Aisling had set her and her brother up in a nice two bedroom apartment near the training grounds; the thing had even come fully stocked with brand new clothing, cabinets full of food as well as the fridge and freezer that were packed full, and the place was decked out comfortably. All in all the Hakage had made sure they were as comfortable as could be and well taken care of. It had all caused Hikari to smile in the end: she was glad to know goodness still abounded in the world.

What had all made it even better was the arrival of Shiro, her lemur friend, who had found her shortly after her and Kurai had been cleared by Aisling to leave the hospital. Shiro had made herself a comfortable bed in Hikari’s room; having found enough scrap material to make a hammock of sorts that she was all too comfortable in.

At the moment, though, neither Hikari nor the lemur was home. Hikari had given a good look at the village before choosing a nice quiet spot in one of the various training grounds. She wanted to make sure she could still do everything she remembered; and also wanted to check in case there was anything she happened to be forgetting.

Hikari had dressed rather warmly for this because she wasn’t quite sure how much Niwaurushigakure’s temperature fluctuated. Therefore she was dressed in a black tank top with a black jacket over top: the jacket had on the back of it the Yanagi clan symbol – both the tank and the jacket went roughly halfway down her thighs. Black leggings covered her legs, and black shinobi sandals. Her shaggily cut shoulder length hair was back in a ponytail and she wore a black cloth over her useless eyes; wanting to allow it to match her outfit. Her hands were covered in black fingerless gloves: Boom Boom Gloves.

At the moment Hikari had tagged several of the boulders around her with the gloves; slapping explosive seals on them. When she jumped back and out of the way she set off the explosive seals; causing the boulders to explode.

Spook was sitting near the top of a nearby tree within the branches. So that's how its done then, he thought, while the new girl below decided to see if she still had it. He'd spent a while changing how he looked and getting used to being able to control the Symbiote. He'd also found out how it would protect him in danger by throwing several kunai and quickly moving into it's line of fire. The Symbiote would even go so far as to prevent him from doing harm to himself, since it needed him to remain alive after all.

Spook spent a while jumping through the branches of the trees, swinging the Ancestor Katana. It was heavier than his Black-Hand sword, and Spook wanted to adjust to the weight. He found that the sword had a special effect for all of his elements, something that would come in handy when faced with multiple opponents. Spook also got practice in firing the Ancestor's folding bow as well, finding that it too had special enhancements when firing projectiles.

There were other treasures in the Ancestor's bag, such as books of knowledge on building magical weapons and an Explosive tech, both of which he read back to front the last couple of days, and this strange gauntlet on his right arm which for some strange reason attached itself to him. His right arm's skin grew a little darker around it, but there wasn't any pains. There was also the matter of the 2 diamond shapes in his right hand. The research he'd done told of a clan from an unknown country with a specialty called Dark Release.

So he wanted to try something. He jumped out of the tree and landed below in the grass. After forming hand signs, Spook released a tremendous Katon technique, the Great Dragon Fire jutsu. There was a large fireball in the shape of a dragon's head formed, traveling in a harmless upward arch where, if left unchecked, it would eventually fade out and vanish. Spook took off running immediately after firing the technique, moving so swiftly that he seemed to just become a blur, leaving ripples behind in the grass. He jumped between several trees and then straight up, into the path of the oncoming fireball.

Great Dragon Fire:

It looked like Spook was trying to take himself out with one of his own moves, but when the Fireball came close, he outstretched his right hand. The large fiery projectile was absorbed into a purple light that began to shine from the diamond shapes in his palm. The entire projectile was sucked into the gauntlet. Spook flipped once and landed on his feet again. He stood up straight and looked to his smoking right arm. "Hunh... Interesting."

After the boulders exploded Hikari put her hands on her hips and grinned while staring at the destructive damage she had done. She was pleased to see that her favorite weapons still worked just as they used to. But, now it was time to see if she still had it jutsu wise: always better to be safe than sorry after all. However, before she could start practicing her explosion release techniques she caught movement through her chakra radar: something she hadn’t really been focused on since she was busy practicing.

Her head jerked in the direction of Spook automatically, even though she couldn’t see him with her ordinary useless eyes. Before she could say hello she watched as he launched some sort of fire dragon and then jumped in front of it. Horror flooded through Hikari for a moment as she prayed to herself that she still had the ability to heal as well as she used to when she saw that… well, he wasn’t hurt. She wasn’t quite sure exactly how he managed to absorb the attack but he had.

Taking a deep, calming breath she relaxed again. “Hello again. You startled me; I wasn’t quite sure what I was going to say to the Hakage if you had gotten hurt right in front of me.” She turned her head back in the direction of the boulders she had destroyed; the ground was now covered with the dust remains of those boulders. “I was checking to make sure all of my gear was in working order… I’m not sure when my brother will want to leave to try and find our parents, and I don’t plan on staying behind – its’ always good to have a medic after all.”

"...Sorry if I scared you... Don't worry about Aisling, she's used to the crazy things I do..."

Spook's arm continued to smoke as long as he had his own Katon technique absorbed. He made sure to turn away from her when he released the jutsu again, pointing his palm upward. The flaming head flew off into the distances and turned to smoke after traveling through the cool air so long. A convenient technique to have against some jutsu happy shinobi.

"Good luck," Spook said in response to them possibly leaving to go and find their family. He was no one to get in the way of that and say something like they weren't allowed to leave. "Hope you two find your people. I still have questions that i'll probably never get answered, but I think perhaps I was supposed to meet you two."

Spook didn't know about omens or fate or anything like that, and he still couldn't figure out who's voice it was when he first bonded with the Symbiote. The less he thought about why he was suddenly gifted with many powerful treasures from a random Ancestor though, the easier it was to deal with. He'd pretty much mastered the use of all of his new toys at this point.
