Alarms rang out throughout the tower signifying the locking down of the lab; the alarms were old, more bells than anything, and they filled almost every single hallway with their rattling noise. It wasn't a common occurrence, something that had happened only once before within the tower - and that had been when Dez had pressed the button to trigger it while exploring the lab within the first week of occupying the tower. Along with the alarms came the sound of steel shutters slamming closed over the various windows and doorways into the lab - leaving only the secret entrance, the one with the staircase that went the whole way up to the center of her father and Avery's room, open.

The reason for the alarm? Well, that would be the creature, creature being used lightly since creatures would be a more appropriate term, that was currently chasing Dez around the lab, almost keeping up with her speed in ways other creatures wouldn't be able to. At least, until she jumped up on one of the steel tables where it couldn't reach her given its size and inability to climb up the slick metal legs. The creature, which could best be described as having the ears of a rabbit, face of a fox, body of a bear, and paws of a tiger, began to chew rather fiercely at the table - though it did it no good given its lack of sharp teeth, the claws having been what Dez was concerned with; that and the thing just looked creepy.

She had found it in a cage in the back of her lab when the rattling had gotten too bad to ignore - the sounds the thing made were horrible in itself, much worse than the normal things that made noises in her lab. She didn't understand why someone would make such a creature, or even how, but she planned on finding out... as soon as helped arrived in one form of another - the thing was roughly the size of her, making it darn near impossible for her to subdue it herself, at least not without killing it.

"Oi, I am not food! Stop trying to friggin' eat me!"

Mossberg 500 Kick:

”WA-TAAH!!”

The bird-like cry erupted from the throat of Kane as he threw himself across the lab, planting a kick into that... thing's chest, sending it flying and sliding across the floor in a daze. The kick would have knocked the wind from it's lungs, leaving it stunned for a while (3 posts) to try catching it's breath back.

Alarms going off is what sent Kane investigating. The noise was loud and irritating within his advanced sense of hearing. He looked all over the tower, and was lead downstairs into the lab, were this... thing was chasing Dez around and up onto the steel table. Alec stood up from the Bruce Lee-like pose he took after kicking the thing across the lab, finding the control to the alarms and shutting them down.

”What the hell is that thing? Something else locked up back there in the back somewhere that we didn't know about?”

She watched as her father kicked the thing and sent it flying; it was going to be stunned for a short while, or so she guessed. Especially since the thing, whatever it was, wasn't getting back up again. "Nice kick..."

She jumped off of the steel table, glad she had had the headphones on that Holeman had given her - the only reason she wasn't in the fetal position clutching her head at the moment. She ran over to the alarm system and pulled the switch. The alarm gave half a wail that sounded more like a dying bird than an alarm at that point, and then went completely silent. Dez turned the volume up slowly on her headphones to allow her to hear better and looked over to her father.

"I have absolutely no idea what that thing is... I was in my office doing some research when I heard this rattling sound. Though it was Subject Z for a moment and ignored it. But, it wouldn't stop. I went to investigate, started to move some cages around, and I suppose this thing already had its door loose because out it pops. Came straight for me like some sort of hungry bear." She walked over to the fallen creature as she gave her explanation of the chain of events that had led up to the thing. "My alarms triggered from the cage being left open and well... you saw where I ended up when you got here." She reached down, grabbed the thing by its ears, and dragged it over to the steel table she had recently just used for safety.

She gave a heave and forced the thing up and onto the table. She made quick work of the straps that hung from the table, locking the thing tightly in place several times so that it couldn't escape when the stun effect wore off. She reached over to one of the many counters that her lab had and pulled out a fresh bag of syringes. She made quick work in opening the bag and pulling one out, before plunging it into the beast and taking out one of several blood samples; doing much the same thing with two more syringes until she had three full. "I definitely want to see what this thing is... it sort of looks like someone just mashed a whole bunch of things together and then threw it away when they were done with it..."

This tower still had secrets to be discovered, it seemed. Alec wondered how this thing, whatever it was, survived without someone feeding it. The thing looked like an experiment gone bad, thrown away and forgotten something like his Symbiote.

”...Think there's some sort of way to take advantage of this thing, whatever it is? Who knows, there might be some kind of secret power or ability to be gained from it... I mean, it looks like one of the rejects from whatever used to go on down here like 35 years ago, but who knows, right? Maybe it could still be useful...”

Alec helped Destiny fasten the thing to the table so that it couldn't escape once the stun from his kick wore off. He honestly had his doubts about harnessing anything useful from this abomination, and instead of outright killing it he almost wanted to take it out into the wilds somewhere to let it go. Dez went to work with her mad scientist routine, and Alec cleaned out both of his ears with his pinky fingers...

"I don't know... maybe there is. I don't see this creature being the result of any sort of cross breeding; not with the way it looks. It looks almost like someone cut different pieces off of different animals and sewed them on in the appropriate places. If it was bred this way then there'd be more flow to it, not this choppy mess. I'll know soon enough...", she said as she walked over to one of the many machines in her lab and inserted one of the three vials.

From there she pressed several buttons which caused the machine to beep gently and then make a soft grinding sound as it got to work. She went over to the next machine and did much the same thing; the third vial she then deposited into a special fridge for safe keeping - if the other two showed signs of anything useful, then the third would be used on one of the many lab mice she kept happy and healthy up on the walls - all of which were currently playing on random mouse toys, including a running wheel that squeaked quietly in the background.

By the time she finished with placing the syringe in an empty vial slot in the fridge the first machine was already beeping, while the second was just beginning to get to work. From the machine came a read-out which she snatched off as soon as it was done printing. She leaned against the counter and gave it a quick look over, eyebrows furrowing together in curiosity. "Interesting... very interesting...", she muttered as she walked over to the second machine without even bothering to pay attention to where she was going - wonders of Chakra Radar and all of that. She reached out just as it too beeped and snatched the printed paper as soon as it was finished. She placed the first behind it and began to read the print out from the second machine. Her brows furrowed further.

Finally, she looked up and over to her father and then to the creature. "I was right in assuming the creature isn't natural. There is something in him that allows him to almost absorb other creatures. I'm not sure how, though it might have something to do with him ingesting them by some means since the thing seems to dumb to have the intelligence to do it any other way."

Alec pulled up a chair to sit on while Dez went to work. He'd never actually spent a good amount of time down here, and was curious to see how his daughter did her thing down here. Alec was surprised that she'd managed to get all of this old stuff down here back into working condition in the first place. Her machines did their work, and she did hers trying to understand just exactly what this thing was.

So this thing was able to absorb other living creatures. It was probably the reason why it was able to survive down here so long; maybe it ate the rats and mice, and whatever other wild life existed down here in these dark, forgotten chambers. Alec made adjustments to his blindfold and thought about this a while.

”Absorb other creatures, huh... well, that doesn't sound like something we could put to use, could it? I mean, I personally don't want to absorb another person...”

He'd already found the Symbiote and an airship in this tower. He'd stolen things from people out in the world, like the knowledge to build dangerous weapons and 2 special eyes. The chance of finding another secret weapon or something of the like was beginning to look scarce. It was fine, Alec already had enough toys to play with, and was content with those.

Curious, Dez moved back over to the pack of fresh syringes she had opened and pulled a fourth one out. She grabbed a few cleaning packets and swabbed the area nice and clean in the crook of her arm. She one hand tied a little rubber strap around her arm and then pierced herself with the needle; taking a sample of her own blood. She had thought about using the blood she had taken from the creature and giving it to a rat to see what would happen, but perhaps this would work even better - and prove or disprove something she had been wondering.

"I was doing some interesting reading the other day of a journal I found down here. Some of it was faded, too hard to read, while other parts weren't. The basics of what I read though was some sort of weird genetics that made whoever had these to be able to absorb things from others: including powers. The work was never finished, likely because of whatever caused this place to be closed up for so long as it had. So, I'm wondering if this creature was perhaps an experiment from it.. if so we'll find out soon enough." With the vial filled with blood she walked into her office, grabbing the journal that she had been reading. She brought it over to her father and placed it down in front of him. "I have the page marked for where I was reading if you want to take a look at it."

She moved over to the animal and plunged the syringe deep into it just as the thing began to start to wake out of the stunned state. She paused a moment, waiting and watching. Just as she had expected, or hoped rather, the things eyes seemed to fade out; a trait of those who had gone blind. She covered the creatures head with a cloth, blocking out its eyesight. She then placed her hand near various parts of the creature without actually touching it - watching as it shifted as if to move away from her in each area her hand hovered over. "I... think... this is it. I think this thing just gained my Chakra Radar..."

Alec took the book Dez gave and looked it over. The book spoke of whoever it was that used to live in this tower attempting to harness a Kekki Genkai for themselves, a KKG unique to the Land of Shadows called Dark Release, a KKG that apparently many died for, along with a 'Chimera Technique' that allowed the user to absorb the KKG's of other people to be used for themselves. The user could only absorb 3 other KKG's along with Dark Release, but what Alec was seeing brought a grin to his lips.

”Hunh... a 'Chimera Technique' that lets people absorb powers from other people... and this Dark Release, which lets a person manipulate powers casted at them... Sounds like something one of us should definitely have... It seems like whoever made this thing already managed to absorb Dark Release, you think you could modify it so I could use it? If you have to operate on me or whatever, i'm prepared, especially since it's you. “

Yes. Dark Release in The Land of Shadows, in an organization he made called The Dark. It just made sense that Alec have an ability such as this, seeing as the thing on the table absorbed the Chakra Radar easily. He just hoped the process of having this Chimera installed into him didn't have him looking like the Frankenstien Monster, or some twisted lab experiment...

"Well, let me see... this could be a rather painless process if I can reverse whatever is in this things blood. I could separate it from the rest, and then transfer it to you: this way you wouldn't have to worry about any of this creepy ass thing's DNA entering into you." Yes, that was likely the best laid plan, and thankfully she had the equipment for such a job, and the smarts.

She moved over to the fridge, and opened it, pulling the vial out. She moved to a machine she hadn't touched yet, and pushed the vial containing the creatures blood into it: this machine would simply clean it, removing all but what she programmed into it for it to keep. She began to press multiple buttons, giving the machine very exact commands. "I'll do this because you asked, and I know you won't put it to any ill use... but after I'm done I think it best I destroy this creature and any remaining blood of it; throw it in the incinerator and ensure it's gone. I don't want to risk someone else coming along and somehow gaining access to this thing. The Tower might be tighter than a fort, but this isn't something I'm willing to take a chance with. It's that... or this thing gets teleported into that dimension... either way, so long as it's not where someone else can get to it."

The machine had been fast at work while she talked, and she figured it was the logical way to go about things. She had no problem at all with giving her father this ability; it would make him stronger after all. But, she wasn't willing to risk this sort of ability falling into the wrong hands, which could likely end up with it being used against them in the future. When the machine beeped to say it was finished she carefully removed the now sterilized syringe with the exceptionally sterilized and broken down blood: which contained exactly the ability that ran within it that would allow her father to absorb KKG's and nothing more.

"I need you to roll up your sleeve and place your arm on the arm of the chair, then just hold as still as possible.", she said as she walked back over to her father.

Alec's clothes were alive, so he didn't even have to reach over and physically roll up his right sleeve; it rolled up on it's own, responding directly to Dez's request. He opened and closed his hand several times while lying his arm upon the rest. Alec began to wonder with a grin if he was beginning to over-do it with all of the secret powers and abilities. He didn't really care what anyone else thought about it; he knew things could go sour at that summit. Someone there he fucked over 5 years ago may decide to take their anger out on Jr, and in which case there would be hell to pay. There was also the chance that one of those other villages decided to wage war. Alec was totally fine with that, but of course doubted any of them had the spine for such an endeavor.

Jr had a good head on his shoulders despite having a bad temper. He had Kinzoku and Hanako with him, and not to mention Hi No Seishin, so there wasn't really any reason to worry, but Jr was his son, and Alec was always paranoid when it came to his children's safety, even if Jr was stronger than he was now. There was the chance that something could always go wrong, especially if your last name happened to be Kane. So Alec always tried staying one step ahead. An ability like this would be exactly what he needed to combat foreign invaders wielding powers he'd never seen before. They wouldn't expect their attacks to be either redirected back at them, or to be absorbed for Alec's own use.

”Well... I know the thing tried to make a snack of you, but think about how long that thing musta been down here. 35 years in one of these cages would drive anyone or anything crazy. It escapes after all that time, tries to bite you, gets kicked in the chest, strapped to a table, shoved fulla needles, then killed and thrown in the furnace? I know we're supposed to be the 'bad guys' but that's a little cruel, even for us, even with this thing being an abomination, yeah? It didn't ask to be here, or to get all twisted up like that. Let's just tuck it off in the Kamui. That way, if we want to make something like this for someone else, there's always the option, and we know it's somewhere only we can get to. You and me, from time to time can throw in some little animals or something for it to eat.”

She took a cleaning swab and swabbed the area of his arm she was about to stick the syringe in to several times over again, ensuring that it was as clean as possible. Meanwhile, she listened to her father speak, figuring he was right. There was no real point in killing the creature: it wasn't its fault it was like that, and it likely had just been worried about being thrown back into a cage after having been trapped inside of one so long. Kamui would be perfect for the thing: keeping it safe from anyone but the two of them getting to it, while also giving it wide open spaces to roam around in.

"You're right, no point in killing it. Kamui would work well enough - and with it having my chakra radar now it's not like it could get lost or whatever very easily... Here goes.", with the spot now fully clean she stick the needle of the syringe into her fathers arm. Slowly she pushed the syringe plunger, injecting the strand of this new ability right into his blood stream. When she was finished she gently pulled the needle out and placed a dry clean piece of gauze against where the needle had been; applying pressure to keep it from bleeding.

"Dunno exactly how this is going to make you feel at first, so I'd give it a minute before you really try to do anything. Also not exactly sure how you're going to go about absorbing peoples abilities... not unless you use their blood or something - I don't see you going all cannibal and eating someone after all."

The needle was inserted into his vein, causing the Symbiote to react wildly. Alec's cloak resembled crashing waters in an ocean. It was mostly due to Alec being harmed, and it was very obvious that the organism was very protective of it's host. The needle only felt like a mosquito bite to Alec, and he didn't even react when it was pushed into his arm. The Symbiote seemed to know that Destiny was Alec's daughter, and refrained from lashing out at her. It went back to normal when Dez removed the needle. Alec didn't feel any pain, or any different, but he did see something begin to form in the palm of his right hand. Two marks, both in the shape of diamonds, just as he'd read. Chakra and abilities would be absorbed through the top diamond, then released through the bottom.

”That journal over there said something about blood. I think all i'd have to do is touch it, and if any KKG was in the blood of the person I touched, i'd have access to it. Sounds pretty simple...”

Alec stood up and rolled his sleeve back down, opening and closing his hand several more times. He rolled his right shoulder and took a deep breath, feeling no differently than before Dez injected him, which meant her machine did it's job of cleaning out the blood of the creature of impurities and things that didn't belong.

”Let's test this out, then. Cast one of your moves at me, throw your back into it too. Don't worry about hurting me, if I miss, the Symbiote will just block it.”

He could already feel access to Dark Release's only 3 techniques, which he'd read about in what could be seen inside the journal. A tech to absorb something, a tech to release it, and another that involved weapons. First he wanted to test the absorption of a jutsu.

"Well, at least you don't have to drink it or anything... not such a big deal to touch blood."

Dez thought over the techniques she used; the majority of them were medical ninjutsu, and practically useless in the situation of her father wanting to try out his new ability. However a jutsu did come to mind that would work well. "Alright, I'll use this water bullet jutsu I learned recently..." Concentrating chakra fused suiton into her mouth she allowed the bullet to form; the whole point behind the jutsu. It took only a second or so, mainly because she wasn't in a rush.

She then spit the bullet ball out; firing it from her mouth. The bullet spun like it would if fired from a gun, and moved roughly about 150 meters per second right towards Alec. Dez watched carefully, waiting to see his new ability in action and hoping that what she had done had worked: she normally was top notch with her medical stuff - but sometimes she worried about things going wrong, especially when she was doing medical experiments on her family members.

Jutsu and Chakra:

The attack came. Dez was about as fast as Alec was, so if not for Enhanced Reflexes, he would have likely ended up with a large hole in him, or as a stain on one of the back of these walls, if not for the Symbiote, that is. Raising up his right arm, the palm opened into a catching position, Alec managed to absorb the water bullet into the dark seal on his hand, leaving him with a soaked hand, but unharmed. He tuned his hand around to look at the seal, glowing, signifying that there was a Jutsu currently stored inside.

”Interesting. This is gonna come in handy... no pun intended.”

Yes, another secret weapon that he'd keep under wraps until the time was right. Alec almost wanted to begin scouring the world just to provoke people into attacking him, and start a collection of powerful KKG. But with this summit going on, he'd have to pocket his excitement. For now the blind criminal only grinned while staring at his dripping hand, feeling the powers contained within.

Dark Release - Inhailing Maw:

'Excellent, it worked.', Destiny found herself thinking as she watched her father absorb the attack she had launched at him into his hand; which then glowed, which she guessed signaled that he had absorbed it, and could use it again. "Great, it works."

She then turned her attention to the animal still strapped to her table. It was fully conscious now, and no longer stunned; which was exactly why it was straining itself against the bindings that held it to the table. She frowned slightly, rethinking what she had said earlier. Even if her father hadn't brought Kamui as a method of hiding the creature she knew she wouldn't have been able to incinerate the poor thing, it really wasn't its fault that it was like that. It was those who used it as an experiment and then hid it away in the back of the lab: forgotten and abandoned.

"I'll be right back...."

She turned and walked into her office, riffling through the paperwork on her desk until she found what she was looking for: a pack of crackers she had been nibbling on earlier. The pack was still mostly full, only one cracker missing, and so she brought it out to the table, loosening the strap around the things head enough so that it could lift its head up. She dropped the crackers down in front of it and watched as it began to devour them.

Dark Release - Judgement:

Water Release - Giant Bullet Ball:

Alec aimed his palm into one of Destiny's empty cells and let loose the Water Bullet. There was the sound of a waterfall and crashing liquids as the entire cell was overtaken by H20. The waters emptied out into the main areas and down a drain in the floor. With another secret weapon in his arsenal, Alec grinned, thankful. Should anything were to happen from this point on, he felt like he was prepared for it.

While the water continued pouring down the drain in the floor, Alec noticed Dez go and get some crackers to feed to the creature he'd gotten his new ability from. He definitely didn't want to see the thing executed now, and had to take extra care that, for now at least, he and Dez were the only ones to know about it.

"Thanks a bunch, Dez. Much appretiated. Do you wanna be the one to take our new friend here to his new home, or should I just warp him there? I think it'd be better if you did it, because me zapping it out of here with my eye may give it like, a nervous breakdown or a heart attack or something..."

Dez watched as the creature ate through all of the crackers and then licked the crumbs up and off of the steel table it was strapped to. It seemed calmer now; far calmer than it had been when it was chasing her around the lab. She looked up to her father and nodded. "You're welcome, and yeah.. I'll take 'em, so long as it doesn't try eating me again."

The creature was sniffing in her direction at this point; a tail which looked like it belonged on a dog wagging happily back and forth. She reached a hand out, allowing the thing to get a good sniff of her scent. "I'm going to release these straps and take you some place nice... but if you bite me it won't be so nice for you." She didn't know if the animal could understand her but she did exactly as she had mentioned, leaving only the one strap to keep it from falling off of the table. She then touched it; instantly teleporting herself and it to the dimension her father and her now shared.

The creature sniffed around for a moment, sniffed at her, and then ran off far more happier than it had been. It paused to look back at her several times, as if judging if it was truly free before running around in circles; chasing its tail. Dez giggled for a moment as she watched and then teleported herself back to her lab, still giggling. "I think it's happy now that it's free. Must've just been upset about being stuck in that cage so long."

Jutsu and Chakra:

It seemed to be somewhat more friendly now that Dez fed it, and agreed to let it go as long as it didn't try anything. Eventually she and the creature were within Kamui, where it was free to roam. Alec had to make sure he sent something in there for it to eat every so often. Perhaps, when it got big enough, he or even Dez could send it other people... People they didn't like, for it to torment, eat, rip to pieces, rape, ect, ect.

”Sounds good. Maybe it won't get bored or go crazy in there... I wonder how it would react to one of us sending somebody in there we didn't like. Gonna have to try that one of these days... Anyways, i'm gonna go upstairs and use the global radar to make sure Jr hasn't burned down Niwa yet. Let me know if you need anything Dez...”

Alec took the secret staircase that lead up to his bedroom....
