He was getting too soft, he mused, dashing through the village and barely dodging an old lady and her grandchild. It was a cute enough mission, sure, but nothing overly exciting and another testament to the fact that he shouldn't bring Momo along with him when he picks out missions. He has to keep reminding himself she's a ninja, too, a rather strong one at that; she was off doing a mission of her own right now, whichever she had chosen. They were alike in that way, both trying to convince the other to focus on friendly, safe topics. Nene had a reason to fight, though.

Regardless he was here, searching for the Nara's lost deer and wondering exactly why that was. Isn't that clan's specialty trapping, or something like that? The Genin shrugged it off, not knowing really anything concerning the shadow clan or their inner workings; except, apparently, they really cared about Bambi.

Yells of surprise in the distance alerted him to the current location of the deer, thanking whatever higher powers that be because his legs were starting to tire. The animal was good at leading chase, bolting at the slightest hint of danger and distress- making this a lot more fun as well as a lot more difficult than it should be. Likely why it was ranked as a c-rank mission, he reasoned, skidding around the corner and charging in the direction he heard the sounds coming from.

He was decked out in a few new items after shopping, his hammer Hogosha beating against his leg with each thump of his boots against the ground of the streets. It was actually one of his mother's suggestion, worried what constant use of the clan's chakra increased strength might due to a younger, less experienced member, and so ordered it specially for him. He appreciated the gesture and always kept it with him, even naming it himself, but he didn't see him using it out side of serious situations. He wasn't very skilled with the weapon yet- and it really wasn't going to help him in situations like this.

Finding himself on the right street he spotted the deer just leaving, crowds of children cooing and advancing on it before it decided to bolt. "... Damn." He sighed, taking a moment to stretch before racing off again. With a grunt and a hop he was on top of the roof of a random house, silently giving his apologies to anyone under who heard him running across the shingles. He could see the target in the distance, however, and went off in pursuit, changing direction as the deer did and finding himself tiring out once again. This was more draining than the last few fights he had, he mused with a groan, jumping down from the rooftops in an attempt to corner the deer in an alley.

His endeavor was rewarded, the shaking, terrified animal pressed into the wall and making... deer noises. He actually frowned at that, feeling bad for all the noise he had made up to this point. The mission statement DID say it was a tame house pet and not suited for life outside, meaning it likely wasn't used to all the sights it had gotten to take in today. Oh well, it was getting late and he needed to get the thing home. He was on his toes as he stepped forward to grab it, careful to make sure that he could react in time if it tried to bolt past him; but it looked just as tired as he was, amplified by the fear and the heartbeat even Nene could hear.

With a scoop of his arms he lifted the creature up against his shoulder, pouring a constant stream of chakra into his hands to help him out here. "... You're a lot lighter than I expected you to be. C'mon, then, little buddy. Let's get you home."
