Right, this was just weird. He wasn't much for thinking he'd ever come to Makkura in peace; the way the last set of people in charge had messed up, it was a wonder they hadn't been invaded; but with so much of his family here, he wasn't about to advise war. No, this was him doing what was normally his son's job; playing nice and being an ambassador; since Hiroyuki was stuck with the hat. Good times, that hat. He'd come via an airship, the village was still iffy on having warp tiles; which wasn't an issue. he would have flown himself, but that was chakra he didn't want to waste. Long flights did a number on his body now, sadly. Making his way to what counted as the admin building; at least temporarily, he was told; he walked inside and tried to find some kind of check in desk or something. Disorganized still, it would seem; but getting better. It only took a few minutes to find someone, and they where helpful enough; a point toward the office of the new Kage was all he needed anyway.

Down the hall around a corner, and to a set of door with a sign that read 'Office of the Kage', and he was knocking at the closed door. No point being a dick right away, right? Although he could have just kicked in the door and strutted like a jackass; lord knows most people outside Niwaurushi thought he was that cocky. Che, idiots. All a show for the twitchy finger idiots he'd used to work with. And it did help to have a reputation as fearless. Now to wait and see if he was wasting his time or not.

A light breeze pushed itself through the cream colored sheets that protected the Kage's office from any outside interference. Even the most insignificant objects can serve a purpose... The young Kuraikage slipped out of consciousness and began to engage in deep thought over this trivial manner. He looked towards the shielded windows, looking aimlessly in the direction of his village's outskirts.

After a few minutes of pondering, Saito heard a light knock against the brown, brazed door that sealed his office. No doubt, it's my treasured visitor, he thought. He stood up behind the tall desk and quickly fixed the papers on his desk. Saito promptly headed over to the door and flung it open in an exaggerated manner.

"So you've finally arrived!" The always jubilant Kage had a smile on his face, placing an outstretched hand in Kenta's direction.

"...." Right. That... wow. Exuberance, not what he expected. That was unsettling; everything about the man in front of him screamed that it was real emotion; but his mind was screaming it was a trap of some sort. no matter, he'd figure the other out as they spoke and such. It was almost tempted to not take the offered hand; if only for his health; but he did have some semblance of manners, and took it with some reluctance. A firm shake, finger angled as such to not tear into skin instantly with his long claws, and he was pulling away; the less contact the better. "Yes, right. It's... a long trip over the mountains, flying or otherwise. You'll have to forgive my slightly late arrival. The pilots still seem to panic at the sight of rain; and i don't much blame them. If not for my affinity for water, I would as well; but given I've fought the rain and won many times... i can handle it without much panic." It wasn't a brag, merely information; given at a fairly neutral tone, although his voice was always slightly growled due to his heritage.

"The summons was rather vague, perhaps we should discuss exactly why the new Kuraikage wishes to speak with a Hakage. If it is to discuss the events that happened prior to your tenure, I would advise... treading lightly. Touchy subject. If possible we should leave the door open as well; I know that is an odd request, given privacy is normally wanted, but my ninken has wandered off, and she will looking for me. Better to make it easy for her to find me then risk the lives of your people unnecessarily."

Saito looked the Hakage up and down multiple times. After a few seconds, he aimed his hand toward a nearby seat. "Take a seat, please!" Kenta was somewhat.... Weaker looking than Saito had originally anticipated. The man just emitted weakness, though respect at the same time. He listened intently as the older man spoke in a hushed tone. The Kuraikage nodded his head respectfully, making a serene effort to show acknowledgement of the man's words.

"It's nice to meet you, sir. Despite our villages'..... Misunderstandings in the past, I'll have you know that I don't plan on leaving things as they are. I am a man of happiness. That's all I want. Alas, that isn't what I have called you here for. As a new member of the five Kage, I figured it'd be considerate to showcase my abilities in combat. I want the respect of my colleagues, for the better, of course."

Saito removed his Kage hat and robe, carefully placing them on his desk. "Not far from here, there is an open field. It's the perfect place for this engagement!" As he always did, Saito smiled proudly. "You may not be aware of my abilities, but you're nothing short of a legend. I'm well aware of your abilities. Regardless, meet me there when you are ready."

The Kuraikage quickly left his office, heading with glee to the field he had described to the Kage.

...Ooookay. This guys was definitely strange. Kenta was no pragmatist, but he was a realist. He'd seen too much of the world to walk around farting sunshine and singing rainbows; or whatever the phrase was. This was either going to drive him insane, or just tire him out faster; and he wasn't sure which he wanted to happen more. But the idea of a spar did appeal to him; it had been a while since he'd gotten a half decent work out; and while this new Kage appeared younger then he was, he had to have some serious skill to get this high up the ladder, even in a village as broken as Makkura. "Right, fine by me."

Easy enough to follow the male, even in a shadowed village the purple of the robes stuck out easily; and his scent wasn't being masked by anything. Once outside of the building he found Yuki waiting for him, a soft whistle calling her to his side. She wouldn't be fighting with him likely; her lack of Inuzuka skills made her usefulness in battle negligible when fighting another Kage, so he was going to have her sit it out. "This field, does it have a standing water source? Not much of an issue, but I ask out of convenience for both of us. And I don't much see anyone happy with me ripping apart a field mid-fight because I feel like it."

The empty field was rather barren, save for the nearby river. There were a couple of trees nearby, but nothing to make extreme note of.

The Kuraikage looked around, waiting patiently for Kenta to arrive. He was practically shivering with excitement. "Wow... A chance to fight one of the most legendary shinobi to ever live... Saito practically had to catch himself in the midst of his childhood-like excitement. After all, it wasn't everyday one got the chance to fight this man. Saito wouldn't plan on holding back -- This was his only chance to place a good first impression in the forefront of the man's brain.

Soon enough, he saw Kenta arrive at the field. "Let's begin promptly -- I fear I may get too excited to even fight properly should we postpone it any longer. You may make the first move, Hakage." He did a half bow and jumped back a few steps, engaging in a fighting position. Once again, a smile plastered itself on the Kuraikage's face. He was practically filled to the brim with excitement and anxiety. This was one of the most important days of his life. It was important that he made an impression on the Hakage.

It was like dealing with a star-struck child, almost. This was definately strange; but he'd dealt with stranger. He wasn't even sure he wanted to actually do this spar; but he'd play along for a bit. At least humor the other male; if nothing else. He could easily feign illness for stopping early if need be. For now however, he merely shifted his form; dropping low to the ground with arms held up near his face and claws extended far more then they should be able to. His hair was spiking more, eyes glowing softly and taking on a more feral appearance. This was the signature of his people, the Four Legs Technique. He ninken might not be able to use it, but he sure could; and the speed boost was a welcome safety measure for him.

While normally used to launch forward; he wasn't about to attack head on; that was just asking for trouble. Instead, he began the normal movements to launch into Piercing Fang, however instead of finishing by dashing forward; he contorted his body and launched himself upward in full spin; a tornado of claws and pain moving high into the sky at blurring speeds. He was a master of speed to begin with, and with the addition of his Four Legs Technique, few beings on the planet could hope to keep up. He reached the highest point of his upward journey, a good 20 meters in the air, and began to arc downward and in a clockwise fashion; he was about to circle the field and begin working up for whatever counters and such he would need. With his speed and control he was able to easily establish a circular around around the field of roughly 40 meters in diameter; never moving in the exact same line each time he crossed himself on the field. Defensive and testing, if anything; even in this mode he had jutsu he could fire inward, and with the water nearby he could pick up some protection outside of his Fuuton chakra if needed. Let's see what this new Kage could do.

Saito opted to keep a keen eye on the retired Kage's body movements. Though he was young, he had studied the old man's techniques. He was familiar with this one -- it was practically a trademark of his at this point. This technique of his was supposedly uncounterable due to the intense speed and power he possessed. Luckily for the Kuraikage, he had the perfect skillset to match the Hakage's battle plan. He would need to be patient and wait for the man to make the mistake of entering his "zone". Patience wasn't one of Saito's strong suits, but he knew what was at stake in this battle. It was more than a meager spar.

The Kuraikage brought his two hands down to his stomach and made a circle. Patiently, he readied his signature technique. He had to wait for Kenta to get in range of the "Room" before it was ready to be cast. Almost... almost... While he waited, Saito made it a point to pay close attention with his eyes, ears, and the rest of his senses. Kenta was incredibly fast -- almost to the point of being a blur.

Saito didn't move from his position. He stood his ground and waited for the Hakage to make the first move.

Uh-huh. Not moving at all; obviously waiting on him to move in. This guy was either not very smart; or bloody genius: it would be too easy to take the obvious of flying in, but that demeanor of his could possibly confuse enough to let a guard down, or give the impression that it was safe to take risks. Hmmm... Oh, wait; he had clones. He had a A LOT of clones. The idea wasn't new, but it was effective.a Good way to hide, overwhelm, and confuse at the same time. He didn't even have to hit the male, just surprise him properly. He was still moving around the field, but coming up on the water source near the far end. Angling off, he dove into the water at full speed, submerging himself entirely before triggering the jutsu. Tajū Suiton Bushin no Jutsu, otherwise known as Multi-Water Clone Jutsu; one of his favorites. The clones where usually useless as anything but a distraction; and that was all he needed. 10 in total where created, each breaking off his body already moving in the full Tsuuga speeds; flying out of the water at random intervals and taking up a similar pattern of moving around the field. It was like a Garuuga on steroids; 11 vortexs of pure destructive might covered in a veil of water that flared out like razor sharp fins racing around the around. However, only the original was any real danger, the rest were decoys. In Kenta's case, he was wrapped in the power of a Great Water Drill; the rest where just optical illusions. They where fairly tightly bunched; but that was due to the restrictive nature of the Water Clones; however wasting the chakra for Shadow Clones, even for the better range; wasn't worth it for this fight.

It was impossible to tell which was Kenta and which was a clone; in all manner and form; the Tsuuga vortex his the imperfect forms of the clones, and the water trails where identical sans for the way the water fell due to the wind. Might as well get this over with before the clones exploded on him.

Simple enough; the male would expect an attack from the rear or sides; now it was safe to attack from the front. Head on charge; clones rotating around a central figure; which was Kenta and which was the clones was still impossible to tell. The vortex of death was aimed directly for the Kuraikage, at least for the initial blitz. They got within 20 meters and several of the Tsuuga broke away to come at the man from the sides; 4 in total to cover all directions, with the remaining 6 in front. The clones wouldn't do much damage if they hit; even all 10 exploding in his face would do barely C-rank damage, a few cuts and bruises, maybe a light burn if not for the water everywhere. Kenta himself had no plans to do more then graze the other male; his impact would have removed limbs, if not worse; unless the male dodged in the worst possible way and into his path, he would leave a nice trench in the ground as a show of power and retreat to a nice distance away.

Let's see what this Kage can do.

The Kage observed as Kenta swirled around, surrounded by water clones. As soon as he saw the Kage go on the offensive, he did his best to try to dodge the incoming attack. In an instant, the Hakage had appeared in front of him. I'm screw- he hadn't even been able to finish his thought before the clones exploded onto his body. Though the clones hardly did any damage, he saw now what he was truly dealing with. Kenta was a speed demon. This won't be easy... Debris rose up and covered the area in dirt from the explosions. Kaito would use this to his advantage. Room.... he thought to himself. Immediately, an invisible sphere spread to 25 meters in all directions. This was Saito's domain. Inside, he was God. In the face of this God, there was no mercy. A smile once again found itself on Saito's face. The Kuraikage would use the debris, and the Hakage's overall lack of knowledge about his abilities, against him. This was his chance.

As soon as the sphere expanded to hold Kenta within it, Saito pushed his finger against the ground. Should the technique prove successful, the Hakage would immediately feel as if the weight of a massive ship was placed on the man's back. The Kuraikage's smile grew wider as he weaved his techniques together. To win this battle, Saito would have to be quick in mind -- he wouldn't outspeed Kenta. It was impossible. Still, he could think just as fast as he could. Hopefully, things would shift toward the Kuraikage's side from this moment on. After all, his signature technique had been activated.

Alright, so that was done now. Given there where no screams of excruciating pain; his aim was still as sharp as even and he'd missed winging the other male. Good, good. Now to see what, if anything, this guy was goi-....

The fuck was going on? His knees hit the ground, followed by his hands; the surprise of the sudden weight was worse then the weight itself. Had he been expecting it; he would have shifted into the form he used when he trained with his weights; likely would have been able to stay upright; if not bent over like an old man. Hnnnn, that was knew. He hadn't seen anything; but he was facing the wrong way to do that. A quick experiment told him what he needed; he would be able to crawl but not much else. Legs would only lift a few centimeters, hands only about as far. It was good enough; and that was only because 4 Legs Tech was active.

"Interesting. I didn't realize I'd turned on my weights." His tone was dry, giving away nothing more then a lightly amused sarcasm. Typical for him; he didn't even sound stressed about the sudden change of... gravity? He was going to go with gravity for the moment, because he had absolutely fuck-nothing to work with outside of that. Rather effective ability, overall. With an almighty grunt; he pushed himself up to his knees long enough to shift his weight back and sit down; pulling knees up in front of him and resting his chin on his kneecaps. At least now his neck wasn't breaking; although his hair felt like it was being pulled out. Yay.

Oh, even better. From this angle he could see his ANBU tattoo on his right bicep; and it was starting to glow a gentle blue color. Hiroyuki; he was activating the reverse summon seal overlaid onto the old tattoo. Strange, why was he being recalled so quickly?

"Oi, pause a minute." He shifted his arm to show the glowing tattoo, "Reverse Summon seal under my ANBU tattoo. My son is trying to summon me home for some reason. Gimme 2 seconds." The neck of his vest had hidden the radio he always wore when not in the village; he was well outside of any of their telepathic ranges; so he needed some way of communicating. "Son, what's going on? Why am I being recalled?"

"Apologies, Father. A small emergency; the Kages are arriving early. We need you home. Can you bring the Kuraikage with you?"

"If he believes me. Otherwise, he can take an airship once the messenger arrives with the invitation."

"Fair enough. Just tap the seal when you are ready; I will see you soon."

"Of course, Son. Kenta, Out." A shift of his head had his neck cracking loudly, the pressure was starting to get annoying now; honestly. He'd need to have Aki and Blast spend a few hours walking on his back to fully reset everything; if not a few hours in a hot tub in the hospital. That... still sounded pretty good; and it would shut his doctors up about not taking care of himself.

"Much as I want to finish seeing your abilities; my son is recalling me. Hakage's prerogative, and all that. Half the point of sending me instead of someone else was to confirm the messenger hawk that apparently never arrived; there is a Summit between the Kage's called; and Niwaurushi is hosting. The other Kages have begun to arrive, so I must return. If you desire, you may come with me, this reverse summon will take anyone touching me with it. Otherwise; wait for the next airship and the late hawk; if you don't believe me. It is up to you."

A smile so bright had never placed itself on the Kage's face before. He had made the legend visibly suffer! This was a big moment for him -- he had proved he was worthy of his title -- at least in his own mind. Still, his smile quickly turned into a look of confusion. The Hakage was asking him to stop.... to take a call? What in the world? It must have been rather important for him to have to stop the spar. Nonetheless, Saito let up on his ability and let the man free.

After Kenta had finished his conversation, he said something about a Kage Summit. Truth be told, Saito was rather zoned out at the time. He went on to say something about trust and going with him. Whatever it is he said, the Kuraikage didn't really care. "Uhh... sure, I guess. Let's go." Saito walked up to the Hakage and placed his hand on the man's shoulder. He wasn't really prepared for a Summit, but it would be a perfect time to formally introduce himself. After all, he was a rather new addition to the Kage ranks.
