"Come're kitty kitty!", she whispered softly as she wandered over to the bush she had just watched a particularly orange kitten run under; the bush nearby the park closest to the tower. She had named the kitten Sunshine simply because of its coloring and had spent the past several minutes trying to coax it into coming over to her so she could pet it, and likely try to sneak the fuzzy thing into her room, however the kitten was proving to be far too playful for that and had taken off wanting chased. It was hiding beneath the bush with just its nose and eyes sticking out so that it could watch Artemis as she attempted to tip-toe her way over to the bush without startling the kitten further.

"Come out, Sunshine... I want to pet you!", she added softly in a sing-song type of voice. The small, two year old sized child, got down on her hands and knees while ignoring the dirt and dust that instantly darkened the knees of her white leggings and which coated the toes of her black boots and part of the exceptionally long blue hoodie she was wearing, and peered down so that she was eye-level with the kitten. "I see you!"

The kitten meowed once and then slowly crept out from beneath the bush and over to Artemis' outstretched hand. Artemis seized her chance and scooped the kitten up. She hugged it gently; the kitten purring loudly the entire time.

Jr had been keep an extra eye open since the birth of his new little sister. He dared anyone to come in here and trying anything, even with the fact that his father had orchestrated several kidnappings of his own in the past. Not many knew that his father now had a new daughter, but there were always leaks. Were anyone to come in here and try to make off with her, they were dead. No questions. No negotiations. He would flay the skin from their bones and turn them into ash. Not even to mention what Destiny, Emiko or his father would do to the unfortunate idiot that happened through Makkura with the idea of kidnapping the daughter of a well-known crime lord.

Jr, his body surrounded by the aura of Hi No Seishin, was zig zagging through the dark purple clouds above the village like he usually did, leaving behind glowing orange trails behind him. His sister was below, sneaking up on something; from up here it looked like some sort of animal. A guinea pig? A Cat? He'd have to get closer to get a better look. It was around the time that Artemis grabbed the animal that Jr dove from above and sped toward the ground. He turned right as he was about to smash into the ground and sped down the street towards his sister. Jr's feet touched the ground and he began to slide, coming to a stop next to her. The bird aura disappeared so that there was no threat of her being burned.

”I thought it was a cat,” said Jr, sliding his hands into his pockets as the air around him cooled down, and the orange trail down the street began to fade out and disappear. ”Where'd it come from? The beasts and things lurking in the shadows outside the village love making meals out of animals and whatnot. Musta been pretty brave to make in this far, eh?”

Giggles erupted from her like a volcano overflowing when she caught the sight of her older brother arriving in a streak of what she considered to be pretty colors; some of her favorites. The kitten, hardly startled, peaked its head up and over Artemis' shoulder so that it could get a better look at Junior; all before meowing at him and then returning to purring like a tiny little motor.

Artemis hugged the kitten gently again before smiling at her big brother. "I dunno where Sunshine came from but I wanna keep her. I don't want her to be eaten by something bigger. She seems smarter than other kitties...Smart and brave. I think she would make a good pet kitten.", as she finished her last sentence the kitten climbed the rest of the way up her shoulder and into the hood of her overly long hoodie as if it knew exactly what she had just said; where it then curled itself into a little ball leaving nothing more than its tiny pink nose sticking out so that it could breath as it promptly began to doze off in a way only kittens and small children could.

Artemis turned her head while trying to see where the kitten went and then giggled again. She focused back on her brother and looked up at the sky. "I wanna learn how to fly..."

”I donno why dad or your mom would say no. Your sister might want to do experiments on her though.” Jr said this with a laugh. Destiny probably wouldn't want to do anything but make sure the kitten was in good health most likely, he knew this. Artemis probably would have been down in that lab dozens of times by now.

At Artemis' statement that she wanted to learn to fly, Jr rubbed his right hand through the mop of white hair on his head while looking upwards. ”Probably from watching me all the time, right?' he asked, looking back at her. ”I'm only able to because of Hi No, but there's ways of flying without having a beast sealed into you...”

”Phoenix,” Hi No Seishin could be sternly heard saying, for she detested being called a beast,

”Or when it comes to me, like she said, a Phoenix. Your mom can ride around on that fan of hers. I don't know if you ever met those twins that came here from up north, the Yanagis? But the guy, his name is Kurai. He knows how to fly without something sealed into him, or having to use an element to keep him in the air. If your mom doesn't show you how she can fly, maybe he will. You have to be really careful though.... You're still a little tyke, and there's big birds around that might try to grab and make a meal of you.”

"So long as she doesn't turn Sunshine into a zombie kitty that's okay... I don't want a bald zombie kitten with stinky rotting flesh.", she said as she wrinkled her nose in response to the very idea of having a zombie kitten.

She nodded when Junior asked if she wanted to fly because of seeing him doing it all of the time; she thought the ability to fly was cool, and wanted to be able to fly around everywhere too. "I dunno, my mom's fan is really really heavy. I'd have to wait till I'm really big and strong to be able to use something like that to fly..." She then thought about the option of possibly learning from Kurai; if he could fly without something as heavy as a giant iron fan than it was worth a shot. Or, there was option three.... go find a phoenix or other flying creature that she could have sealed inside of her like Junior had inside of him.

She giggled suddenly. "Maybe I can find a pretty baby phoenix and make friends with him or her and then have the phoenix sealed inside of me like you have inside of you!" Yes, this was definitely something that had peaked her interest now; and not exactly something that would be hard to look for given her enhanced vision. All she would have to look for was an anomaly on what she was seeing: something other than the darkness that was the beasts lurking around or the blue-aura covered people she constantly saw that were her family and the villagers of Makkura.

Jr didn't smile or laugh with her. In fact, he looked a little worried. Perhaps she'd been exposed to some things far too early. Having living things sealed into your body always came with the chance that something could go terribly, horribly wrong. His sister hadn't even been on this Earth 5 years and she'd already wanted some sort of creature sealed into her.

”Uhhh... maybe it's a little too early for you to be thinking about things like that, Aretmis,” said Jr, again rubbing a hand through his white hair. ”Maybe you might wanna think about waiting until you get older or something. Having beasts – or Phoenixes – sealed into your body is dangerous. Sometimes the thing you want sealed into you isn't as friendly as Hi No, or that Bull that Kurai has, or the Panda that Aella has, and doesn't want sealed in. Sometimes they get sealed in anyway, and when you think things are gonna get better, they get worse.”

Jr pulled on both of his Boom Boom Gloves tighter. ”...You also have to think about how once you get joined with one of these things, you can never separate from it again. What if it doesn't like you? What if you two argue all the time? Then you're stuck with something you can't get along with forever... Why don't you take a few years to grow up some and think about it first...”

It was most likely his fault for her to think up an idea like this, with the way he was always flying around. He slapped his forehead and pinched the bridge of his nose with sort of a frown...

She tilted her head a bit to the side as she listened carefully to what her brother was saying and saw his frown. She was little, she knew that, and if something as bad as what Junior was saying could happen then she would have a very long time to have to deal with that; even longer than everyone else because she was so young. So, she smiled gently and nodded in agreement. "Okay, I'll wait till I'm older, like you, before doing something like that."

She then giggled; the cause being the kitten who had started climbing out of her hood and sat on her shoulder licking her ear. She straightened her head up to avoid the licking but the kitten simply sat up higher and continued on. "But, if I find a phoenix I still wanna make friends with him or her... is that okay?" She didn't want to do something that could be considered dangerous but if she was simply friends with the phoenix, or any other chakra beast she might come across, she didn't see how that could be a bad thing. Then again, maybe there was something she was missing; so she figured it would be a good idea to double check and see what her older brother thought.

"Maybe, if I make friends with a phoenix, or something else, and then grow up and become older like you and everyone else then maybe I could have my friend sealed inside of me."

"So, I heard someone wants to learn how to fly.", said Avery as she walked over. She had been keeping an eye on Artemis from a distance while she chased after the kitten her daughter had named Sunshine. She really didn't have a problem with Artemis flying; Avery had been doing it since she was about Artemis' age back home after all. So, it would only be right for her to do it; at least within limits.

Avery had a very simple, very easy, method of making this all happen that had nothing to do with having a beast sealed inside of the child; especially since she was very much in agreement with what Junior had mentioned. She did not want to see a beast sealed inside of her daughter with how young she was and because of how wrong those things could sometimes end up going. "What if I told you there was a way that could allow you to fly without any sort of jutsu, or without you having to have a phoenix or any other sort of creature sealed inside of you?"

She stopped nearby her daughter while knowing exactly what she was going to say; yes of course. "And, given the way I'd be doing it there would be absolutely no way you could fall and hurt yourself or even crash into something..." Yup, she was going to cover those areas too. Figuring she would go on and explain she sat down nearby her daughter and poked her on the nose lightly. "All I would have to do is enhance your natural wind shield with one the strength of mine; it would protect you all on its own and keep you from crashing into anything or falling naturally. I could add into the seal a little tweak that would give you pretty wings too which you could use to change directions, or do the awesome stuff you keep seeing Junior do. How's that sound? You'd need to practice a lot, and probably ask your brother for some tips since I've never had wings so I'm not help there, but it'd be a way for you to fly safely; because I'm in agreement with Junior, you don't need any beasts sealed inside of you for a very long time."


A grin then spread across her face. "Or, you wait a little while, give me some time to find an even better way, and then it'll be an even better way to fly..."

His little sister agreed to wait until she was older before she would undergo something as dangerous as joining with a Bijuu. Her doing something like that would give some tough guy a reason to come in here and try something stupid. While people like himself, his father, Kinzoku and Kurai always welcomed a challenge and violence, Jr didn't want it being about his 2 year old sister. Technically she should still be in diapers and in a crib, but much like himself, Destiny, and his long lost sister Serenity, she matured far before she should have.

”I donno if there are any baby Phoenixes around, but if you found one and made friends with it, that would be cool,” said Jr. Avery appeared soon after this, and told Artemis about a way to fly without having anything sealed into her. She'd even have wings – like he, Destiny and his father did back home – so he'd have to show her how to use them. Still though... Jr had to rub his face again and let out a long slow sigh. He thought his little sister was moving too fast. It seemed like she hit the ground running as soon as Avery gave birth to her. She was still technically a baby but already she was wanting monsters sealed into her, and already she was wanting to fly around like she saw him doing all the time.

This was his own opinion of course. Avery was obviously on board since she was offering to teach Artemis something like this, but how did his father feel about it? How did Destiny? If Demi were still here, how would she feel about her 2 year old sister zipping around here, risking being turned into a red stain on the side of one of Makkura's buildings? Jr didn't voice these thoughts and kept them to himself...
