Mission Taken:

Alright, so escorting a whore to her next trick wasn't exactly up there on his list of memorable accomplishments, but it served as an alright warm-up. He immediately took on another mission; something a little more exciting. So apparently a gang of thieves were attacking and stealing from visitors and locals, robbing them of money and valuables. Although most of them were only Genin, rumor had it that one of them was a pretty accomplished tracker.

He couldn't kill them, but it wasn't like he wanted to. All he would do is teach them a lesson, and perhaps motivate them to get back into the academy and do things the right way. Kisai, the ringleader, was older than Kuro and also the tracker. Kuro could tell from a glance that the guy was pretty good, but trying to hide from someone who'd trained extensively and was also good at hiding themself was pretty pointless.

Kisai and his band of hooligans were all in the process of casing a tourist who looked to be pretty wealthy. The woman was dressed in expensive robes and being followed by 2 of her hirees, carrying packages of the many items she'd bought from the marketplace. It almost seemed like an open and shut deal as the woman and her 2 followers moved down a narrow passage that lead to the hotel she was staying in during her visit to Kumo, until one of kisai's followers suddenly turned and began attacking his comrades.

They protested, and so did he. All of them were confused. He suddenly started to punch himself and then ran himself into a nearby wall, falling to the ground unconscious. Another one of the goons began to attack, knocking several of the others unto unconsciousness next, then also ran himself into the wall. In the end, Kisai himself was left standing in confusion. he looked around and happened to catch a glimpse of a dark dressed individual upon the rooftops, with something long and black connected to his feet, resembling a snake.

Kuro jumped down, looking at Kisai with his blank expression. "You might want to...reconsider your career choices," Kuro said, in one of his rare moments of speaking. "...Robbing and looting...it doesn't seem to be working out for you, huh?" Kuro began to pat himself down, and Kisai suddenly found himself doing every movement that Kuro did in a perfect mimic. Kisai could see that his shadow was connected to Kuro's and found himself victim to the Shadow Imitation technique. His comrades' actions suddenly began to make sense.

Kuro made the motion as if he were pulling out something, but Kisai was pulling out a Kunai. Kuro made Kisai, now scared out of his mind, put the kunai to his own neck. "Yeah, yeah! You're right," Kisai said. "I'll go legit, i'll get out of this game! Just-just don't hurt me!..."

Kuro released his hold on Kisai and turned to leave. "Good...I'll remember you said that. If I were you...I wouldn't do anything to have me come looking for you again..." By then, Kuro was within shadows and unseen...
