This bond is much like being able to look through the others eyes; all thoughts, perceptions, emotions, are open to the viewing of each other within this bond.
Appearance!
Height: 4'8
Weight: 85 Pounds
Hair Color: White / Long
Eye Color: Violet
General Description: Unmei's build is very thin and lanky, giving her an almost sickly appearance although she is completely healthy: it is simply a trait from belonging to the Malkavian clan who possess more mental aspects then physical. Her skin is deathly pale - mostly due to her natural belief that the sun is a bad thing - and the only thing paler and more white than her flesh would be her white colored hair that goes down to her back, with only her bangs cut short to allow her to be able to see easier: and which reveal her violet colored eyes. Her hair is normally left down with a simple black ribbon tied around it to help hold it back, the ribbon always tied in some sort of bow at the top of her head.
Her style of dress is simple; dark colors and as much covered flesh as possible. She favors knee length dusters, black in color, and made out of soft cotton materials with some sort of collared undershirt beneath this. Skirts are also a favorite, black in color, with leggings underneath to help keep her warm and more covered than she otherwise would be. Feet can normally be found snuggled into either a pair of boots or if the weather is warmer shinobi sandals, all of which of course are black in color.
About You!
Personality: How do you describe someone who is so incurably insane it isn't even funny? Well, I guess that would be a good place to start. There's hardly anything left of Unmei's personality that could be considered 'normal'. While a normal human being tends to avoid - at all costs - angering most people, including those who are far bigger and stronger physically than them, Unmei gets off on it almost. There's an extremely sick sort of satisfaction that she gets off of watching someone turn from shades of pink, to red, to even purple as she continuously bugs them into flipping out. There is just an overall appeal she gets from watching someone get so angry they can no longer control their own actions.
With that being said Unmei herself is almost too calm of a person. It's more than just an emotionless mask that most ninja tend to perfect at some point in their life. This goes far beyond that. Unmei's emotions themselves are unaffected by mostly everything that happens: which only her family such as her twin capable of witnessing her showing anything more than that passive mask. Someone could out-right strike her and she would never show anger over it, and would in fact keep the same remaining - slightly psychotic looking - smile on her face, as if she were more amused than anything else. That isn't to say she wouldn't harm them back in some way - usually with that smile still on her face - but their actions would simply be unable to cause her to feel anger.
Now, on the other extreme, any sort of anger that could be triggered within Unmei would have to be done so by pain, death, or the threat of either being performed on or to a member of her family or someone she considers such. However, this 'anger' isn't anger, but pure blind rage. A rage so intense that she is almost incapable of snapping out of it once it has begun, and not until the person who has triggered the emotion is dead will it be satisfied enough to be replaced with her normal emotions.
Along with all of this goes Unmei's very black and white view of the world; meaning simply her views on what is right and what is wrong. Twisted, though they are. While most find murder to be a sin, with a penalty of death, Unmei looks deeper than just the crime itself; she looks into their motivations. Then, and only then, will she pass such a judgment. If someone where to steal food, say for their family, she would look to that as a more 'good' thing, than bad.
Unmei also has a very artistic side to herself, which only helps her in seeing the world through different views. Giving her the ability to think outside of the box if you will.
Likes: One of Unmei's most favorite things to do in her free time outside of spending time with her twin is to play any sort of game that is made especially to test ones brain power. Brain teases, and the like. She can fascinate herself for hours doing one after another, without tiring.
Another of Unmei's many enjoyments is the mixing of alcoholic beverages. While she of course is too young to consume them - and wouldn't want to anyway as the idea of an intoxicant is less then pleasing for her - she does enjoy mixing them up and watching them turns varying shades of wonderful colors; this enjoyment is only enhanced when someone enjoys them after she is finished with her creation.
Speaking of creations; Unmei also gets a great deal of enjoyment from drawing and painting. Finally, knowledge seeking would have to be one of her last big likes. She could go days without much sleep, or eating, if she has a good book in front of her. While her favorites involve history and war, she is not above reading a good fictional story; though she favorites those with battle in them most of all.
Dislikes: Nothing gets under Unmei's skin more than someone threatening her family. No matter who they are, it's just something she cannot tolerate to any sort of degree. This boils down into more of a dislike; into an outright hatred of the person. Even if the threat is something mild, non-deadly, she will still react as if someone threatened the life of her loved one.
There are a few more things in Unmei's life that she has a severe dislike towards, though nothing near enough to consider it a hatred. Unmei dislikes romance novels greatly. Anything overly mushy or smutty tends to agitate her to the point of getting this little tick above her left eye. This extends to those she sees out and about who are dressed in less than appropriate clothing. Unmei feels that ones body should be treated as a temple, and so reveal so much of yourself is to disrespect yourself. She's usually not above insulting these people to the point of making them feel uncomfortable and changing their behavior or clothing choice; depending on what Unmei has told them off for.
Another dislike for Unmei is when she feels this sort of hollow emptiness that comes with finishing a good book. It's almost the sort of emotion one would feel over the death of a friend or loved one; one of despair and longing. Because of this she usually tends to gravitate towards books that have an actual series; this way she doesn't have to end her 'friendship' with the character so soon after it begins.
Motivations: Unlike most people who can consider money a motivation, Unmei does not. In fact, she finds little use for the stuff. Her motivation tends to stem from something far deeper and darker in origin; the idea of always becoming stronger and more powerful. Though, this isn't for the normal motivation of wanting to rule over something or someone. This takes a different path, to one of the idea that as long as she stays stronger and more powerful than her enemies she can always continue to keep her family and loved ones safe. She will use this motivation to push herself to train for hours without food or sleep, usually until she ends up succumbing anyway - which has led in several cases for her to drop like a stone right where she was standing moments before.
Another motivation comes from her brother; and the fact that she wishes to please him with her abilities and actions. She wants to be the sister she feels he deserves to have, albeit a slightly twisted and sometimes sadistic one. This goes into an extreme in a way because her brother could tell her to go murder a whole village for him and she would do it without hesitation, or die trying: the up most loyalty.
Fears: What is there to fear but fear itself? The idea of failure only causes fear in the idea of her being unable to protect those she loves; but even that goes so much deeper than just fear. It becomes a physical pain that manifests a rage beyond comprehension. A rage, that only when it is satisfied and has left her, would indeed leave her as an empty shell of a person. There really can't be anything else listed that Unmei fears; given her rather insane qualities that allow her to see past the fears a normal person would have. Even the fear of her own death or an intense amount of pain has little to no hold over her, giving her the ability to charge into a battle without hesitation; even if the odds are stacked highly against her - something that normally instills fear into the hearts of those she is facing off with. Something that tends to cause most to flee in terror, vomit, or otherwise piss themselves when faced with it.
History: Ah yes, the Malkavian Twins. Or so that was how their neighbors referred to them since the time Unmei and her older brother - by all of five minutes - Ushio had been born. Their parents? Nameless to almost anyone referring to them, though they went by Shi (Death) and Itami (Pain).
Shi and Itami were rather eccentric when it came to raising their children: they left them for the majority of the time to do what they liked, and the twins preferred it as such. From the time the pair could walk they were getting into mischief: anything from drowning the neighbors cat in a bucket - something that Ushio had done after the cat had attacked his sister - to sneaking into the neighbors house and putting salt in the sugar bowl and sugar in the salt shakers which Unmei was famous for.
When people came to complain their parents simply laughed; entertained as much as the children were by the mischief being caused.
As the twins grew older they became closer; and it became rather clear rather quickly that the only person Unmei had emotionally bonded to was her twin: even her parents were easily able to be brushed off as if she barely knew them at all.
When the twins entered into the academy they excelled - at least when they wanted to. They became known for going weeks of top notch work, turning homework in on time, to suddenly refusing to do any work at all, or even speak for that matter - though they continued to learn even if they acted as if they weren't. And homework? That was fed to the dog - and by no means was a lie, as they were plenty strays running around who would eat the stuff after some sort of honey or other such substance was put on it. They were known for their pranks on students and teachers alike, and any sort of punishment handed out never bothered them.
Shortly into being in the Academy the "Incident" as the neighbors called it happened. The twins had learned a great deal by that point and were feeling bored. Simply exercises and practices and graphs were not enough. Perhaps it was because they were always insane, or perhaps boredom had finally taken its toll but the pair of twins for no reason other than simple curiosity waited until nightfall one night before carving into their parents. By the time the smell of the blood had alerted anyone to something being wrong it was already too late for the twins parents. The twins were found standing over their bodies with several organs around them which had been cut out, and then cut to pieces. When asked who had done such a thing, as people refused to believe two eight year olds could do such a thing, the twins simply answered them with nothing but silence and smiles.
Afterwards the twins were sent to the orphanage after it became apparent that no one was interested in taking care of them. Eventually even the orphanages didn't want them and they were, upon graduating the Academy, returned to the home their parents lived in and informed they were allowed to live there.
After that... well, that's when the story of the life of two Genin Malkavian Twins begins to unfold...
RP Sample: Her eye twitched as she watched the two little girls who were playing with dolls and talking to them. They were pretending, she knew that. They didn't have the mental connection to things that the Malkavian clan was famous for. And this, in itself, was what pissed her off. It was something so simple and so small and yet it caused a full blown rage to rise up in her.
Her smile turned into a frown as her hands balled into fists; she wasn't going to hit them, oh no, she was going to mind fuck them into pissing themselves. She stormed off, purposely stomping her feet and making enough sound to be noticed. The two girls looked up and into her violet colored gaze: and it was all over from there. Her frown turned into a wicked grin.
'Bingo!', she thought to herself, priding herself on how easy it was to get the girls to seal their fate. Eye contact was made, and the Genjutsu was unleashed, throwing the girls into a mental hell of which there was no escape - at least until Unmei got bored with them... she always got bored eventually. Looks of terror crossed the girls faces and a wicked giggle slipped out of Unmei.
'Oh yes, this is going to be fun...', she found herself thinking.
