Mission Taken - Mailman:

Hikari was beginning to think that the mailman wasn't so much sick as he was wanting a nice long vacation; assumptions since she hadn't seen him, but he had just been sick last week when she was asked to cover his deliveries and now she was being asked again. However, she wasn't about to say no and pass up on the Ryo she was going to earn for doing this - let alone the fact that it was helping out someone in the village even if the reasons for said help were lies. Again, assumptions.

She took the letters, already knowing the route to Xan, Lee, and Miz, meaning she didn't have to ask for directions. Besides, with her Shinsai improved far more than it had been the last time she was getting more details on everything; including the buildings in which the three lived.

She traveled down the road, heading to Xan's house first and hoping that he would be there. She moved around the people heading in late to the market, careful not to trip over anything as she walked or otherwise stub her toe on anything - the perils of being a Yanagi. Soon she reached Xan's home and walked up the path to his door and knocked. She could hear movement inside and the sound of a cane being used as Xan walked to the door and opened it. She handed over the letter to him with a smile.

"Mailman is sick again, eh? Bleah, I think he just likes getting you to cover his route for him, child.", Xan grumbled with a slight chuckle before stepping inside and closing the door. 

Huh, weird, since that had been exactly what Hikari was thinking too. She turned and walked back down the path and headed towards Lee's house next. It was down towards the end of Xan's street, so it didn't take her long at all to reach it. She walked up the path that led to his door and knocked. She could hear voices inside, yelling and arguing. However, she couldn't hear any footsteps to the door. She raised her right hand again and knocked once more, but still no answer. Frowning even further she bent down and slid the letters under the door for Lee, figuring that someone would stumble across them sooner or later when they were finished fighting.

On to Miz's house which was right next door she went. She walked up the path towards Miz's door only to sense the female outback through Shinsai. She followed the path in that direction as the fragrance of fresh flowers reached her nose: Miz was tending her garden. "Hello, Miz. I have a letter for you."

"Oh? Go ahead and slip it into my apron for me child, I don't want my hands getting the thing all dirty and I'm covered in much.", Miz asked nicely, and Hikari did just that. She then gave a wave goodbye as she was thanked and walked back up the path and onto the street; heading to go turn in on her mission accomplished and get her payment for playing mailman once more.
