Appearance!
Height: 5’5”
Weight: 110 Pounds
Hair Color: White | Shoulder Length
Eye Color: Red
General Description: Amaya has had very pale skin due to her albino traits for the majority of her life, but it has started to slowly darken over the years with more exposure to the sun: red eyes sticking out easily against her tan colored flesh. Her form is willowy, and yet athletic with an hourglass shape to it and a C cup bust. She stands at an even five feet, five inches tall and weighs one hundred and ten pounds.
Her hair is white, choppy in its style, with the longest pieces beng shoulder length but the majority of it being much shorter. Her hair sticks up in the back; and frays out on the sides, giving her a 'bed head' style look - as if she hasn't bothered to do much with it.
Her typical outfit when not on duty consists of a corset styled top which is leather around the waist and stomach area - laced up in the front with leather straps - and with a thick white cloth that covers her chest, allowing for mild cleavage to show. The top of her shirt continues up, forming two one inch thick straps which go up behind the back of her neck where they are tied.
She wears a black pair of shorts which have a white pleated skirt that ties over top of this; the white skirt held up with a brown leather belt with a silver belt buckle. Her feet are covered in typical shinobi sandals, black in color.
Her village headband is normally worn around her left forearm.
About You!
Personality: Amaya is a very quiet person due to her lack of socialization when she was younger: having been kept away from others mostly due to how sick she was when she was younger and how easy it was for her to catch something.
She's very family orientated, and tends to like to stick to people she knows.
She's normally a quiet person, whose very soft spoken, hough this by no means means she's not willing to be loud when she feels the need to be. Normally that tends to be when she's yelling at someone for being obnoxious or overly loud for no good reason. She's not afraid to tell someone her opinion either, if she feels that they need to hear it. However, when she does finally speak it she does so in a manner that tends to leave the other person with nothing else to say as she thinks over what she's going to say and makes sure it's perfect and flawless before doing so.
She's a kind person for the most part, willing to help others if she can. That however doesn't mean she's a push over, there is a rather cruel side to her if someone has said or done something against someone she cares about. She's even been known to become violent, lashing out and attacking people if she feels it's needed.
However, she's also caring. The term "give you the shirt off their own back" definitely applies to her and how she is towards others: and she has a great bedside manner when its needed.
She likes to be alone for the most part especially after having lost not only one of her closest friends but also the love of her life. She prefers to either be sitting quietly in her room reading one of her many favorite books that she has all but memorized, or out in some grassy field somewhere basking in the warmth of the sun while reading up on the next new medical technique for her to learn, or otherwise by her brother's side as her losses in life have increased her desire to remain close to the last remaining person she truly cares for.
She isn't lazy though because when she sets her mind to a task she sticks to it until it's completed, no matter how hard it shows itself to be.
Likes: Books, books, and more books. If Amaya could get away with eating, sleeping, and otherwise living in the library she would - though her brother probably wouldn't like that too well. She's always knowledge hungry, and would like nothing more then to hide off in a corner some where with her nose stuffed into a book all day long. Even if it's something that others would find nonsense to know she has to have it memorized down to the last dotted 'i'.
If Amaya isn't lost in the library somewhere she's off either following her brother, Naota, around when he's not busy, or she's laying somewhere in the grass fields and staring up at the clouds. While not entirely lazy, she does love relaxing a whole lot and just taking a moment to truly appreciate the world around her: down to the smallest creature that most would never notice or even think insignificant.
Amaya has a great enjoyment of hard candies: something she has loved since she was a child she can always be found with a supply on her at all times: often seen wandering around and eating them especially when she's bored.
Dislikes: Amaya has never been one for food outside of her little hard candies. Having had a 'weak' stomach since she was born Amaya tends to avoid breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as much as possible: something she often got into arguments with her family over as they worried for her health. She'd be just as happy munching on an apple and having that sustain her for the entire day then having to sit in front of a plate of food and force herself to eat what ever is on it.
That being said, she will eat for certain people as long as they're the ones who have cooked the food, but those people are rare and far between, the biggest person able to persuade her being her big brother.
She also tends to not care for loud noises or those who have to show off. She believes that people who have to do such are not worth the salt they make themselves out to seem to be. She's always believed that actions speak louder than words; that you can prove yourself more in what you do than through what you say. Everyone can lie after all, even Amaya can lie with the best when needed.
Motivations: Because of her sickness as a young child the idea of helping others is a big motivation for Amaya: it played a big part in the reasoning why she became a medical specialist to begin with. She's more then willing to do anything she can to help people.
Her older brother, Naota, is also a great motivation for her. She wants to be just like him, seeing him as a big idol and someone whose example is worth trying to live up to.
While she doesn't strive to be a show off of any sorts she does use the idea that people are looking to her as a motivation in the way she acts and treats others. She wishes to show herself to be the best for both her clans name sake, and for her own, trying to prove that a violent past does not bring a violent present or future.
Lastly, the death of those she cared deeply for also motivate her: with the death of Kenta and Ashi brought a great deal of pain of Amaya, more pain that she ever wanted to feel. It's why she has sworn herself to follow by her brother's side, the last person she truly cares for, and ensure that that pain does not repeat itself again.
Fears: Amaya fears almost more then anything relapsing fully into her sickness. She remembers very well the agony that she went through in both the mental and physical pain that not only her sickness caused herself but her family and friends. She remembers the months of being trapped in her bed, stuck in her room which had to be a very sterile environment: separated from everyone else outside of the medics who took care of her.
Another big fear is any harm coming to her family. It becomes almost irrational in the way she handles it. If any family member goes out on say a mission she goes through all the prayer rituals she can find and has memorized throughout the years. She'll end up relapsing into her ways of refusing to eat, especially if she knows the danger level of the mission to be higher up. This fear has only been increased with the loss of one of her best friends, and the love of her life.
Amaya also fears being a disappointment to her brother. She looks up to him more than anyone else and the idea of doing something that would cause her brother to feel ashamed of her or disappointed in her is her most secret fear.
Lastly, Amaya fears failure. This isn't to say that she fears death: as death and pain are no strangers to her, and she has made peace with her demons long ago. But, Amaya fears failure in a way to where she is the cause of someone's death or suffering. Amaya fears not being enough for her family and friends: not strong and powerful enough to protect them when danger comes knocking on their door. She has lost people already, and fears losing her brother as much as she fears disappointing him.
History: Birth to Youth:
Amaya Uchiha was given her name as firstly, she belongs to the Uchiha clan (duh!), and secondly because she was born during the night in the middle of one of the largest storms in decades. Amaya was not expected to make it long after she was born. There were several complications that came along with her birth.
The first complication was her appearance, unlike the others in the Uchiha clan Amaya was born with stark white hair and red colored eyes, traits of an albino which made her different from that very day forward from everyone else around her.
The second complication came from Amaya being very weak. She'd been born slightly earlier then expected, and because of this was very sickly as a child, and could tolerate to eat almost nothing at all: save for apples which she became fond of very early in life.
Thirdly, she also was almost impossible to get to sleep. For the first few years her sleeping patterns were backwards. She'd sleep during the day because of how strong the sunlight was to her red eyes, and be up all night long because she wasn't tired. This sort of pattern of sleep also made her a bit antisocial as she was always awake when most were sleeping, causing her to be slightly more withdrawn then others when it came to socializing: and adding to her lack of almost no friends at all.
Academy:
Amaya was almost not allowed to join the Academy given her health problems. It took a great deal of pleading with her mother and father for them to consider it, and even then it was going to be on a trial basis only: which happened only after her brother spoke up for her and told them how strong she had become during the months before.
Both had withheld from putting her through any sort of rigorous training due to her health conditions and thought the Academy was going to be a bit rough on her. But she was more then willing to put herself through all of that. Early on she'd decided that she wanted to be just like her big brother. With her goal set she was mentally prepared to through the agony that training was going to bring on. She put her mind into her study's as much as possible. What she was at first incapable of doing physically she made up for more then enough brain wise. She was dubbed a genius in her class, and even a teachers pet. Her hand was always the first into the air when a question was asked or a demonstration needed for one thing or another.
After seeing that she wasn't going to break so easily, and that the physical activity and pushing herself like she was was indeed making her healthier her father, Takeru Uchiha agreed to begin helping her train. It was around this time that it became clear of one very important thing; Amaya had a strong knack for Medical Ninjutsu. She excelled at it more then anything else. This was also when her elemental affinity's began to reveal themselves, fire and lightning.
Genin:
Amaya graduated from the Academy very young. Most looked down at her at first, thinking her far too young to be going on missions of any kind. She proved herself as quickly as she possibly could, proving to be a valuable asset to have on any squad. Her skills weren't questioned again after her very last mission as a Genin. Her squad was set to the task of escorting a man to another village. What the man had failed to inform everyone was of the real reason why he needed protection and from whom it was he was to be protected. Her squad was more then out numbered, but they pulled through. Thanks to Amaya's training having already begun in Medical Ninjutsu, and extensive research into medical techniques she was able to save the lives of two of her squad members that had been mortally wounded.
Chuunin:
Because of her impressive prowess on missions she quickly began to rise up through the ranks. Training harder and harder, despite a relapse into her sickness.
More missions would pass to where she'd more then prove herself. She was a beast when it came to the medical arts even more, and only more training and studying added to this. She was called into other squads to help for medical purposes when it was known her skills were going to be needed. Because of her special abilities she was raised up one more rank: all due to falling under the watchful eye of the current Hokage; Kenta.
Special Jounin:
The Hokage took special interest in her after several missions, and soon she was granted the title Special Jounin because of her work with Medical Ninjutsu after successfully completing several tests and tasks to absolutely prove her abilities.
From there she set herself out to be the best she could, and do exactly what was needed to do to help everyone else out as much as possible. She even volunteered and spent more than enough hours helping out at the hospital when not busy on missions or doing other things such as taking time to read up on more medical techniques.
Jounin:
Again Amaya found herself being promoted and labeled as the Hokage's own personal medic. Shortly before this she met his favorite cousin, Ashi, and the two became close. As the time passed Amaya continued to care of the ailing Kenta while at the same time growing an even closer bond with Ashi that formed into a love relationship: a sort of bonding that caused the Inuzuka to be overly protective against the Uchiha.
Within months of being in a relationship with Ashi Amaya became pregnant: however, due to all of the high levels of stress she lost the child. Before Amaya and Ashi could try again however they were back busy on missions, and Amaya was focusing even harder on Kenta as he became sick enough to end up in the hospital on more than one occasion.
Jounin (S):
WIth Kenta back up in health Amaya was promoted once again. However, shortly into this promotion the death of Kenta and Ashi occured, casting Amaya back into her silence that she forever held on to when she was a child. The butterfly she had become over the years turned back into the caterpillar: she became silent and withdrawn, choosing to be in only her brother's prescence and no one elses unless forced. She dealt over the years with her anger, learning to push it back or use it to focus on other goals and other things.
Soon time would tell if her anger was gone or not...
RP Sample: "Brother....!"
Amaya paused, waiting for some sort of answer or response that her elder brother was awake and moving in preparations of starting the morning. Of course, she didn't get one. Sighing she approached his door and raised her hand which was tightened into a fist. She knocked loudly against the wooden door five times in quick succession. "Come on, brother, wake up! We've got to get moving!"
Still she recieved no answer: not even a groan of agitation or the rustle of sheets being tugged on or a pillow being placed over her brother's head. In fact, there was nothing but complete and total silence on the other side of the door. She lowered her right hand, the same hand she had knocked with, down to the door knob and gave it a turn: half expecting it to be locked. The doorknob turned in response to her touch and the door opened soundlessly - apparently the hinges were well oiled.
The sight that greeted her was an empty but well made bed: her brother had already left, and likely a lot earlier than she had even awoken given the neatness of his room. "Damnit...", she muttered beneath her breath as she leaned forward and grasped the doorknob; tugging the door shut before turning away and heading into the kitchen. She didn't bother wasting time as she reached over to the bowl of fruit and retrieved and apple from it. She stuffed it into the pouch at her hip and then took off out the door, calling back a good-bye to her parents as the door closed behind her. She bent her knees and jumped up into the air, using the roofs of the various buildings within the village as her means of transportation as she jumped from one to another in the direction of the training grounds.
From roof top to roof top she jumped, landing and continuing on as she felt her adrenaline rushing. Her brother had already got a head-start on their training and she didn't want to be any later than she already was. Even the apple she had stuffed in her back was easily forgotten about, as was the small pang of hunger that hit her gut, as the training grounds came into view. With one last leap she launched herself off of the last building and onto the gate that surrounded the training grounds: she could see her brother in the distance. One more leap into the air and she was landing nearby her brother; dust and dirt rising up around her from the impact. "Brother! Why didn't you wake me up?" Hands went to her hips as she attempted to look at least a little irritated, but she knew it wouldn't work - they both knew she could never be angry with her brother, she followed him without question as was.
