Ryuji sat on a built in bench of towards the side of the training field. He looked up at the sky and thankfully it was cloudy, he really hated the sun. He wore his dark green jacket on top open with a red tee shirt on underneath. His pants were too his green pair. His hair was neatly combed though. Ryu was told in a letter he got the night before to meet here. He has finally been assigned a team. He was excited about this, he finally gets to prove himself as a shinobi and help people. He even heard that his sensei was going to be the Korikage and that interested him. He was curious about his teammates however the letter only spoke of his sensei not the others in this squad.

He arrived about a hour earlier than the letter had asked him to because he was eager, wanted to check everything out and that he woke up to early by accident.Ryu got up and stretched , it was about time that they should be arriving. He turned around and began to get on lookout and watch for them coming. He put his hands in his pockets and watched. He looked around incase that they came from another direction than the normal and noted how empty this are was today. He looked back over and began to wait.

A white form, nigh indistinguishable from the snow appeared on the horizon, slowly making its way toward the training ground. In no hurry whatsoever, Hiromasa walked towards his new student, his eyes glued to a scroll in his hands. After several long minutes of trudging the distance lazily, he walked past the youth without looking up. "Ryuji, right?"

Some distance away from the genin, his rolled up the scroll and tucked it into his robe. "Your file," he explained, answering the unasked question. "Fire and wind, ninjutsu and genjutsu, correct? I assume my assistant delivered your starting gear as well a sum to help get you started, yes? Let's see what you've got." With that, he slowly withdrew a kunai and held it loosely and, withdrew a short distance, seemingly teleporting from one spot to the other and waited. "Just come at me with whatever you feel like until Juno gets here-your teammate and my other student, if no one told you yet."

This was rather abrupt even though to be expected why else had he been asked to go to the training fields. He did however expect that he would wait more than a minute before they began. Ryu was rather surprised though about how read up on him his sensei was already. Either he skimmed it on the way here which seemed likely as he was reading it up until he arrived or he just did know his stuff. However the evidence pointed to the procrastination. Either way he seemed to be fast enough and he was the kage so that must be for something at least. He also noticed he only mentioned someone named Juno as his teammate. This must be a smaller team then if it is only Juno and Ryuji under their Sensei.

After his sensei had the Kunai dangling he nodded. He knew that he had to do something. Not wanting to start big and as much of a gauge for himself for his sensei this was he was also gauging his sensei in how he acts and handles himself. He reached down and pulled three shuriken out. All three lay on top of each other. He threw two quickly at his sensei and then with the third one in his hand he began to run at him. He was still a bit back behind the shuriken as they went towards his sensei. " Let's see how this goes... "  Ryuji mumbled under his breath. 

"Starting off light, eh?" Said Hiromasa, plucking the shuriken from the air by the holes in the center. "One of the things I think I'll be able to help you with the most aside from general ninja things," he continued, tossing his kunai into the air a moment as he performed handseals near-invisibly before catching it again and using it to block the third, handheld shuriken."Is with your fuuton. How practiced are you?" He asked before smiling and quietly saying "Violent Whirlwind." Exhaling, he released a powerful blast of wind at point-blank range at his student's face, holding the power of the jutsu back considerably such that, instead of bisecting the target it would cause little to no damage, simply throwing the genin back a fair distance.

"Or are you cleverly conserving chakra on the understanding that you're likely to be sparring with your fellow student coming up? If so, well thought out. Do you use any weapons? Scroll didn't mention any but you never know." Mid-sentence he threw his kunai at Ryuji, aiming for the chest. Slowly enough that dodging was possible if he'd kept his guard up but if he'd gotten relaxed as his sensei had spoken chances are he'd wind up with a little fleshwound.

Chakra:785/800:

"Oh, bully. Sensei's already started without me." She grumbled yet again that day, silently to herself. Her somewhat-trained sensory abilities told her that many meters before even coming close to the fight. As such, she didn't make her way straight to the battlefield, but instead, she made her way behind a rock.

Alright, this is Korigakure. Land of Glaciers, so look around. Very little foliage to hide in, but a thick bunch of snow and many large rocks. Additionally, there's a stream to the east that she could use for a getaway. As such, she planned herself accordingly, and proceeded to use the distraction of her sensei to cover herself in snow. Her white-and-grey clothes helped with that. Sadly, this was sparring, so no setting up explosive tags unless somebody wants an arm blasted off. Next, keep 2 smoke bombs near her, in case the other guy was able to get close enough.

Main strategy; snipe the man when he was far away. If he hits the 20m-away and the 10m-away marks, shoot Wendepfeils to dunk him into the snow, head-first. Keep him alive, snipe flesh wounds. If he gets too close, go smoke bombs/Reflexion Ein, run away, then proceed. After that, proceed to run away, still firing. Once out of arrows, go for the shuriken and kunai. Weaken him as much as possible. All else fails, pull out the kunai blade in one hand, Chakra Anesthetic in the other, fight him out and finish him off. No way he's dodging that many projectiles.

She didn't know the other guy's name, she didn't care. Formalities after the fight. With that, she laid her covered body flat on the snow, next to the rock, pulling back an arrow on Faust's string and keeping it there until she got an good sign to begin combat.

Intending to flick the shuriken down at the leg of his sensei as he went for a uppercut but that was stopped when he was grabbed. Ryuji quickly went to adapt to that change in attack but his sensei had been asking some question about fuuton when he got blasted back by wind jutsu and creating quite the distance between them. Ryuji starting catching himself but not quite yet before he fell had heard his sensei talking but then coming at him he spotted a kunai hurling at him. Not having time to jump out of the way he used his current unbalance to make him fall dodging the Kunai that way. Getting up after the kunai had passed him.

" Well my fuuton is rather unpracticed and as for weapons, I only use shuriken and kunai nothing else like swords or anything else. " Ryuji had said facing his sensei as he walked backwards keeping him in sight as he picked up his sensei's kunai. Ryuji glared quickly over the ridge where his sensei came from and saw nothing. This Juno was taking their time he supposed. He stood a bit farther back from his sensei holding the kunai up in a defensive position. He feels right now it was better to watch his sensei's movement rather than move into it as he just did. That ended badly and he did not wish to relive that if he could.

" Oh, as for chakra I wasn't too sure whether I would be or not so there is that but you did just confirm the likelihood of such so I thank you. " In all honesty Ryuji was not sure at all if he would be but like he had said his sense made it seem likely. At least his teammate would be on the same par as him in the sense of they had no idea what eachother could do while Hiro already knew everything Ryu could, damn Kage advantage. 

Hiromasa chuckled as Ryuji fell out of the kunai's way drunken-master style."Well, admittedly I could use some more jutsu in my fuuton library as well, so we'll be learning some of the less...complex jutsu together and working up as you get more skilled." As he spoke he felt a familiar chakra enter the fringes of his sensory abilities.  Taking care not to look in her direction, he smiled as an idea struck him. He'd planned to use this a bit later, but it'd be an amusing introduction as a team. Reaching into his robes, he withdrew a silvery bell with a red string attached to it. Tying it to a loop on his robe designed for this purpose, he addressed Ryuji somewhat loudly so that Juno could hear him too, though unlikely to cause suspicion given the distance away from him Ryuji had been thrown by his jutsu.


"Gonna give you a little head start since you're the new guy. This is the bell test, your goal is to get this bell here from me. Juno, whenever she gets done harassing my staff and generally being a pain in my ass, will hopefully pick up on what's happening quickly enough and join in. Whether you two work together or solo is up to you. What to give the winner though...hm. Well, I'll figure it out in between naps as we go. You start as soon as this kunai hits the ground." He said, withdrawing another and tossing it into the air. As it fell, so did the Korikage, laying on the snow and closing his eyes as the weapon landed a few inches from his face.

Wait, WHAT?! Shit, he just switched the mission target to the one who can sense her when she's hiding! Crap, he dropped to the snow, too, field advantage. Right, change of plan!

She aimed her reeled-back shot at Hiromasa, knowing full well he'd dodge it. Afterwards, she hurled a smoke bomb at the Kage and the male Genin, covering the place with smoke. Hopefully, that gave her enough time to get there. Rushing over at ninja-speed, she jumped in and activated her sensory abilities. Hiromasa at North-North-West, Genin at South! She rushed over to the Genin. "Hi, I'm Juno. Fall backwards, deploying explosive note!" She rolled up the paper into a ball and tossed it forwards, tugging at Ryuji's clothes to jump back with chakra.

She jumped back herself, and counting 2 seconds for her new teammate to get out of the radius, she activated the note, causing an ample explosion. "Move, move, move! There's some trees if you keep running, we need to get there to plan!" She yelled at him, already sprinting towards the small foliage that was spruce trees.

Ryuji seeing his sensei throw a kunai and give some little speech about a bell. Ryu had to get the bell, it would be easier if Juno, his teammate was here but she wasn't yet. His sensei just fell down on the ground and appeared to be napping. Ryuji knew he had something up his sleeve it wouldn't be a test if it was as easy as walk up and take the bell. The kunai fell next to his head but Ryuji waited watching him for any sign of weakness right now but he was not sure what his sensei was capable of. Quickly he had heard a noise and then a smoke bomb landed and went off.

Someone grabbing him called herself Juno which would mean his partner finally showed up. She had yelled about a paper bomb. Ryu being quick reflexed had jumped back with her. The tag the exploded with some blast as she had pointed out some trees that they could hide in for a bit. Ryuji agreeing it was a good idea took off with her to the woods. The kunai still in hand. Catching up with her at the woods he leaned down " I'm Ryuji, well we can get proper introductions done later. I can see you're a archer kind of person, rare. So let's quickly work out a plan, any other skills of yours I need to know about? And before you ask I do Ninjutsu and Genjustu, Fire and wind. " Ryuji rambled that out quickly.

He was just so blessed to have a insane teammate, but that could be useful in the current situation. Ryu was thinking of many different things to do right now but he wanted to hear if Juno had any other ideas that maybe he wasn't thinking of.

An arrow thudded against his side, falling harmlessly into the snow as a loud snore came from the Korikage. Shortly after, a pffffft and the smell of a smoke bomb.Quite pleasant really, he though as he shifted in the snow, creating a more comfortable resting place as he waiting for the two to figure out their plan. He was mildly disappointed that they'd neither bum rushed him nor started squabbling, but both were ultimately good signs. Still, he was getting bored and decided to have a little fun with them. Reaching out, he grabbed snow and began burying himself in it as the smoke from the explosive tag and the snow it had kicked up began to fade. Soon enough he was completely covered in snow, and began digging himself deeper into the thick layers.

With a chuckle, he began sticking explosive tags in the densely-packed snow, a little surprise for his students after they had to go through the annoying monotony of finding and digging him up. A thought struck him and he grinned impishly, though no one could see it. Inhaling, he released a large quantity of water from his mouth, not enough to upset the hill of snow he was now beneath too much, but enough to suffuse it with water and completely submerge himself in it. Then, forming the seal of the serpent, he cast Flash Freeze, turning the entire hill into a hybrid of snow and unnaturally tough ice, weakening it enough that they would be able to get through it but not enough that it wouldn't be a pain in the ass. Now frozen and unable to move easily, the Korikage smiled and closed his eyes, his plan to take a nap while still being productive setting in motion.

Chakra:770/800:

Once in the trees with him, she sighed. "Archer, medic, Umgekehrtnacht. The clan that can flip things over with chakra. I'm trained around support ops, assassination, and divergence ops." She eyed the place explosion area carefully. Either her sensei went into hiding, or he decided to bury himself under the thick snow and take a damn nap. Knowing how lazy the man was, she reasoned that it was the latter. She looked for any footsteps other than their own, and it was confirmed.

"Alright, look." She pointed out the area. "See that area? The Korikage is a snow user, and judging by the lack of footsteps going anywhere other than ours, he's buried himself under that thick snow. Additionally, he's going to have to make some type of defense if he plans to not die to a well-placed explosion." She thought on it a bit. "Explosive tags, of course. He could use...

1) More snow. But that's not right since the thickness and amount of snow there hasn't changed.
2) Water. Possible, but he could freeze it with...
3) Ice, which is the most likely one along with the above."

Juno thought on it a bit before using her sniper eye to see one of the first footsteps she made running away. Yep, filled with frozen water. "See the first steps? That confirms it. And he's probably set up a minefield, too. That's what I would do."

"Give me a second to find his actual location..." She activated her sensorship. It was absurdly faint, but still there. Hiromasa hadn't moved at all! "That bastard just dig into where he fell over, son-of-a..." She turned to Ryuji, disgruntled. "Tch. Well, here are my plans in a few seconds. You choose.

a) We could throw explosive kunais and fire jutsu at them and try to detonate any tags and up-turn snow to find the ice area...
b) I could throw one of my clan jutsu on his area of ice, flip it over, and we can assault him long-range with fire, wind, arrows, and explosions. This is the safest, but won't get us the bell.
c) Flip it over, have you try and put a genjutsu on him. While he's taking a second to dispel that, you keep him busy with assault tactics. I go in to get the bell, and I have an anesthesia jutsu that'll numb him a bit, keeping him off guard. I try to throw my clan jutsus at him to flip him upside-down, grab the bell, done. It's the most risky, and we'll have to maneuver the minefield unless we do plan A first."

She paused for a breath. All that in a few moments, there were better options, but that was the best she had for now. "If the plan you choose fails, then you gotta throw a fire jutsu, combo it with a wind jutsu to try to melt the ice as we retreat. I'll throw a smoke grenade at him, then we think of another plan based off any info we get from the first confrontation."
