She righted her sunglasses as she left the mission station, having taken them off so she could read what she was about to do; the tinted lenses became troublesome when she had to, well, actually see anything. Basic details were fine, but the coloring they made her look through always left her a bit dazed. Skipping happily, she made her way to the library where she had taken work- this mission was apparently rather popular, focusing on helping out the old librarian to stock and shelve the books. It was something Shion loved to do, and something she was quite excited about... though it'd be a hours of quiet.

Black boots clicked on the ground, skirt and jacket swaying in the light breeze gently decorating the colors of Niwaurushi; and a smile was wide on her ever-so-cheerful face, the grid tattoos on her cheeks scrunching up. It was a nice day all around, causing her no reason to be unhappy, of course. Though she did end up letting out a bit of a yawn, over-sized sleeve pulled up to cover her open mouth. She heard yells of greeting and 'how are you's' come from around her, random citizens she had befriended at random times. She waved back to each of them, returning their words in kind while not stepping off the path to the library for even a moment.

She made it to the building and knocked on the door, once, politely, before finding herself ushered inside by a rather sweet woman.


Her tone was stern, but friendly, the same feeling you'd get from a friend's mom or a rather nice teacher. "I'm happy to be of help, miss!! I love doing things like this!" Shion, as always, was a bundle of energy and friendliness, bouncing her way over to the crates of books that needed to be weeded and set around. "Where would you like me to start~?" She swung around next to the stacks, hands firmly pressed together behind her back and a wide, open grin stretching her face to its limits- eyes twinkling under her glasses that she had politely refused to take off when asked.

The librarian wasn't lying about it taking a few hours to do; it took approximately three, and involved more physical labor than Shi had actually done in years. By the end of it all her pig tails were dropping, face bright with perspiration and her smile a bit more faded than normal- she was exhausted to say the least. Illusions couldn't help you with work like this, and besides being helpful Shion was completely out of her element and had to drag herself through the last ten minutes. The hug and thanks the old woman gave her was enough to make it worth it to her in the end, along with the offer to come again sometime and share tea over a nice book- which Shion accepted, despite not being much of a reader.

She collected her bonus reward, the ryo given, and made her way home; brushing fingers through her bright hair and humming to herself along the sunset road.
