What the hell was up with his father was what he was thinking about. Back in the day, he'd have gone to war a long time ago. People would be dead and cities would burn. If he was still the crazy ass he used to be, that dog man Hiroyuki and that other idiot Kenta, they'd be dead, headless, somewhere rotting right now. He started to think that maybe his father was getting old and starting to calm down. Or maybe it was all because of Aella... the young family members were always sweet in him that way.

Currently he was in the dark skies above Makkura, quickly flying back and fourth, leaving glowing orange trails in the dark skies, much to the entertainment of some of the kids below. On the ground, all people saw was the aura of a huge orange bird, which would cast an orange glow on most of the village.

A girl with blonde hair was standing near the drawbridge over the bottomless moat to the tower. When he got closer he could see that she was Avery. She looked different... like she'd been somewhere training. Jr flew circles around the tower very quickly, making it seem as if it was surrounded by orange rings.

Avery looked over to a few of the kids she could see likewise watching the sky, and following their own gazes she quickly spotted Junior just in time to watch him circle the tower quickly, making it look as if it were surrounded in orange colored rings. She chuckled as a grin spread across her face. Hope he'd hear her above the rush of wind up that high she called out, "Hey, Junior. Got a sec?" As she waited for his response she thought about him flying up there and remembered what she had found up in the mountains, something she had momentarily forgotten to bring up to Alec in her excitement over new weapons, and a serious speed boost. It was an airship the likes of which she had never seen: it looked more like a pirate ship than anything, but having messed with it a bit after ensuring it wasn't booby trapped she had quickly realized she could make the thing fly. She had sealed the thing up and left it there... but, eventually she was going to bring it home... soon as she found out if they had enough room to store it somewhere around here or not.

Arms folded across her chest and she shifted her stance into a more comfortable one as she glanced back over to the kids watching Junior. If anything she could use the ship as a means to entertain the children around Makkura, give them free rides around the village, let them see things from a view they otherwise wouldn't be able to.

Jr heard Avery speak to him. He'd never really saw eye to eye with the woman, so he could only guess at what she wanted. A puzzled look crossed his face as he slowed down and came to a sliding stop on the ground near the drawbridge.

He remembered how sensitive his father said Avery was to fire, so the glowing hot bird aura that surrounded him and kept him airborne faded and vanished. Some of the kids made aww sounds but kept their grins. ”No worries kids, i'll be back later, yeah? Gotta take care of this dark stuff.”

Jr walked over near Avery with the puzzled look still on his face. Normally Avery had nothing to do with Jr, primarily because he could get so hot, but possibly because he had a bad attitude and she didn't like him. He could deal with that. ”Ok, what'd I do now...” he said, thinking of whatever it was that she could possibly bitch him out for.

Avery watched Junior land, a random thought appearing in her head as she remembered her and Juniors first meeting like this up on the roof of the tower all those years ago - she wondered if he still felt some of that rage towards her that he had back then. But, she had no problem with Junior, especially understanding where that rage had come from, so she simply shook her head with a slight grin. "Nah, nah, nothing like that." She lifted her right hand and pointed with her left to the yellow colored bracelet. "Your father made me a weapon and I wanted to ask for your help with something. The weapon runs on crystal batteries that can be charged with elements... meaning I can use any element I want so long as I have the battery with it in it. At the same time as I'm using it I become immune to it so I cannot be affected by it." She opened the compartment of the weapon and pulled out one of the batteries which was very much empty right now. "I was wondering if you'd be willing to fill one of these up with fire... If not it's cool, but I figured I'd ask."

"I've just been doing a lot of training lately... including the fact i learned how I turn my wind shield off so I'm not as weak to fire as I usually am. Want to get as strong as possible in case someone comes over here feeling like they can try something..."

Jr looked even more puzzled. She was asking him for help? He didn't understand why. Jr recognized the bracelets on each of her wrists; the strange glove weapon things his father had been slowly messing around with the past few years. Had he finally finished them up? Those must have been what those strange crystal things were for too, then. The strange crystals that he said he'd swiped from Hana before deserting the village and becoming missing.

”...Why're you asking me, then? Didn't you like, hate me for saying you were a fool for falling for someone like my dad back in the day, and that you were sick in the head or something? Why the sudden change of heart? Why don't you get dad to do that weird eye thing for you on one of these crystals, then you could like, warp people into the asshole of oblivion. That would be cooler, right?”

Stop being difficult. Kamui wouldn't work like that anyway. Jr took a strange expression again, looking around for his father. Telepathy, Junior. Your niece taught it to me, relax. You know... you kinda were a dick toward her back in the day, so if she didn't like you she'd have good reason. If she still didn't like you I think you'd know, so if you're done being a police interrogator will you do her this favor? I re-engineered the crystals to accept more powerful sources of energy like your rage fire. I'm interested in seeing how it plays out, aren't you? You know how long it took me to make those things.

Jr frowned some, and took the crystal from Avery's hands. Using the frustration of the moment, knowing deep down that his father was right, he backed away from her some. His right arm became covered in black rage fire, making the ground around him begin to smoke from the sheer amount of heat. Pushing some of that chakra inside of the crystal battery was pretty simple, and soon the inside of it was filled with the black and white flames.

After a while to cool down so Avery wouldn't get burned, he handed the crystal battery back to her. ”...Anything else I can do to help?”

Well, Avery hadn't exactly been expecting that response, nor having the past thrown up in her face. She had been upset at first about what Junior had said five years ago up on that roof, but she had let that go when Alec had explained why Junior had acted like that. She figured had she been in his shoes she likely would have acted like that too - not that she had parents, the only family she had left was her grandmother, and she was really on the crazy side of things. But, she didn't hate Junior, not at all.

She just shook her head, noticing the look on his face as he looked around - almost as if he heard something, but Avery didn't. She had almost been able to walk away, figuring he likely wasn't going to be willing to help her, when he took the crystal and began to charge it after stepping away from her. She took the crystal back after it cooled and placed it in the left gauntlet. She pulled out another empty crystal. "Feel like filling this one up with some explosive chakra?", she asked curiously. If he said no then it was fine, she was already beginning to feel like maybe Junior did still hate her and feel the way he had felt all those years ago.

"And to answer your question... no, I don't hate you. Never did. I was upset at first when you said those things, but... I figure if I was in your shoes I'd feel the same way. 'Course, that's not something I have to worry about ever... my parents were murdered a long time ago." She didn't know why she had mentioned her parents, she never really talked about them before: they had been murdered by those hunting Avery down, by those who wanted her power. Her parents had gotten in the way to give her more time to escape to her grandmother's... of course, they had later found her at her grandmother's a year or so later... so their death had been for nothing in the end.

Jr took the next crystal. He had the Boom Boom gloves created for him by Nana on, as always, so next he began to fill it with Explosive chakra, colored a dark shade of orange. He didn't have to back away since it wasn't hot. Even Jr at this point was left wondering how this would work in those contraptions of hers.

She said she didn't hate him, and knew how he felt somewhat, but not completely since her parents were killed. That was something Jr couldn't understand at all. There was no way he could imagine his mother or father dead. It was because of what she said that the frown disappeared from his face. It seemed she didn't have any family, and this had to be the best thing that happened to her in a long time, even if his father snatched her up.

Jr wasn't one for mushy situations really, but at least he was no longer frowning. He didn't want to get into it with her with the sad and emo situations. ”Try not to drop that,” he said. ”Could be really bad if you do. You may lose a leg... don't shake it too much either. Losing an arm is no better...”

Avery watched as Junior filled the second crystal up with an orange colored chakra that she figured to be the explosive chakra she had asked for. She was careful when she took it back from him with a nod of thanks, and was equally as careful when she put it into a special pocket of her pouch where she wouldn't have to worry about it accidentally going off. Having something that would make her punches into bombs was going to be incredibly helpful.

"Thanks a bunch, appreciate it.", she said after the crystal battery was carefully put away and she no longer had to worry about accidentally blowing herself up: a missing limb was something she had no interest in experiences. Before she forgot to do it she pulled out a third crystal which she then began to fill with suiton chakra, the whole crystal filling up with a blue like substance. This crystal joined the explosive one in her pouch. She pulled out a fourth one and filled it up with wind: the crystal remained clear but if one looked close enough to it they would see movement inside as the wind was constantly moving around. This crystal went into her other gauntlet: it would allow her to combine the fire and wind into a super attack of sorts.

A fifth crystal was filled with raiton chakra after being pulled out and then it too was placed into her pouch: now she had five different elemental chakras to choose from depending on the situation she might end up facing. "Figure I'll go get some rest...", she said finally as she turned and headed back into the tower.
