unfamiliar scent. Some kind of flower, certainly, and whatever it was was quite pleasant. "On a less serious note, I look forward to getting to know this place better if it has more joyful things like whatever that scent is. I should like to plant some, if those are indeed flowers, back home." |

| "....." All playing had stopped. Aella had picked up on Kenta's words when he had begun to speak, and had been rather shocked to find out that they were directed towards Jr. She had listened in stony silence as he had gone off on the younger; knowing his words had likely just sparked something that would effect Aella either way later on. She might not have known politics that well, and she might have been just a child, but she was wise enough to realize what was about to happen - or what could happen.
While the adults likely saw nothing more than enemies, she saw family. Two parts of her family: those who lived in Makurra, and those who lived in Niwa. Both parts she equally cared for and loved. And now both parts were likely going to end up fighting - end up destroying each other. Aella stepped out from behind Raijin, and around the dogs, staring at each individual face in turn before looking to the door Kenta had stormed out of. On her face was hurt and upset, the preview of heartache she felt was soon to come. She was a child, and she wanted to be a child - she didn't want to deal with her family destroying each other because of some rage filled words.
"I have family in both Makurra and Niwa... If you're going to start fighting and killing each other like I'm smart enough to realize you have the power to do, then I'm not going to be here to watch. It'd be better not knowing, than to have to watch it happen... ", she fell silent when she finished speaking, unable to say anymore. She reached next to her, snatching up Gemma's hand. "Come on, Gemma... We're leaving.", she said softly, leading her friend towards the door. For being a child... she had just spoken like an adult. Frost, her mother's ninken, rose up and followed afterwards, standing between the remaining people in the room and the children - acting like a great barrier should anyone even dare to try and attack them.
-----
Amara couldn't pretend that she hadn't expected something like this to be said eventually: she had just been hoping that perhaps it wouldn't happen with the children present. Neither Aella nor Gemma needed put in the position of knowing the adults were about to start slaughtering each other - especially given that both sides held Aella's family. She was rather glad that the words hadn't come from her own father, especially because she had been sort of expecting some sort of rage response directed towards the Kuraikage over Amara's kidnapping several years back: she found herself momentarily wondering what sort of mess this exactly was going to cause for everyone - and who was going to start choosing sides first if it did just cause a war to erupt.
Then her attention was shifted towards Aella, she listened to the child speak after stepping out from behind Raijin, and then watched as she led Gemma out of the room. Amara had a distinct feeling that Aella was going to end up staying with them in Kumo for a while if fighting broke out: or now, actually, since she was pretty sure that Aella was going off to pack so she could do exactly what she had just said she was going to. Not that she minded at all of course: the girls got along just fine, and they'd be safe enough in Kumo.
And then, to add more chaos into the already chaotic pool the Korikage spoke up: and from the sound of his words Amara felt like he was suddenly trying to seize the opportunity to make a profit before any war actually started - offering medical things and the like. Amara could only shake her head, wondering if that had been the main purpose of him coming here to begin with. The nerve of some people really caused her to think illy about the world: or about Kori at least. Yeap... the Korikage had just become someone Amara didn't like: likely the fastest to happen on record since she was a little girl back at the orphanage.
She could feel her inner dragon beginning to react due to all of the tension; including her own over her disgust at Hiromasa's piss poor timing on things, but knowing there was at least one water user, or 'fish' as she had called them from a young age in the room, she kept her passive shock to a minimum: mild static to put it plainly.
"Aella is more than welcome to stay with us if this is about to get hairy; you know we'll keep her safe.", she telepathically sent to Hiroyuki, after offering a mental poke of the incoming message - the last thing she had wanted was to end up Genjutsu'd because she startled him. She didn't use the telepathy granted to her by her sealed dragon often - but in situations like this when there were too many unknown pieces to the chaotic puzzle around, she wasn't about to risk not using it.
---
Aella glanced backwards as she heard Hiromasa speak; taking in his words. Out of all of this, out of all of the issues that were suddenly erupting, it sounded like this man, who was supposed to be leader of a village, was attempting to make a profit off of her family fighting. Her face screwed up in a look of rage, and she felt the panda bijuu within her waking up. "You... are... a disgusting person, for trying to take advantage of people like that. I really don't see why Mitsukai allowed you to have the hat when she left." Her temper continued to spike... until she felt Gemma squeeze her hand gently and whisper "Careful Aella, he might attack us..." and she calmed enough to finish walking out of the door with Gemma behind her, and Frost behind her. |

| Pale... pale was a good word. It was weak and pathetic for describing his current continence, but it would have to do. He wasn't quite transparent yet, so ghostly wouldn't work. Shocked, angry, and confused. Those where applicable. The fucking hell was his father thinking? Calling out Makkura in from of everyone? Then saying he didn't want to start a war? Was he high? That had to be it. He'd taken one too many pain pills right before he came in, and wasn't in his right mind. That had to be it.
Of fucking course it wasn't; but the younger had to have something to distract himself from the sheer rage he was feeling from within himself, his father, and a few other people. Lovely. This was gunna make him pissy and take away the edge he needed to keep this place from exploding. The mental poke from Amara only helped for an instant; the moment he opened his mind enough to hear her, he was hit with her emotions as well. Great. "Rather her with you then here, right now."The children walking off didn't help any; that just took away the last bargaining chip they had to keep everyone calm. This... was looking like all the bad idea he'd thought it was going to be. "Aki. Go with the girls. Make sure they're not stopped by anyone."
Just... get everyone that didn't need to be there gone. The dogs were too big to fight in here; far to big. They'd be useless in this crowded room. He couldn't lean back anymore; but that didn't matter; it was more comfortable to lean forward, elbows on the table and face in his hands. A grunt of "fuck my life" was released, followed by a short pause before he sat back up and ran hands through his hair. "Oh Father, what am I going to do with you..." Green eyes scanned the room, taking in visual references to match the mental and emotional cues he was taking in. Tense... anger... shit, rage. Downright? Yep. Confusion and... oh that fucker. He could TASTE the sleaze off the Korikage after that little rant. This fucker... this guy was blatantly double deal? Oh yeah. Definitely one to watch; even if Hiroyuki managed to avoid outright war; this guy would do anything to make sure it happened so long as it didn't effect him. Disgusting.
"So... that happened. I had expected him to show a touch more tact then that; but then again, I'm the type to see no evil in my own father. Sadly, that was actually the best possible option there; he didn't lock the room in a glacier, which is saying something. I can't even deny I agree with some of his words; but not in any way the anger or intent to provoke. As much as I hate what Makkura has done; I can't deny that a blood feud between family is not in anyone's best interest. Much as it pains me; that's all a war between the villages would be; a family blood feud. Over nothing more then easily angered old men having pissing contests. Makkura fucked up. Niwaurushi is no saint. We've done our fair share of fucking around. We could have done more to help Makkura before; but then the shit with kidnapping my people happened and we collectively agreed to tell them to fuck off. Angry children playing at being leaders; no fucking wonder the Elders have a field day electing kids to the position. They're the only one's profiting off this; while good people die over bruised egos. I don't want war. I've never had to fight a battle in my life; I never had to go through what my father and grandfathers and ancestors back through the time of the First Sage of the Six Paths had to. We've been spoiled by 'peace'; a fake peace born of the desperation to survive keeping the world from doing anything but. And now that things stabilize; we finally have a chance to make a real change; end the cycles of war and pain. What do we do? Fucking pissing contests. Offering to deal to both sides of a war that hasn't even started. Children growing up in an instant and being wiser then the adults that should be protecting them. All for what? What the fucking hell is the point of it? Pride? Ego? Evening some imagined score? Making more fucking ryo? By all the Gods humanity has ever worshiped; are we just animals still? Only looking out for the next way to get ahead? We have stable, thriving lands for the first time in centuries; and half of us are racing toward war. Yanno what? I'm out. If people wanna call war right now? People wanna sleaze out and fuck over the people they're claiming to help? Have fun. Until the first attack on my soil happens? I'll be making sure my people are taken care off, and that the allies I can trust are able to defend themselves. If you can't handle that; tough. If you're grown up enough to talk economics and not play war general? Please; by all means stay. Otherwise? Get out of my village. I'm not here to play house with warmongers." |

| Strafe sat calmly as flairs started to erupt. Junior's response was as to be expected. He didn't really seem to desire war, but was not afraid of it. It could have been taken as a threat, but Strafe was much to relaxed to care. In the end, he would not declare war on Makkura for his father's past actions. If he was going to do that, he would have done it directly after their battle. "I do not wish for war, as I have already stated. I know the power of your village and I have a feeling that you know my villages power. There is no need for mindless bloodshed, Kuraikage. However, I have a question for one of your guards." He said looking to Kinzoku. "You were a ninja of Yokuchigakure when I left. It's my duty to know all of our ninja. Why did you leave? Once more, why would you come as a guard for the Kuraikage knowing I'd be here? Is it a challenge? Traditionally, I would send Anbu to retrieve or eliminate you, but with the current state of affairs, I will not. I hope you enjoy your stay in Makkura. But be warned, do not return to Yokuchi, as I will be forced to attack you. This is not meant as a threat, but as to give you an understanding of what I have to do as Kage." He finished speaking with a nod towards the both of them. He then turned his attention to the Korikage. This man was peculiar to say the least.
"For you to speak up and offer assistance to both Yokuchi and Makkura when we are deciding on whether or not we go to war, makes we wonder about your intentions. I don't care for people who openly deal with secret motivations. Whether it be for greed or to see your adversaries loose power. I don't really have any need to share the secrets if our poisons, and do not wish to create more than just casual trading. I hope you understand." He said with a smile. He would watch this man in the future, as he didn't know what he planned. Of course, the father of the Hakage had spoke out and called out Makkura. This was understandable, considering the events that took place. However, he didn't have anything to add and simply watched as he left the room followed by the children. Finally, Hiroyuki spoke up after a few moments, showing even more of the temper that was famous among the Inuzuka. Waiting for him to finish, Strafe spoke to him in a kind manner. "I am not going anywhere, as I have no intentions of war, just simple understanding. I am open to meet with you after this is done and discuss the trade agreements we have. I'm glad to see that someone is so passionate about the well being of their village." Strafe spoke earnestly as he looked at the man.
At this point, Strafe needed to find out more about the people in his village and where their loyalties lie before doing anything as stupid as declaring war. He didn't want to go into such a war without full understanding of what they were up against and what Yokuchi was capable of. He would just sit quietly and continue to watch the events unfold around him. |

Who the fuck did this dog man think he was talking to?
This is what Jr expected; what he was waiting for. He knew it was only a matter of time. Someone with hard feelings. Someone to go off on him because of what his father started. The more the man spoke, the further heated Jr became... literally. With every statement the man barked out, the bird aura became fully visible; his young face bending and contorting into a look of utter rage. Evidently, this dog man knew nothing of the Kane family.
Jr responded to everything Kenta said as he said it, keeping his voice down, but he spoke with an otherworldly tone that practically dripped of anger. He kept his gaze to the floor, not out of fear, but to prevent himself from flying over the table and introducing the dog man to Explosion Release.
First, he said the only reason Makkura existed was because that other village Hanagakure, where his father's path to villainy began, imploded. ”My father bombed that village like 5 times... Killed shitloads of people... Murdered the guy who used to run the place, gouged out his eyes... Basically gave the finger to the tea chick Natalie or whatever her name was who took over after him, and dared her to stop him... She didn't. As a further fuck you, he kidnapped a girl close to Natalie... She didn't investigate, retaliate, anything... And you try to make Hana sound like it was EVER any sort of threat?...”
He also said it was because he didn't let some lightning person come raise hell. ”I don't recall any lightning fucker coming to investigate or retaliate either, after Amara got nabbed, leash or no leash... He was free to do so... He is STILL free to do so... You speak as if we're supposed to be scared of this person, but fear isn't in a Kane's vocabulary... Not to mention the fact that my father grabbed her after she wiped out a whole village by just looking at her, so take a second to think about that...”
He said he didn't care how strong Makkura was, or what they did, and that Amara rebuilt Kumo in half the time it took the Kanes to get Makkura back in order. ”If you didn't care, you wouldn't have even brought it up... Amara rebuilt that Kumo place faster than we did Makkura?... Whooptie-fucking-do... Would you like a trophy? I would seriously think that dick measuring would be beneath some all powerful dog man...”
He said something about his people and 200 years of history, said that the Kanes weren't anything new or special. He said Jr was privileged, and sitting at the grown folks table, and how he'd rather not send people to early graves, and all of this talk was just talk. He said not to expect a medal or a pass for what they'd accomplished, and they should have thought of being considered special before his father went and got into it with Strafe, or kidnapped Aella and Amara. He then said Makkura had 2 strikes, and should they get a third that it would basically be no problem to attack from 3 sides and destroy the village.
By this point, the bird aura of Hi No Seishin was fully visible and illuminating the meeting room in orange. Heat was being given off by the child, heat that flooded the meeting room and raised the temperature dramatically. The air could be seen shimmering and moving sort of like water, mostly in the area surrounding Jr. The chair Jr was sitting in and the area surrounding him began to smoke, creating a smell of burning wood reminiscent of a fire place.
Kenta the dog man said he'd love to come and fuck with Makkura but didn't have plans to. He then bragged about being a war hardened 'Golden General.' Anything beyond this statement, Jr did not hear, for he'd heard enough, and had all he could take. The orange aura began to turn black; trademark Fushichou Rage Fire. The signal that he was truly pissed.
”I come here on a peaceful note trying to repair the damage my father caused, and attempt to create ties with you people and I basically get it spit back into my fucking face? Maybe I SHOULD have let my father come instead of me, because instead of sitting on his ass bragging about what he'd do like you are, my dad actually has the balls to pull it off.
“Everybody looks at us as the villains and the bad guys. We might as well go back to acting like them. You think things were bad before, Mr golden dog man? Well, they're about to get a whole helluva lot fucking worse. The Kane family was BORN in war. BORN on the battlefield. ALL WE KNOW is to fight! To KILL! My little sister slaughtered a whole crew of trained grown men when she was only 4 years old!
“So all of this shit you're spewing at me means absolutely nothing. Makkura has 2 strikes? You think you got what it takes to come raze what we built to the ground? To take on the Kane family? Don't talk about it, be about it. BRING IT ON.”
The chair he was sitting in was now on fire. Jr stood and shoved it across the room. Signaling for Kinzoku and Hanako to follow him, he snatched up his hat, turned and started for the exit before Kenta or Aella, leaving behind burning smoking footprints, while the chilly man Hiromasa tried offering medical aid to Makkura; not needed because of his sister Destiny. Whatever was said after this point would just reach deaf ears. He'd showed enough of his bad side to the niece that he'd never met, and it was for her sake that Jr decided to leave when he did.

| Well now, this went from bad to worse. Everything that was said and discussed up until the point that the man that came in near to last with the dog was expected. Kinzoku himself didn't know the full details of what happened with Alec in the past years, but the scare details, rumors and stories he'd been able to pick up on now had a ring of truth to them with everything Jr said back to the “Dog Man” as Jr called him. Alec had been a raging tornado, raising havoc in villages and kidnapping people. It was evident that there were still hard feelings behind his actions. Kenta's words weren't setting in too good with Jr, and when his anger began to get the best of him, even Kinzoku had to step back some because of the heat.
And in the end, it looked as if Makkura would remain the village of villains. Kinzoku personally was fine with that. Jr basically told Kenta to bring it on before standing and storming out of the room, pushing a flaming chair out of his way. Kinzoku slowly began backing toward the door, not moving as fast as Jr was. Kenta was saying something else along the lines of “Don't let my opinions; good or bad; sour you to my son or the people he has to protect now. I'm just a tired old war dog with a bad habit of speaking my mind," while the last man to come in said "So... Kid, ya might wanna keep yer Dad 'n a leash next time, yeah. Fucker ken seriously harsh a good buzz when he wants ta," but it appeared that Jr didn't hear either of them, nor did Kenta hear when Jr said that Makkura was ready to play along with everyone else. Hiromasa began to say something about medical assistance, the child Aella let her disgust for Hiromasa be known, and Strafe started to say something as well, about how he didn't wish for war. Kinzoku would be sure to inform Jr of everything he missed.
Then Strafe spoke directly to Kinzoku himself. He asked why Kinzoku left, and why he would show up here knowing he'd be here. He said that normally someone would be after him but he'd refrain as long as he kept out of Yokuchi. ”...A squad was sent out into the wastes 15 years ago... They discovered a plot to over-throw the government of Yokuchigakure. When they attempted to stop it themselevs, all of them were killed except for the Kunoichi, a member of the Jishaku Clan, who escaped the captivity of bandits after 3 years... If you want the rest of the story? Ask your elders, look at your logs, or go ask any of the villagers...(Or read Kinzoku's Character App.) Then you'll know why I left... You don't have to worry about me returning to the desert, ever... for the next time you and I meet... it will be upon the field of battle.”
With this said, Kinzoku turned to leave and catch up to Jr.

| A smirk crossed Hanako's face as the various leaders tried to dog out Makkura. Did these guys really think they stood a chance? Her eyes looked to Junior, whose actions were a clear sign that he was not pleased. The heat that radiated off of him reminded her of her Scorch Release. It seemed that whoever thought they could defeat Makkura would be burned to an ash in a second. After Junior retorted with immense anger, her got up, leaving burn marks on the floor as he left the room. He signaled Kinzoku and her to follow and thus she did. She hear Kinzoku speak to the Kouyakage about his past, which meant even more incentive for Yokuchi and Makkura to go to war. Yet, the Kage of Yokuchi didn't seem to even consider it an option. She didn't know about Alec's past and didn't care. She would be loyal to him regardless. She left the room without acknowledging the group of people. They would either be dead or she would not see them again.

| Oh, suddenly he wasn't protecting anything. Right then. Good times; this summit was turning into. Not even past the introductions and people where already lighting on fire and raging. He was... unhappy as fuck over the kids being brought into this; but meh. He'd fix that on the battle field if he had to. Oh well; time to stop sitting on the floor like a mook and do something. Rising to his feet, he wandered over to the smoking remains of the chair and used Brotherhood to flip it out of the window, while stomping on the flaming bits with his bare feet because fuck shoes. "Mmk. So, Doggy Bitch started a war. Good job, dumbass. Doggy Son gunna do somethin' about this; or we lettin' them continue to shit on us? Yanno, since ya let 'um do it tha' first two times. And by the way; anyone else notice tha' guy was reaaaaally outta touch with tha' rest a' the world. What'd he say...'The Kane family was BORN in war.'? Seriously, anyone else get tha' vibe tha' this guy has no idea tha' brin' born durin' wartime ain't nothin'? Shit, my clan's a bunch a' monks, an' we're 'bout as battle tested as they come. No wonder Dog Bitch was pissed off, eh. Anyway, I got no part 'n this unless, like Son Dog there said, someone fucks with my people. Otherwise, my only job is protectin' my daughter and granddaughter, yeah." |

| Amusement twinkled in his eye and a grin spread across his face as the Korikage pulled himself into an upright position, folding his hands and resting his chin on them. "So this is the world my people have returned to after being locked away so long. Anger, paranoia, arrogance. I offer help to the weak and am ignored, I offer trade and am met with suspicion. I declare that I do not have any intention of throwing away the lives of my people for causes and nations I know very little of, and this is wrong somehow?"
His smile faded, and he looked at Strafe. "I do not have adversaries, and there is little subtle about me. I take great pains to explain my reasoning as I have done with all of my decisions and announcements thus far. I offered help to Makkura because he mentioned having sick and elderly to take care of,and from what I've gathered theirs is a nation rising from the rubble of another. As I said before, I've no idea as to the state of their medical system, and was willing to help set one up so that his people would suffer less. Regardless of anyone's feelings for the Kanes, I see more than that to the country. If aiding the weak regardless of the actions of their leaders makes me shady, then call me shady. I've spent the better part of my life as a humble healer, and I know the suffering that many do not or will not see."
With a sigh, he looked at no one in particular. "Go to war, do not. It does not matter to me. If you can look the men and women who serve you in the eye and tell them that their life and the suffering the loss of it will cause is worth whatever cause you pursue in war, by all means. If I can sell you, or your enemies, the means to keep a few more parents alive to come home to their families while also improving the lives of my people, I will do so. If I can sell a poison so terrifying that you recoil in fear of the word 'war' in the philosophy of Nagato, I will gladly do so. I do not know your views on life in the nations where nature is your ally, providing easily the means to thrive, but where I come from, life is harsh. We battle nature, predators, and bandits just to stay alive, and every life is precious to us. Go to war if you must, throw away the hopes and dreams of your people, for what? I came here with open hands and you meet me with fists held in anger and distrust. He looked at the Hakage. "I don't know how much truth there is to your words, if they are how you feel we agree on many things. If you really desire peace and mutual benefit, I will listen. If you are too enthralled by rage, I can return another time. If you have no intention of dealing seriously with the Glacier, say the word and I will return home, no hard feelings. I came here with hopes of a new era of prosperity for my people and those of everyone here, but if that is not possible I will return home and find another way to earn my pay." |

| (Jumping post order with permission. Amara will post in my spot, everyone just continue as if we hadn't switched spots this round after that.)
Eh. He just couldn't be bothered to care about a hothead with... likely some kind of fire beast in him. Joy. Continued pledges of neutrality and willingness to ignore the idiocy of the forming blood feud between villages was something at least; however the more the ice kage spoke; the less he liked him. The man didn't even seem capable of realizing why half the room was angry with him; just calling them out for being angry and arrogant. One to talk, that man. While he may or may not have had pure intentions, he had shitastic timing for offering things to anyone, and an outsider looking in would likely call that the point when war was going to happen; by pure effect of pissing off enough people to color Hiroyuki's brain into anger.
Raijin speaking up almost had the Hakage Genjutsu'ing the room, until he realized that he was just making comments and not being as dickish as his father had been. "Dog... Son...? Gods, Raijin; you know my name. Use it. But... you are right. I should have done something before now. I just hoped to avoid it all; prayed I could push it off on whoever was going to replace me because this was NOT supposed to be a permanent placement. At this point... that's out the window; apparently."
Arms hit the table again, face going back to resting in his hands as the young Inuzuka worked on forcing everything out of his brain; his overloaded nose was bad enough. "So, you're going to ignore half of what's going on around you, because it comes from the mouth of a child?" That part pissed him off the worst; but for personal reasons. "I get you have no reason to listen to Aella, Korikage; but at least acknowledge her. You find us reprehensible? You've yet to prove yourself better then the rest of us. But in the end; it is not my job to judge you, or anyone; on a personal level. I will talk trade with you; but not for your medicines. We need other supplies, minerals and ores; things that once existed in great abundance in the north. If they still do, I would be willing to discuss how to get some. Otherwise; we have little else to discuss. Niwaurushi has no interest in invading Kori, you have my word as Kage, Inuzuka, and Kamizuki of that. Feel free to stay in the village for the festival if you like; you've been reserved a suite in one of the hotels; same as the rest. Do what you wish."
"Kouyakage, I would ask that we wait for tomorrow before we discuss anything. I need a few hours of calm and meditation to be able to focus on the boring details; and I need to speak with my young cousin. And my father. If this is acceptable, we can meet tomorrow afternoon; after I finish my morning paperwork."
"Amara, well; come see me whenever. We've got plenty outside of official work to discuss, and we can set up the time for official bull then." |

| .... Was this snowman daft? Hell, Aella had been loud enough for everyone in the room to hear her - and the child had simply voiced what likely the majority were thinking. Whether the Korikage had meant his words as a way to gain profit or not, his timing had been piss poor, and it had led to some hardcore assumptions and dislike directed towards him; and said dislike wasn't going to disappear anytime soon.
However, her mind was thrown off of this current thought by the firey kid raging out of the room with his guard following behind him after an impressive speech about how all of the Kane's had been born during war - including his sister who had enough skill to slaughter people by the age of four; and the added bit between Strafe and the man identified as Kinzoku. That in itself was also surprising: for someone to flee their village only to show up as another Kage's bodyguard? Interest, and ballsy. However, so long as that situation didn't affect her village or her family? It was none of her business, and she was going to keep her comments to herself. No point in adding more fuel to the fire after all - especially if she was going to be providing a safe place for Aella to stay should all of this crap indeed start up a full scale war.
Then she was listening to her father speak and nodding in agreement: she was not going to be the one to start the violence if violence were to come; she would defend her family, her people, her village if it came to it. But otherwise? She wasn't going to go start poking at open wounds. However, that by no means meant she was leaving - or that she wouldn't help if asked. She had absolutely no problem with Niwa, and was damned determined to keep things good between them. "You know me... I'm not going anywhere.", she grinned, a hint of stubbornness showing upon her face. She didn't let situations in her past, ones that Hiroyuki knew well about, to cause her to run and hide - she sure as hell wasn't about to start now.
She nodded to Hiroyuki's words to her. "Alright, sounds good. I think I need to go blow off a little steam myself... and see where my daughter and Aella have wandered off to. I have a feeling they're filling up on sugar and sweets in the market..." |

| Strafe watched in intrigue as the Kuraikage stormed out of the room, leaving fire where he stepped. Kinzoku seemed mysterious, which was fine. He wasn't looking for a history lesson. He simply wanted to know why the man left. Regardless, he ended his statement with a subtle threat and left. The other bodyguard simply left. Strafe sighed as this was going farther and farther downhill. He doubted that anything could save this Summit for at least two of the Kages. Niwa and Kumo were still possible trade candidates though, so he would remain as long as needed. His attention then turned to the Korikage. He started to backtrack and go on about how he knows the pain and suffering of people. It seemed like a bunch of fluff to Strafe. He waited for the man to end his speech, contemplating what his respond would be. "I don't think being here is going to get you anywhere at this point. You might as well leave."
Insulted by Strafe's statement, Hiromasa looked at him in anger and walked out as well. It seemed that there was only three people left. His attention turned to Hiroyuki, who spoke directly to him. "Tomorrow is fine. Let me know a time and place and I will be there to discuss it. I think a bit of time to cool off would be best for all of us." He spoke kindly as he nodded in thanks for the Hakage's understanding. It seemed that the Raikage had a similar idea as well, hoping to meet with the Hakage as well. Strafe then turned to Amara, politely addressing her. "I would love to be able to speak with you as well. We have had no problems in the past and our villages have a history of alliances and helping one another. If there is anything I can do, don't hesitate to ask. I think we have a few trading matters that need to be attended too as well." He said with a slight smile.
He would wait for the responses of both of them before looking back at Hisoka and Emiko to make sure there were okay. He hadn't really had time check on them, and the amount of stressful conversation that had went on in the room was probably weighing heavy on them. Hisoka didn't seem like the type to like this setting, so he was concerned most for him. "You two okay? My apologies if we have stressed you out." He said with a chuckle as he rubbed the back of his head. |

| Attention focused on the Kouyakage for the moment; thanking the gods that he was so level headed. It would be good to meet one on one, easier to explain away his horrible performance today, and get a better idea of how well, if at all, they would get along. "I'll have a messenger sent as soon as I can set in a time. The latest they will arrive will be in the morning; if something comes up. Otherwise, please enjoy the village; there is plenty to do and see, and as I've said before, we've made arrangements for all the Kages and their attendants to be well taken care of."
He knew Amara would be staying in their old apartment; given Raijin had bought the place years back, it was always there and waiting for them. Better then some hotel; no matter what some might say. "Amara, we should find the girls. I doubt Dad actually went to find them; something tells me I'm going to find him sitting in a dark corner trying not to hack a lung up. Yuki's with him, so he'll be fine; but you never know what'll happen with all the insanity going around. Not that they need much protection... but we don't want to risk... repeats." Leave it vague, since they didn't know how much they could trust the Kouyakage. Just... cross that bridge if and only if they had to. "Well, we might as well call this meeting adjourned, then. Thank you, for coming, both of you. At least something good might come out of this clusterfuck." |
