Clan History:
It'd be a crime against nature, quite literally, if the clan using Kumoton wasn't in Kumogakure. So that's where they are, where they were born and where they grew up, and where they will remain for their days. It's a genetic thing; everyone in the clan, for some reason, is born with both the water and wind chakra natures... as well as the advanced cloud one. Since the first member of this clan, the first Botomusora, was brought into this world it has been this way.

Obviously enough every member of the clan tends to be calm, easygoing and a good mediator. They're not huge fighters- not that they won't if it's needed but rather they're not ones to go around and start them. They are a very strongly united and central force within Kumo and their title as "mediators" isn't unfounded. Many small-scale wars and troubles between Kumo and another nation have been diffused by the Botomusora's negotiations and explanations.

You have this clan to thank for the particularly cloudy but not humid days; specifically the days that are great for picnics. Their main goal is to spread happiness and peace no matter how corny that sounds. You won't ever find a bloodthirsty or hateful Botomusora. If you're ever having a problem, whether it be personal or political, they are the ones to go to. It is said that all members of this clan make great and longtime friends.

Kekkei Genkai: Kumoton (Cloud Release)
Kekkei Genkai Description: An advanced nature release that allows the creation and manipulation of clouds. Using this, the clan member can create clouds made of air and water that are wool-like and cushion-y. This substance allows the seemingly harmless clouds to be turned into something suitable for use in combat. They also have another purpose; all clouds created have just enough moisture in them for a water-based jutsu of the same rank. This allows for (hopefully) amazing conjunctions between Kumoton and Suiton jutsu! Also, despite being more dense than a non-chakra enfused cloud, they can be just as light-weight; allowing the use of floating on one with the right specifications. Throw in some wind techniques and you have yourself a sort-of flying cloud.
Drawbacks:

• Unless you get creative with how you use it, cloud release isn't great for offensive purposes.
  
• While the cushion of the dense clouds is great for repelling taijutsu and kyujutsu, kenjutsu cuts through it like butter.
  
• ^Same structure as above, but with elemental releases. Doton is easily defended against with this form while Raiton... More or less destabilizes the chakra and blows it to pieces.
  
• All Raiton jutsu does +1 more rank in damage against the clouds formed by this clan.
  
• All jutsu must be created in the mouth and formed by blowing the chakra out. This is due to the fact that this is where the fuuton and suiton chakra is combined to make kumoton. Therefore, covering the Botomusora ninja's mouth is great way to effectively cancel out their kekkai genkai release.

**Note: All rules apply to same rank or higher/lower techniques, depending. Kenjutsu and Raiton counter cloud release only if same rank or higher, while Tai, Kyu, Doton are only protected wholly against when same rank or lower.

Description: One of the most simple jutsu in the Botomusora arsenal, Bubble is just what it sounds like. Forming handsigns and then blowing out of their mouth the user is able to create a large sphere of fluffy, spongy cloud. This can be used as a cushion for a fall but can only support the weight of a single person. Doton, Taijutsu and Kyujutsu of the same rank or lower will bounce harmlessly off of this creation; while Raiton and Kenjutsu of the same rank or higher will destroy it. (Applies to the rank of the jutsu, not the ninja.)

Description: Expelling a dense stream of cloud from their mouth, the user of this jutsu can create a wall of soft protection three meters across and up to five meters away from themselves. All non-chakra enchanced/basic physical movements and attacks against the wall are repelled and the offenders are sent back two meters. Doton, Taijutsu and Kyujutsu of the same rank or lower will bounce harmlessly off of this creation the same as above; while Raiton and Kenjutsu of the same rank or higher will destroy it. (Applies to the rank of the jutsu, not the ninja.)
