| Hikari turned her face towards the heat that she could feel pouring in through her bedroom window: the sun had risen up taking with it the nights mild chill. She reached her right hand up and itched for a moment at the white strip of silk cloth she was now using to cover her eyes: it was going to take some getting used to but at least it would work as a reminder for her to keep her eyes closed while using the chakra radar. She had switched from the black cloth to the white one after finding the new outfit spread out on her bed that she was assuming her mother had bought with her.
Hikari stretched when she was finished itching at the cloth around her eyes and then focused for a moment on her own private bathroom; a shower was going to be needed before she set out to do the training she had been up half of the night planning for. She had a total of seven jutsu she felt she needed to learn right away; and others to learn when those seven were complete. She also had other things to learn: such as putting faces to the people she knew, learning the various animals and birds that inhabited the trees of the village, and other basic things. A lot of knowledge needed packed into her brain and it was likely going to take days if not weeks to do, but she was willing to go through the motions to get it completed.
She rubbed her eyes sleepily through the cloth and then sat up. Toes wiggled as she placed her feet on the cold wooden floor of her bedroom. Once she stood back up she stretched again and then turned around and made quick work of making her bed: she wasn't going to take advantage of the simple tasks she could now easily do for herself. Once that task was completed she snatched up the new outfit that her mother had bought her: a white top with a color that would go up around her neck that had long sleeves but which would show her mid-drift. The shirt made out of light material that would keep her from over heating and which had a black strip that went down the front. A pair of shorts accompanied this top with a black waist band with the rest of the short being white and going about halfway down her thighs, and a pair of white open toed shinobi sandals. The white was in honor of her learning medical ninjutsu as the braille note that her mother had left her stated: and she couldn't be happier with her gift.
With her outfit in hand she slipped into her bathroom and closed the door. After starting the shower she stripped out of her bed clothes and then stepped in. After a thorough wash of her body and hair which took all of ten minutes she stepped back out of the shower after shutting the water off. She towel dried herself off and her hair before slipping into her fresh and clean outfit. She ran a brush through her hair after towel drying it more and then placed two pig-tail styled buns in her hair on the sides of her head while leaving the rest of her hair down.
Now that she was clean she stepped out of the bathroom and walked across her room. She stopped in front of her dresser and tied her headband to her left arm and the pouch of her weapons to her right leg: she didn't think she would need her weapons, or at least hoped that she wouldn't, but she was never going to go un-prepared again. She adjusted the white cloth around her eyes and once it was situated she picked up the small shoulder bag that was filled with scrolls containing the medical ninjutsu techniques she wanted to learn. Once she had everything she was going to need she walked out of the room and into the kitchen. She reached for the fruit bowl and pulled out an orange as she sat herself down at the table.
She used her thumb to peel the orange while thinking back to the first jutsu she wanted to learn: chakra scalpel. It was a jutsu that would come in handy for many different reasons: it would allow her to create scalpels with nothing but chakra which in itself was far cleaner than even a sterilized scalpel could get, and it would give her an edge with close combat - hand to hand fighting.

| With her orange now peeled she picked off a slice of the orange sphere and popped it into her mouth. As she chewed the delicious fruit piece she thought of exactly how she was going to go about learning chakra scalpel. It wasn't, after all, like she could exactly practice on someone with it. While she didn't enjoy the idea of having to experiment on an animal it was better than going out and trying to find a random human to train on. Though, if she could think of another way to practice then she would be all for it. She popped another slice of the orange into her mouth and chewed and swallowed this one as well, all while continuing to think up a plan. There was a small pond in their backyard that was filled with fresh water fish: and she knew that medics often trained on fish due to the ease in which it could be accomplished - tradition as it was. She could do the same without much of an issue: and given she already knew how to use Mystical Palm Technique she could heal the fish of whatever she did to it so long as she didn't kill it.
With her new plan in mind she finished off her orange and then got up from the table. She pushed her chair in with her hip and then threw her orange peel into the garbage. She walked to the sink when finished and rinsed off her hands so that they wouldn't be sticky from the juices of the orange. She then snagged an apple out of the fruit bowl for later and headed out the back door and into the backyard: at least with her staying this close to the house no one would have to worry about her - she still hadn't informed her mother and father that she could see yet, she just hadn't had a chance. She still didn't know what to think about how angry her brother had seemed to be at her yesterday, but she wasn't going to dwell on it: she needed all of the focus she could get on the task that was at hand.
Once outside she walked over to the pond and sat down her bag on a nearby decorative rock. She sat herself down on the grass nearby at the very edge of the pond. Through her new chakra radar she could easily see the beautiful fish swimming around inside of the water, completely oblivious to her presence there or what she was about to do to them: it was almost enough to cause her to change her mind... almost, but not quite enough. Especially as she reminded herself that this was how learning medical ninjutsu had been done for centuries, and that if she were going to help her village like she wanted to then she was going to have to do things that she normally wouldn't.
She thought back to the chakra scalpel information she knew and pulled out the scroll to refresh her memory. She ran her fingers across the bumps gently as she read despite the fact that she could now see. This medical technique forms one's chakra into a small, sharp blade. This can then be used for highly accurate incisions necessary for surgeries and anatomical dissections. Unlike regular scalpels, the chakra scalpel can actually make cuts inside the body without actually creating an open wound, limiting the risks of an infection. The chakra scalpel can also be used offensively, although it requires great precision to be effective. Because of this requirement, using the chakra scalpel offensively is highly unusual. In heated combat, even the greatest medical-nin won't be able to exert the precision needed to make fatal cuts, but it can still effectively cut muscle tissues and tendons, rendering the target immobile. Adding to the technique's blade like quality, it also appears to give the user an increased level of durability over their chakra clad hands.
With the knowledge once more fresh in her mind she turned her attention back to the pond filled with fish: picking out a red colored fish that was swimming around. She stuck her hand in the water but didn't make a grab for it. She simply kept her hand inside of the water and waited, allowing the fish to get used to her presence in the water with them. It took several minutes, but soon the fish were swimming by her hand as if were simply part of their natural habitat. She concentrated chakra into her hand in the water, focusing on solidifying it and making it sharp. After she was sure she was doing what was needed she concentrated on the red fish that was beginning to make its way to her hand. As soon as the fish got close to her she cut it with the chakra scalpel: slicing it internally and not externally. However, she was sure she had done it properly when the fish suddenly moved as if injured and lost its ability to swim. She focused healing chakra into her hands next healing the wound as quickly as possible that she had left in the fish: the fish swam off the moment it had the chance and avoided her as much as it could in the small pond - at least for the time being.

| Now that she was sure she had chakra scalpel down well enough to use when it was needed she removed her hand from the water and gave it a shake. Water droplets were flung from her fingers which caused for a moment the top of the pond to look like it was raining: which caused the fish to scatter and react up until it stopped, which was when they calmed back down again and continued on with their peaceful lives as if nothing was happening - or was about to happen.
She chuckled and shook her head before rolling the chakra scalpel scroll back up and returning it to her bag. Once that was finished she searched around for the next she wanted to learn: Delicate Illness Extraction. Once she located it she pulled it out of her back and scooted back away from the pond a little ways. She unrolled the scroll and looked it over carefully with her chakra radar before she then rain her fingers along the braille: reading it. When a person has been afflicted by a pathogen or toxin, this medical ninjutsu can be used to draw out the agent and heal the damage. The cause of the illness is first determined by perceiving disturbances in the patient's chakra. Then, using a chakra scalpel, an incision is made near the affected part. Using their chakra, the medical-nin pushes a large volume of a medicinal fluid through the incision. The fluid then draws the poison out of the affected part(s) and serves as a medium through which the poison is suspended and then forced out of the person's body. This technique thus removes the poison, while simultaneously repairing the damage caused by the poison. After the agent is drawn out, it can be used to create an antidote or medicine after it has been analyzed. This can then be given to the patient to ensure a complete recovery. This technique requires the utmost care and ability in diagnosis, incising and unmatched chakra control. Therefore, it is considered an extremely difficult technique, even among medical ninjutsu.
With the knowledge fresh in her mind she sat back and thought carefully on how exactly she was going to train this: she didn't know anyone who was sick, and short of poisoning something or someone it was going to be hard. Again she looked over to the fish, frowning slightly as she thought about how to do all of this. There was some native toxic plants nearby that she could attempt to feed to the fish or inject it somehow after she ground the poison up enough to make it into a liquid. Yes... that would have to be exactly how she did this. She was going to have to make a poison, poison one of the fish in the pond without poisoning the entire pond, and then remove the illness from the fish with the jutsu. If she didn't succeed the first time... well, the amount of fish in the pond were going to drastically decrease. Still, better this way than to practice on an actual human being - especially if she accidentally screwed up somehow.

| She got up and after dusting off her outfit she moved over to the small garden she had planted before leaving for Yokuchi: given the soil and the constant warm temperature she already had some plants growing that would do the trick. They were mild poisons, ones that for a human would cause nothing more than a stomach ache and mild discomfort: though she had taken the time to rope the area off and put in warning signs in case her family had come to explore them - this way none of them would end up ill. Plus, she had ensured that that section of the garden was completely separate from the rest to further prevent any oops from happening. She had planned on sectioning off part of her room later on for the more dangerous plants she wished to grow, study, and eventually turn into poisons, but for now this was going to do. She grabbed her mortar and pestle from the stones nearby where it sat and then plucked several leaves off of one of the more toxic plants. She placed it into the bowl and got to work on grinding it up. A bead of sweat moved down her hairline, absorbed by the white cloth before it could trail down her face, but she paid it no mind.
She kept grinding away at the leaves until she was sure the powder was fine enough to feed to one of the fish in the pond. Once she was satisfied with the fine powder she had created she got up and went back over to the pond with the morter and pestle. She added a few drops of water from the pond once she was situated back into her spot again and then began to mix the powder up with the liquid until it was a consistent enough and thin enough paste. Once this process was completed she reached into her pack and pulled out a tiny syringe. She uncapped it and placed the tip of it into the paste she had created. She pulled the plunger back, causing the syringe to fill with the poison. Once she had about five milliliters of the poison in the syringe, which she calculated would be more than enough to do what needed, and leaned over the pond. Once the red fish swam by she struck fast and hard; she slammed the fish against the inside ponds stone wall which caused it to be stunned. WIthout wasting any time she injected the poison into the fish: and instantly it began to show signs of the infection.
It started to lose its color; turning from a vibrant red into something extremely dull. Using her freshly acquired chakra scalpel she focused on the area of the fish she had injected the poison into. She pushed her chakra into it, using her chakra to grab hold of the toxin and then pull it out. She pulled the toxin out and placed it back into the mortar with the pestle: all before finishing the process that would cause the fish to heal.
She released her hold on the fish and sat back, watching as its bright and vibrant red color returned to it, signifying it was healed again: and that she had just successfully used the Delicate Illness Extraction technique. Another excellent jutsu down.

| Once more it was time to decide on the next medical ninjutsu she was going to learn for the day: however, it was also time for a bit of a break. She glanced up at the sky to notice that the sun was directly above her which meant that it was noon already. She couldn't believe so much time had passed since she had started all of this training but the sun and the noon warmth were more than evident enough.
She reached into her bag and pulled out the apple she had picked up from the fruit basket on the table all those hours ago when she was seated there for breakfast. She rubbed the apple against her pant leg until it shined and then brought the thing to her mouth. When she bit into it it created a crisp crack of a sound. She chewed the bite she had taken slowly and stared into the pond. When she swallowed the bite she had taken she took another bite of her delicious red apple. As she sat there eating the fruit she thought of what she wanted to learn next: so far she could heal, create a scalpel made entirely out of her own chakra, and even remove poisons, toxins, and illnesses from people. But, she still had no way outside of creating medicine to deal with people who were in pain. Sometimes it took a while to heal someone and having them in pain the entire time simply wouldn't do. So, the next logical step would be to learn Chakra Anesthetic. It would give her the ability to numb the wounded area well enough for other things to be preformed.
As she continued to eat away at the apple in her left hand she used her right to fish the appropriate scroll out of her bag. Once she was sure she had the right one she unrolled it out on her lap and ran her fingers along it slowly as she read. This jutsu acts as an anesthetic. As the user places his/her hands on the victim the chakra coats the caster's hands, the part touched and any part the hands are held over are numbed. The area within the touch will not feel any pain for the duration of the jutsu. After touching the area the user can lift his/her hands off the place and that area will still feel numb. This jutsu's effectiveness depends on the amount of chakra used on the affected sight: the more chakra used the larger and deep an area can be numbed.
As she finished reading she finished her apple and she turned slightly to take aim at the garbage can situated by the door. She tossed the apple core into the garbage where it spun around the inside before dropping down within: a perfect shot. She then turned her attention back to the scroll she had been reading and after rolling it back up she slipped it back into her bag: still wondering how she was going to go about learning this medical ninjutsu and once more staring into the small pond in the backyard; watching the fish swim around, even though the red one she had experimented on twice was now avoiding swimming near the area of grass she was seated upon.

| Once more it seemed like her only option was going to be to test her newest medical ninjutsu out on one of the fish in the pond - perhaps a different one than the red one that was still avoiding swimming near where she sat. She took a deep breath and then sighed softly. This was going to be slightly more difficult than the medical ninjutsu she had preformed before hand simply because fish couldn't well... scream, or give any indication that they were in pain. Which meant she was going to have to go off of other signs: such as the way they moved when injured and feeling pain compared to the way that they moved when not injured or otherwise not in pain. It would have to do: at least until something or someone else came along who was willing to allow her to try it on them.
She thought of exactly what she wanted to do: she could of course simply hit the fish with a rock or something along those lines but there would be no real indication of the amount of damage she had done to the fish or the amount of pain the fish was in, but if she were to use her chakra scalpel ability then she would be able to see the cut and exactly how deep it had gone. Which, would help her see how well this jutsu was going to work with wounds that were both shallow and deep. Yes, this was what she was going to do until she was sure what she was doing worked.
Of course, she was going to pick a different fish; or victim as the case was. She spotted an orange fish that was beginning to come around and slowly slipped her hand into the water in such a way as to not disturb the water or startle the fish. The orange fish moved closer to inspect her hand and then darted off to the other side of the small pond wearily. Hikari remained patient however as she waited for the fish to return. Soon enough it did so, coming back to her hand which hadn't moved in a short while and beginning to inspect it once more. That was when Hikari struck with chakra scalpel; cutting a deep gash within the fish. The fish attempted to swim away as the wound began to bleed but to no avail; it wasn't going anywhere in the amount of pain that it was in.
With the fish subdued she concentrated on the next part of her task: she coated her hands with chakra and lightly hovered them right over the fishes wound. She was slow and steady as she poured the needed amount of chakra into the deep and long gash. At first nothing seemed to happen as the fish continued to move itself in a way that one could easily tell meant it was in pain. However, as Hikari poured more and more chakra into the fish it eventually began to move normally - although the wound was still very much there. After another few seconds it attempted to swim away as if it weren't injured at all, or at least couldn't feel the injury that had been inflicted upon it. With a grin across her face HIkari quickly poured healing chakra via her mystical palm technique into the fish; healing it of the damage that she had inflicted as the wound seemed to go in reverse that she had inflicted on the fish.
Once free from her grasp her latest fishy victim swam off in a quick dart towards the other side of the pond; joining the red fish that was continuing to avoid her. Good thing there were a lot of fish left in the pond... she was pissing them off right and left today. Now that she knew exactly how to use the jutsu she found herself wondering exactly how far she could stretch it at her current level of skill: and the best way to tell was to use it on someone who could speak, and since she was the only one around, she figured she would simply use the jutsu on herself.

| Hikari gave a shake of the hand that had been in the water, causing water droplets to go flying off in random directions but causing her over all hand to actually dry faster than it would have otherwise. Once her hand was dry enough she thought about where exactly she wanted to try this technique at on herself. She had up to that point in time not used any medical ninjutsu on herself, and other than when she had been badly burned in Yokuchi and had been healed by Holeman's mystical palm technique, she had never had medical ninjutsu used on herself period. But, if she was going to be using it on other people than she had to be more than willing to have it used on herself: and to know what it felt like so she could warn people - especially because people tended to fear medics simply because they didn't know how they did the things that they could do.
Figuring that her leg was likely the best target for the moment since she had no intentions of getting up right away she hovered her right hand over the bottom half of her leg and concentrated on the same chakra she had used previously on the fish. She poured more and more chakra into her leg as she felt the numbing effects begin to work. A little chakra being used simply numbed a small portion of her leg, but as she poured more and more in until she could use no more she realized that she could numb her leg up to three inches deep and as wide as seven inches: which was more than enough for right now and would definitely come in handy if she were to need to use it. She stopped pouring chakra into her own leg and leaned back on her hands as she waited for her leg to regain feeling. Even as she poked it every so often she couldn't feel a thig - at least not until nearly five minutes later when her leg finally stopped being numb.
She straightened her legs out and got to thinking about what else she wanted to learn next, all while taking note of the massive amounts of chakra she had already used and the toll that in itself was beginning to take. It made her think of one of her lower ranked medical techniques; a healing medical ninjutsu that wasn't as powerful as mystical palm technique but that would allow her to heal smaller and less serious wounds without wasting super large amounts of chakra. It would come in handy when it came time to needing her chakra later on for larger ones: plus she would be able to use it more often than its big sister jutsu.
She reached over to her bag and fished around through the last few remaining scrolls, surprised to find that she had already successfully learned at least half of the jutsu she had originally planned on trying to learn. She glanced up at the sky noticing that the sun had moved a great deal of the way across the sky from the last time it had looked: it was going to be night before long. But, she figured she would have at least enough time to learn this next jutsu. Once she found the scroll she unrolled it like the others and began to read the braille by running her fingers across it: The user focuses a small to medium amount of chakra to their hands, allowing them to heal someones wound when they touch the area. This technique only works for surface wounds and non-serious injuries such as cuts, bruises, ect. The user may also heal themselves just as they would someone else, but again the jutsu can only heal surface wounds. This jutsu takes time to heal, and the larger the wound the longer it takes. If the wound is large then this technique can be used to partially heal it and make it smaller.

| She pulled healing chakra into her palm, creating a ball of it. However, this was far less chakra than she had ever used before: still with healing properties but without the insane amount of chakra drain that came with mystical palm technique. With the ball of healing chakra in her hand she looked to a scratch she had on her from a previous day of training. It was a mild scratch that she hadn't thought twice about, but that would come in handy right now.
She moved the ball of healing chakra to the wound and focused on it; allowing the healing chakra to do its job. The scratch began to heal, although it was far slower than the mystical palm technique was. However, it soon healed, disappearing completely as if it had never been there in the first place. With yet another technique down Hikari allowed herself to fall backwards in the grass where she lay: arms folded behind her head like a pillow to make her a little bit more comfortable than she otherwise would have been.
She contemplated on if she wanted to attempt to train anymore medical ninjutsu today not that Zenchi Te no Jutsu was learned, or if she wanted to save the rest for another day... Decisions, decisions.

| Kurai was standing nearby, at this pond. He was in the process of tossing aside an A-Rank Jounin flak jacket, because he refused to wear the thing. He thought it made him look silly. After all of the work he'd put in today, he'd been once again promoted. He now found that if he closed his eyes, Shinsai let him see the world in black and white. If he used Earth Meld, he could stay underground for an extended period of time, and even cast jutsu while submerged. Kurai could even cause a piece of earth as big as a small mountain to fly up from the ground to be kicked at someone.
As usual, Kurai didn't let it get to his head. There was still more to learn. Earlier today, he foiled a drug ring, and took a scroll from the dealer's mule. Upon it explained a technique to let a shinobi levitate, and even fly, without the aid of wings or some sort of machine. It was powered completely by chakra, and exactly what he needed to fight a giant. Kurai now had to train himself to use chakra to push himself into the air, and to keep himself there. He knew this would be something that drained him quickly if abused, and this was something planned not to do. Unless the situation forced his hand, most of his combat would take place on the ground.
So nearby the pond where his sister was practicing her techniques he stood, holding his right wrist with his left hand, looking like some sort of security guard. He concentrated his chakra and attempted to push it down into his legs. The grass could be seen moving around near his feet were one to look. As time passed, the movement of the grass became more frequent.

| As she laid there on the ground with her arms behind her head as a pillow she thought over the last of the three scrolls she had on her to learn; they all were medical ninjutsu techniques like the previous five she had learned, but at least two of them were far more advanced and harder than what she had learned today. One was a jutsu that could be used offensively on someone, and the other was a jutsu that could be used in dire situations. She wanted to learn the latter first, but was stumped on how to do that. There was only so much she could learn on the actual fish within the pond and she by no means going to harm a larger animal just so she could play surgeon on the thing.
As the solution to her problem momentarily escaped her she noticed the arrival of her brother who was standing nearby much like a body guard would; or some sort of security. The thought made her giggle softly and she sat up with a smile. "Hello Kurai, I see you've been promoted again.", she said as she nodded towards the jacket he had taken off. She then tilted her head to the side a bit in curiosity. "What're you doing?"
As she waited for an answer she tugged her bag over towards her and dug through the remaining three scrolls: she knew there were many more medical ninjutsu techniques for her to learn out there in the world, and soon she would have to go exploring again to find some new ones, but for now she would be satisfied with what she had. She pulled out the scroll that dealt with the Cell Activation Technique she wanted to learn. She unrolled it after untying the red ribbon that held it shut. The scroll unrolled in her lap giving a diagram of the human body and several others of the technique in work. It also had writing both in braille and regular print. She ran her fingers over the braille text for a moment to refresh her mind: Used only in the most dire of surgical procedures to increase the patient's survival rate if even by a single percentage, this technique employs a great level of refined chakra control to simultaneously activate all the cells in a person's body. This is done in order to cause the body to be able to repair itself even while the medical-nin is operating, restoring damaged tissues, and bone structures while healing the target during more invasive and delicate procedures.
Yes, this was definitely a technique she was going to have to practice on another being and not a fish: which was lucky for the fish because it meant they wouldn't be her victims for a little while, and would give them a much deserved break.

| The grass around his feet started to bend further and further away from him with the more he concentrated. His sister noticed him standing nearby, causing him to look up a second. He could also see that the surface of the water in the pond began to produce ripples that moved away from him. Kurai didn't want to say too much to his twin about his plans, for he figured she'd probably want to get involved. Kurai wanted to handle this whole thing by himself, and not involve anyone else. When more than one person got involved there was the risk of someone getting hurt.
As an answer to her question, Kurai's feet left the ground and he began to rise upward. He managed to keep himself airborne about a foot above the ground for about 10 seconds before setting down again. When he got the hang of this technique he hoped people didn't really start thinking of him as some sort of super hero, as the Shinobi at the Mission Board would sometimes joke. Many wouldn't even know Kurai was capable of such a technique, for he only planned on using it when there was no avoiding it. No more getting caught in landslides, he thought.
Kurai rose into the air again, this time managing to remain there for about 15 seconds now. After setting down again for a while, and giving it another go, Kurai could keep himself up off the ground for about 20 seconds. With more and more focus, the winds that were moving the grass, growth and the surface of this pond began to cease, signalling that lifting himself into the air with his chakra was becoming easier. He found that the farther he went, the less concentration was needed, and the technique was slowly becoming second nature, like breathing or walking.

| Hikari looked up from the braille she had been reading when she saw through her chakra radar as her brother rose up and began to levitate even if for only a brief period of time. He was trying to learn how to fly? That was a jutsu she didn't think she wanted any part in: she had no intentions of her feet leaving the ground, mostly due to still being so used to having to rely on the ground to be able to see. "Oh... that's a nifty jutsu.", she commented before she turned her focus back on the scroll in her lap and began to roll it back up. Once she was finished she tied the red ribbon back around it and added it to the pile of scrolls she had already learned.
She still had absolutely no idea on how to learn such a technique without some sort of victim or without injuring someone on purpose; but apparently she didn't have to wait long to figure it all out as the smell of blood reached her nose due to her overly-sensitive senses. Her head jerked up and she sniffed the air to pick out the location that the blood was coming from. She stood in one lithe movement and turned the volume up on her headphones for a moment so that she could hear clearer what was going on. After a moment she heard the sound of someone falling and running repeatedly... and the person was headed straight towards them: which she could clearly see as she spotted him with her chakra radar even before Shinsai took notice of him.
"I smell blood, a lot of it... and someone's coming in our direction. I think they're hurt really bad, I can hear them stumbling and falling all over the place.... and I can see them now with my chakra radar... They're just... god, they're a mess. It looks like someone took turns beating on him." She had spotted the individual easily enough but what she was looking at... well, it was horrible. There was an elderly man running towards them as quickly as he could who had been blooded and beaten almost beyond recognition. He looked as if someone had taken turns beating on him with all manner of objects. He was trying to cry for help but unable to do so due to the wound in his neck: and it wasn't the only one he was bleeding from.
That wasn't all she could see though since she could also see some individuals further back who looked as if they were searching for him but were unable to locate him for the moment: it made her think that the man had escaped them when they weren't paying attention. "There are people looking for him, some thug looking individuals who are further back, but they haven't spotted his trail yet..." As she finished speaking the blood covered and broken elderly man stumbled into their yard and collapsed almost instantly: turning the green grass red with his blood. Hikari didn't hesitate to go to his side: she knelt down and turned him over so that he wasn't lying on his face and could breath. What she saw had been done to the man as she pulled back the sides of the tan coat he had on horrified her but she didn't let it show: she couldn't think about that now, she had to focus on saving his life or else he was going to die in their yard and fairly quickly. Meanwhile the group had spotted the droplets of blood, and had began to follow them.

| Kurai was getting the hang of this. He'd lost count of the seconds he was able to remain airborne. It had gotten to the point where wind from his chakra was no longer emitting from him, and the grass and growth around him remained normal. It looked as if invisible hands were holding him above the ground.
Kurai set himself back on the ground as the smell of blood reached his nose, and the sound of someone stumbling and falling, their breath coming in puffs and gasps, reached his ears. When his feet touched the ground, Shinsai told him the story. An old man - possibly one of the merchants from the marketplace - looked as if he'd been worked over. Further back, a group of thugs - possibly belonging to the crime family that was attempting to get a foothold in Hinowa – appeared to be looking for someone. Some of them had a dark colored substance on their hands and splattered across their clothes – blood.
The old man came stumbling into the backyard of their house by where this pond was, and where he and his twin resided to practice and train techniques. Would these idiots dare intrude upon their home to finish beating on a defenseless old man? If they had brains they wouldn't. Kurai had been busy beating on the faces of wanna-be gangsters all day; a few more was nothing. He walked over to where the old man lay in the grass gasping, and to where his sister begin Medical procedures to heal him before he expired. Kurai rolled his shoulders and moved his head from side to side while popping his knuckles.
”...A so-called crime family is trying to sink their hooks into Hinowa,” Kurai said, waiting to see if the thugs following the blood trail were stupid enough to try coming into their backyard. ”...They tried starting a drug trade, but I put a stop to that. They tried starting an extortion racket in the market; I put a stop to that too. I think maybe this is related, so this has something to do with me. Am I right, old man?... If you can't respond, just blink your eyes twice... Either way, this won't happen to you again...”

| Hikari listened as her brother explained about the crime family that had been attempting to get its hooks into their village and how on two occasions today he had stopped that from happening. She still didn't understand why they would beat on a defenseless old man, but upon wiping his face with a spare bit of clean cloth from her bag so that she could get a better look to make sure he didn't suffer from any medical trauma on his head she suddenly noticed he was one of the merchants from the market who had often asked for his cart to be protected: it would certainly explain why they targeted him. The elderly man blinked twice in response to Kurai before his eyes closed and remained close: his vitals were beginning to crash.
Hikari focused on the needed amount of chakra to jump start the man and which would keep him alive while she fixed his other wounds: she poured chakra into him in masses all while making sure she was doing it just as she was supposed to. The chakra acted to kick start every single cell in his body: allowing his body to begin to heal and keep the man alive while she then focused on his more grievous wounds. It took a fair bit of concentration, leaving her and the elderly man momentarily defenseless against the thugs who were coming closer and closer with every droplet and smear of blood that they found.
With the man's cells starting to help speed up the healing process she focused her attention on the wound at his neck. WIth her left hand she applied pressure while with the right began to glow with healing chakra. She hovered the hand over the bleeding wound as she forced the chakra into him: the wound began to instantly reverse on itself until within seconds it would look as if it were never there. She continued this process on the other larger wounds she could find on his body, such as the cut on his chest and the one behind his knee; meanwhile her Cell Activation medical ninjutsu went to work on the broken ribs the man had, the various bruises and scratches he had all over him, and even the burns. When she was sure she had got all of the wounds handled she went up and checked the man's pulse; as his eyes opened once more. His pulse was returning to normal though a bit faint from the loss of blood and his blood pressure had begun to steady out. He would live to see another day so long as none of the thugs got a hold of him again.
Figuring that the backyard was about to become some sort of blood bath in a moment when the thugs arrived she helped the man to his feet and over to the backdoor where mother and father Yanagi were watching. Father Yanagi took hold of the man and with the help of mother Yanagi helped him inside before they shut the door. Now covered in blood Hikari turned towards the thugs who were just arriving into the backyard.... a wild fierceness in her eyes over what they had done to someone innocent. They were going to pay: badly, and the new jutsu she had been studying was going to do just the trick. It had been another one of those jutsu that she wasn't sure how to train simply because of the very nature of it. Body Pathway Derangement: An extremely high-level technique, used as a medical ninjutsu. The human body is controlled with electrical signals from the brain, but a person who had those electrical signals cut off with this technique will become unable to make their body move as they want. By transforming the chakra within one's body and giving it the properties of electricity, one creates an electric field. As soon as a strike of the hand lands, electricity is poured into the enemy's nervous system, severing the signals and deranging their body control. The target's body moves in any way, except how they want it to move. For the common shinobi, battle, not to mention even just walking, will become impossible.
Yes, this would be the perfect sort of payback to inflict on those who had harmed that innocent man simply to try and get under Kurai and likely her own skin.

| The 2 blinks confirmed it: these so-called gangsters were seriously trying to muscle the hard working old folk within the marketplace. Even with all he'd done today, the message that it wasn't happening didn't seem to get across yet. Kurai's expression didn't change much, but he did feel bad about the old man, and angered at what these idiots had done to him. He couldn't help but feel responsible; at fault for his condition. So it would only be right if he were to help rectify the situation.
Hikari went to work on him and skillfully healed all of his wounds and ailments. It appeared that he'd be alright. With Hikari helping him up onto the back porch next, he caught a glance from his father, seeing him nod his head with a serious expression. Kurai nodded back; no words were needed said to know that he was giving he and Hikari the ok to deal with the approaching thugs. His own serious expression on his face, Kurai turned as they began to pile into the backyard.
“Tell you what,” said the one out front, who had the most blood on him. This meant that he'd done most of the beating of the old man. “Just fork over the old man, and we won't have to do t'you and your fine ass little sister or girlfriend here what we did to him.” Others entering the backyard with him stopped in their tracks once they recognized Kurai and Hikari.
“Wait wait wait, this-this is a bad idea,” one of them said, suddenly looking terrified. Kurai recognized some of them too; former stooges of Jin and Hitomi, the two bullies from the meditation gardens.
“What? Are you chickening out? Do you want beat too?” said the lead guy.
“No! These two are serious man! There's no beating them, they're freaks of nature! They look like little kids but they're freakishly skilled and strong! They can like, take parts of the ground and throw it at you and stuff! TRUST me when I say this is a REALLY bad idea!” Some of them agreed with him, the ones that were smart, whereas others were skeptical.
“There's only two of them and all of us, we've got strength in numbers. What are they gonna do against all of us?”
“Numbers don't mean anything! There were more of us LAST time, and they STILL kicked all of our asses!”
“Then you sit on the side like a good little bitch and watch.” the lead guy turned back to Kurai and Hikari. “So, what's it gonna be? We're gonna take this village. There's more of us than you. I heard some stories of some kid in black and some blind chick supposedly making waves around here, but in the end it doesn't really mean anything. You two can't save the whole world. Just give us the old man, and we'll spare your family. If not then... It's gonna be your turn, then her turn, then we'll take a trip inside, and get acquainted with your folks. Yeah... real acquainted.”
Kurai's expression didn't change. “...You got until the count of five,” he said. “One...”
Some of them began to laugh. The ones who had brains, they left the backyard immediately. The leader pointed at Kurai, laughing as well. “Can you believe this guy? Is he serious?”
”Two.”
“Kid, do you realize what's going to happen if you don't--”
”Three.”
This was around the time Kurai's red eyes began to glow. Around the time that his arms and upper body expanded somewhat. Around the time that a long stylish black jacket appeared with a ゴリラ (Gorilla) symbol on the back of it to show who trained him. His hands became fists. Others in the backyard took witness of this, having never seen anything like this in their lives. They seemed to grow brains at this point, and like the previous, vacated the backyard. Yet many remained.
”Four.”

| Hikari noticed right off some of the kids who had been hanging up under Jin and Hitomi. Apparently, after her brother and herself had turned them down as wanting them for lap dogs they had gone and found a bigger fish to hang up under: which in itself made them look like nothing more than sheep. Even now, as they spoke out of fear, trying to warn the others of what Hikari and Kurai were capable of it was like their voices hit deaf ears. Yet again they had come across a leader who seemed to care little for what they had to say. Of course, it mattered little to Hikari. She was sure they likely had had some part in the old man's beating, and for that they would pay if they decided to stick around. She hated bullies above all, and that's all she saw this group as.
Hikari made no response to the man who was covered with the most blood: his words and threats did little for her, and they didn't scare her. She wasn't going anywhere: and she especially wasn't about to allow this group near that old man again, let alone her family. She knew her father approved of what they were about to do and that was all that mattered.
She watched her brother closely through the chakra radar as the strange coat with the symbol appeared: she hadn't exactly asked him what he had done in Niwa though she was sure this was one of those things he had learned or picked up. Either way, she was going to give him his space. When her brother spoke up and began the count down the group seemed to pay him little mind and that was fine with her: the less they expected the easier things were going to be.
A few of the thugs came rushing up towards her right after her brother spoke the number four, and a few others rushed him early as well. Knowing that her brother would be more than capable of handling the few who had rushed early towards him she focused on this who had now surrounded her. It was typical really for thugs such as these: they liked to surround their opponent to make them feel weak and helpless, Of course.. it only put them in an easier position to get their asses handed to them. One of the thugs rushed towards her, obviously looking to take a swing. Hikari raised her hand and caught his fist about a foot away from her face. She squeezed his fist and began to twist it until the man had no choice but to drop to his knees and attempt to turn to stop what was going to happen regardless. Sure enough, a few seconds later there was a loud POP and his arm was broken. The man screamed in agony and crawled away one armed.
"You bitch! You broke my brothers arm!"
"He should know better than to try and hit a lady...", was Hikari's response as she made a come on gesture with her hand. "'Course, you're more than welcome to try and do something about it." Hikari wasn't normally one to talk smack while fighting, but it threw the group off and got them acting out of anger and revenge instead of logical thinking that would otherwise make her being out numbered an issue. The brother of the man whose arm she broke came rushing towards her and as she bent her knees she lept up into the air and did a front flip which caused the man to miss her completely and go rushing into one of the others in the circle. She landed just as the pair went down and took a fighting stance: waiting for the next idiot to attempt to come after her.
There were three left of the group that had surrounded her and of the three one was covered in more blood than the others: he seemed to be the one waiting in the background to see what happened to the others and that was fine because she had a special plan for him: a way to make him as helpless as the victims they beat on and likely had killed before. The other two seemed frightened and yet at the same time determined to fight her at the same time which made their reactions jerky. The one to the left of her went to run towards her and she shot her left leg out in a kick that landed right in the mans gut. The kick landed hard enough to send the man flying backwards. At the same time the man on the right of her went to attack her and she turned while taking her body low to the ground with that same leg sticking out. She swept his legs out from underneath of him which caused the man to hit the ground hard. The man seemed slightly stunned by the impact and that left her open to send a punch straight to his face; hard enough to fully knock him unconscious just as the man who she had kicked in the gut began to rise to his feet.

| Some of them decided to just rush in and attack. He wasn't worried about the welfare of his twin, she could take care of herself. The lead guy and several of his goons rushed in at Kurai. Kurai stood his ground and didn't move. The thugs and goons started to punch and kick Kurai, who didn't even budge. Those that hit him started flailing their arms and legs, for punching Kurai was the same as punching steel to them. Glowing red eyes just calmly looked at them, waiting to see when they decided to call off their fruitless attempts and start running.
They didn't run; instead, some of them pulled Kunai knives and other weapons such as sickles and claws attached to chains. This is when Kurai went into motion. It was far too quick for them to process. One of the thugs was sent airborne from a hard uppercut. Another was sent tumbling and rolling out of the backyard from a hard shoulder block. Another, swept off of his feet and punched while airborne, also sending him out of the backyard in another direction. The lead guy? The victim of the “You're too close” combination; a punch to the groin, 3 hard punches tot he chest, snapping ribs like toothpicks, then an uppercut-like blow also sending him airborne.
This happened so quickly, that to his cronies standing in the rear, it would appear that they all were attacked at the same time, and bodies just went flying off into random directions. Kurai closed his eyes and de-activated his Sage Mode: he wouldn't need it for the likes of these goons. His eyes and muscles returned to normal, and the black jacket disappeared. Others ran in. Kurai put his hands behind his back as if handcuffed, deciding to use only his legs. The first one to run in was kicked hard in the mouth, flopping hard to the ground, unconscious. Another that ran in was kicked in his left knee, producing a loud pop sound and a scream from his mouth. A Violent Heel had him on the ground sleeping next to the first guy.
Another threw punches with one hand that were blocked with Kurai's legs, and swung a kunai knife with the other hand that were avoided. After disarming him, many kicks were executed to the mid-section until he was unable to stand and throwing up blood. Kurai caused the earth to raise up beneath the 3 goons, sending them all in the air. Another Violent Heel impacted all 3, sending them flying out of the backyard next. Kurai landed and dusted off his body suit.
Who was going to step up next? The remainder of the thugs began to look worried that the protests of the other thugs that left had a ring of truth to them, seeing as easily as these 2 kids were handling their cohorts. Kurai kept his hands behind his back and waited to see if any of those remaining would be stupid enough to come forward next.

| The man who she had kicked in the gut came rushing at her with both arms out as if he were going to grab her up in a bear hug. Figuring that that wasn't the best situation to get herself into she waited until the man was close and then ducked down and spun herself out of the way. The man went rushing past but didn't lose his footing as he turned back around. He rushed at her again and again she ducked and dodged out of the way: all while keeping track of the man with the majority of the blood on him, but he seemed more interested in watching the fight than actually participating in it at the moment.
As the man made a third attempt to bear hug rush her she didn't dodge out of the way like he had been expecting; instead she cocked back her fist at the very last moment, just as the man lowered his body in an attempt to block and escape she wasn't planning for. She sent her fist flying forward just as the mans face neared: her fist slammed into the mans forehead causing a small dent as she cracked his skull. She stepped out of the way as the man fell forward so that he didn't fall on her. He wasn't going to be getting up anytime soon: ever really, given the dent in his skull.
That finally left her face to face with the man from the group had tried rushing her; the one who was actually covered in blood. A frown slipped across her face as she took a better look at his appearance: his hands and knuckles were bloody as if he had been one of the ones punching the old man repeatedly and that sickened Hikari and made her want to make sure he suffered. Yes, he was going to be the first victim of her Body Pathway Derangement technique.
She took her fighting stance once more and made another come on motion with her hand. The man grinned and licked his lips; getting a rather perverted look on his face. "Now, why don't you stop that right now. You don't want me to whoop your ass: I can think of better things that we can do."
Hikari rose an eyebrow. "Scared to fight a girl now? Did you see what I did to your friends and realize you're a weakling compared to me?"
The grin disappeared off of the mans face and a growl of a sound escaped him. "I'm going to beat the smart-ass right out of you little girl, then you'll be singing a different tune." He took off his jacket and shoved it towards one of the other onlookers. He then took off a chain that he wrapped around his arms and wrapped it around his fists. He moved in slower and more carefully than his goons. Apparently he knew better than to underestimate her, but it wasn't going to help him now. Given their size difference he was going to be much slower on his feet than her which she was going to have to use to her advantage. She also knew she had to be careful not to get hit with that swinging chain of his.
Using her chakra radar she paid careful attention as the man shifted the grip he had on the long chain. He swung his arm out releasing part of the chain and sending it sailing right towards Hikari's left ankle. She bent herself backwards, flipping right out of the way. Her feet left the ground and the chain missed; hooking around a flower pot that it shattered upon contact. Hikari landed in her fight stance again, still watching while a plan formed in her mind. She backed up slowly towards one of the trees in the yard, waiting for the chain to be thrown out again. Once more the chain was sent out towards her legs and this time she simply jumped up and allowed it to go scraping along the ground underneath of her feet. She landed and kept on backing up further and further. Finally, her back reached the tree and the man grinned from ear to ear thinking that he had her. He sent the chain out, obviously thinking he was going to be able to chain her to the tree this time around, only for her to disappear into the ground at the last moment. The chain got wrapped up around the tree and the man cursed.
Hikari meanwhile moved through the ground without any of it being disturbed and rose up behind him. It was time to put her new medical ninjutsu into practice. She reached out and touched the man on the back of the neck, letting out a shock that would instantly scramble all of the signals in his brain. Unable to move or function properly the man dropped to the ground, looking like he was having some sort of strange seizure or something as he tried to move his body properly and failed. He was going to be down for a while, which meant they had one less person to worry about having to deal with.
Now... for the rest of the idiots who were still standing around and looking for a fight. She had another trick up her sleeve for them, a medical ninjutsu technique she had read about one day in the library but hadn't dared to even try and practice: now was the time.

| “You cannot be SERIOUS! You're getting your asses handed to you by a couple of fucking BABIES! Do I always have to do everything? Just get the fuck out of my way, i'll take this from here!”
A large man with a buzz cut stepped into the backyard. His words caused most of the thugs to leave. The man was tall and had thick arms and legs sculpted with muscle. He was wearing a jacket that was opened, revealing a muscular chest and 6 pack abs. His hands were the size of cinder blocks. He stood even taller than Kurai was, making him look like a skinny little toothpick; Hikari, an ant in comparison. When he walked, the ground quaked underfoot. He looked down at the two kids in disgust, unable to believe that these two were the reason guys were being thrown out of the yard like toys.
“But Tank, I don't think you---” one of them started to say, before Tank grabbed him by the head, and there was a disgusting pop and crunch sound, and his body went limp. Tank flung the thug backwards like a ragdoll, or old, unused trash.
“Here's what's gonna happen, kids!” Tank said, dusting off his hands. “You,” he pointed at Kurai. “I'm gonna break you in half! But first i'm gonna beak both of your arms and legs, and all of your ribs one by one! And you,” he pointed at Hikari. “You're gonna be dessert! I'm gonna take my time with a sweet little thing like you. Then, i'm gonna tear your house out from it's foundation, and eat whoever is in there raw! You've been fucking things up for us all over the village, pipsqueak! And seeing as it's interfering with MY shit now, you've really pissed me off!!”
Kurai's expression still didn't change, even in the face of this hulk here. He simply reach over and rubbed the back of Hikari's neck, never taking his red eyes off of the huge mountain of muscle. He was big, strong, but slow. As long as he didn't let the brute get his hands on him or his sister, they had nothing to worry about. Thus the reason for Kurai rubbing the back of Hikari's neck. What he was actually doing was passing on his Flight Technique to her. For 10 minutes (5 posts) she'd be able to keep herself above the ground.
“ARE YOU SCARED YET, KIDDIES!??”
”...I'm right here, not down the street,” said Kurai. ”I'm not deaf or hard of hearing either. Do you have to shout?...”
“So we've got ourselves some sort of smart ass here then, huh?”
”...No, you just talk too much. Going to fight, or should I start us off?”
Kurai was upon the muscle man in seconds. A flurry of punches and kicks were executed, impacting random areas of Tank. The big man eventually made a massive swing back, so massive that the trees and growth leaned to the side from the sheer force of his arm moving. Kurai jumped back and avoided the haymaker. When Kurai landed on his feet again, he was once more in Sage Mode. He straightened out his stylish jacket, knowing that it was going to take more than a bunch of basic attacks to fell this giant.
“Not bad for a runt! Too bad it's not enough! It felt like a bunch of flies landed on me!”

| This guy was huge; there was no other way to put it. He looked like something that came out of one of those backwood serial killer movies or something: some impossibly large guy. She felt her brother touch the back of her neck and could tell he had passed on another technique: likely the one he had just learned. She knew it wouldn't last forever, but she would take advantage of it while she had the chance.
Seeing her brother change again back into that strange mode he had entered into before she figured he was better matched up against this guy than she would be: and because of this she turned her attention to the other thugs around. She wasn't going to let them sneak up on her brother while he was busy handling the big guy.
She reached into her pouch and pulled out multiple senbon: they were key for this next medical ninjutsu technique that she planned on using. She watched a few of the thugs begun to spread out as they judged the situation. Others looked flat out scared to become involved in the fight after seeing what the twins had done to their comrades. Hikari wasn't worried about them: they all smelled of fear. It was the others who were looking calculating that she was looking out for, those were the ones who still had some fight left in them.
While she gave her brother and the big guy some well needed room she watched as one of the thugs came rushing in; going past her and heading straight towards her brother. A flick of her wrist sent a senbon out flying. The senbon flew a direct path into the back of the mans neck. When it hit he went down instantly, blood beginning to pour from his ears, eyes, nose, and mouth. He was not only paralyzed but now suffering bleeding before the brain aneurysm kicked. He wasn't going to be getting back up, in fact he was about to be very dead. She lifted up into the air, as yet another man came charging. She used this ability to move around the guy effortlessly so that she was behind him far before he reached her brother. Again she gave a flick of her wrist and sent a senbon flying out to the back of the mans neck. It hit dead center and the man went down, unable to ove and bleeding from every orifice.
She watched the last remaining two; waiting to see if they decided to turn tail and run, all while also paying attention to her brother and the big guy to make sure she remained out of the way of whatever was going down. One of the two remaining men decided to think smart and backed away with his hands up: he wanted no part in the gruesome death that his other two comrades had suffered. The last remaining thug however was darting his eyes between her, Kurai, and the big guy and then back again: trying to decide if it was worth dying or not.

His mouth was shut by an uppercut. Kurai was again upon him in an instant. The blow was so massive that it knocked the big man into the air somewhat. When he landed with a loud grunt, his massive weight caused the ground to tremble violently. It was then that the remainder of the thugs standing around really began to look worried. A kid managed to knock down Tank, who was known as the toughest and the meanest of them all. Tank was called in only when things were at their worst, and now it looked like even he was about to have his ass handed to him. Still, others still had the courage to try and sneak attack Kurai with his back turned, which was just as bad as charging in on him head on since he could still see them without the use of his actual eyes, but it seemed his sister had been training more than she'd let on. A thug went down and began to bleed. A strange expression was on Kurai's face, even though his real eyes were upon Tank, to see the thug on the ground, and also another thug that tried to capitalize on Kurai's so-called blind spot go down, paralyzed, and begin to bleed from their mouth, nose, eyes and ears. What had she done to them exactly?...
He didn't think about it too long, because he knew Hikari had to be wondering how he made his arms grow, why his eyes were glowing, and how a mysterious coat seemed to just appear out of nowhere. Tank opened his eyes and sat up yelling. With his right hand he adjusted his jaw, and when he opened his mouth, Kurai could see that he'd knocked out a lot of his front teeth. Tank ran his tongue over his shattered teeth and just seemed to become even more pissed off. His face and body turned red, and veins could be seen protruding from his forehead and neck. He punched the ground, creating another violent tremor. “YOU'RE DDEEEAAADD! RAAAAAAHHHHHH!!”
He got up and charged at Kurai like a wild bull. Kurai could have sworn he saw steam rising from his ears and the top of his head. Tank began to perform massive swings of his tree trunk arms at Kurai, letting off the loud screams and yells of a mad man. Kurai, blank expression on his face, ducked, dodged, and slinked around each blow. As he dodged, blue colored chakra could be seen gathering within the palm of his right hand. It came together to form a sphere the size of a skull. Kurai ducked underneath a right hook, and countered with this Rasengan, thrusting it into Tank's chest. There was an explosive reaction as it expanded larger and began to push him backwards. Tank managed to gather himself and slap the attack aside before it did any real damage. He was bruised somewhat, but still in the condition to fight. After slapping the Rasengan off into the air where it would dissipate, he charged in at Kurai again. More massive swings that moved trees and growth would follow, along with more nimble dodge maneuvers from Kurai.
Kurai began to form another Rasengan. This one was much larger than the original, about the size of a basketball. It was glowing much brighter than the smaller variant, and the chakra could be seen rising from it like smoke. This time, after dodging one of the power blows of Tank by jumping over him, Kurai shoved the Big Ball Rasengan into the back of his head, creating another explosive reaction and driving Tank into a freshly created crater. Kurai would fix all damage to the yard once this was ended. The explosion of chakra threw some of the thugs out of the way, and boosted Kurai further up into the air, to land a distance away from him, near the pond.
Tank like there in the crater, his back and neck smoking and red colored. He began to twitch and growl, indicating that he wasn't done yet; there was still some fight left in him. Slowly he began to gather himself and stand up again. ”Hmm,” said Kurai, honestly impressed that this guy could take both of his Rasengan attacks and keep coming. ”This guy really is tough. I guess it's time to try something else...”
Tank was still madder than ever. His face was still red, his eyes were bloodshot and wide open, resembling two buttons, and his face and chest were covered in dirt. He spit some of it out as he stood and turned to face Kurai again. Tank was having trouble believing and understanding how he was losing to a child. All he could think to do was yell and scream like a mad man, pound on the ground, and bull charge him once more. Kurai thought it about time to end this before he tore up the backyard any more than it already was, and send a firm message to this crime family attempting to run Hinowa from the shadows. As Tank bull charged toward Kurai for what he figured to be the last time, Kurai also sped toward him on a collision course. A Mossberg 500 kick amplified by Sage Mode knocked all of the air from Tank's lungs and stopped him in his tracks. A Great Whirlwind came next: a low kick that broke his left leg, a middle kick that cracked his sternum, and a high kick that shattered his jaw and knocked him airborne. Instead of the final Heel Drop that came at the end of this combination, Kurai instead jumped into the air with him as the large man shot upward like a rocket. Kurai in the meantime formed another Rasengan while passing Tank in the air, sailing up above him.
Kurai decided to see what would happen if he added natural energy to his Rasengan. The result was nothing short of phenomenal. The Rasengan expanded so greatly that it grew 5 times as large as he was. Everyone in the village and miles around could see the massive blue orb above Kurai's head, in the skies above Hinowa. With Tank airborne and helpless, Kurai shoved the huge attack at him. Tank could be heard screaming like a female before there was a tremendous explosion in the sky above the village, turning him into nothing. Harsh winds were blown from the explosion all over the village, knocking several people over and causing minimal damage.
Kurai landed in the backyard again, watching the last remnants of the explosion above, around the time that the hurricane-like winds came to an end. He'd created a new attack, which would surely come in handy with his showdown with the giant bull man in the mountains around Kumogakure. Kurai put his hands on the ground, repairing the damage to the backyard caused by all the fighting. The Crater and the many scuff marks began to disappear. He stood up straight again with red glowing eyes staring toward the remainder of the thugs.
”...Well?” he asked, still ready for more, even after all of that. ”You can end up just like Tank did... or you can gather this trash and get lost.” Kurai pointed to the bodies lying around. ”The choice is yours... tell your bosses about what happened here. Should they choose to continue with this “crime family” thing, let them know they're next...”

| Hikari had continued to watch her brother's back while also being very aware of what was going on. Tank was... well a tank, in the way that he could take two Rasengans and still remain standing, on top of the rest of the ass beating her brother had given him. Yet, in the end with her brothers new found strength that she was still confused and curious about Tank ended up broken badly and tossed into the air like a rag dall: all before her brother created an even larger and more deadlier looking version of Rasengan that finished Tank off.
As her brother returned to the ground and began to speak Hikari took notice of how one of the thugs was attempting to edge towards the house: no doubt with ill intentions on her mind. Hikari didn't mind being threatened, she could deal with it all day long: but no one threatened her family, and by that man trying to get inside that's exactly what he was doing. Before Hikari was exactly sure what she was doing she reacted: she reached the man in a quick burst of movement and slammed his head against the outer wall of the house to stun him. "Don't you people ever learn, or are you really that stupid? Let me spell the lesson out for you..."
With the man stunned Hikari went to work: and the results were horrifying to some of the thugs standing around. With every punch and kick she sent towards the man who had tried to get inside of the house a snap could be heard as a bone broke along with his screams: two-hundred and six times she struck the man, breaking every single bone in his body in alphabetical order until he was nothing more than dying heap on the ground in too much agony to even call out anymore. The majority of the thugs had been stunned by not only the speed in which she was moving but exactly what she had been doing: and even the thug on the ground hadn't been able to react because he had had no clue on where she was going to hit next: since he had no knowledge of the human body to know which bone came next. Hikari turned her attention back to the remaining thugs. She grabbed the broken body by her feet and with a single hand she tossed him towards his other dead brethren. "Think you should show 'em the bodies when you get back too: because if anyone comes after my family over this... they're going to suffer that exact same fate, if not worse." |

| Snap crackles and pops. These were the sounds of bones being broken. Some of them still weren't catching the hint that tangling with the Yanagi or friends of the Yanagi was a really stupid move. Even with their precious Tank being turned into nothing. Most of the thugs were long gone by now, but several decided to remain. What was wrong with them? Kurai couldn't figure out what it was that drove people to do bad, devious things; what made them do things like attack innocent people.
He held out his right hand and formed another Rasengan, normal sized. Kurai didn't think any of these idiots left over would truly be stupid enough to attack him, so he decided to get in a bit of training, now that the worst of the fighting was over with. Creating a super sized Rasengan with natural energy, he'd accomplished this, but now he wanted to see if he could create another variant of his new trademark move. First, he attempted to fuse Doton with the sphere. He couldn't accomplish this alone, so he created a clone, which attempted the feat for him. Many rocks and dirt began to swirl around within the chakra creation, but it made Kurai squint his eyes. This combination wasn't going to work.
Next, the clone Kurai attempted to fuse the Rasengan with Katon. This combination wasn't seeming to work either, so Kurai created another clone. Thugs were continuously getting up and leaving, terrified at the sight of this kid creating more of himself. This kid was definitely something else if he could do such things. The flaming Rasengan creation seemed like a good idea, and he would probably work at that, except for the fact that it generated a lot of heat, and Kurai had to disperse it before he burned himself.
So finally, Kurai decided to see of he could fuse the Rasengan with Fuuton. Kurai himself began to create another Rasengan, while one clone began to shape it, and another added Fuuton chakra. The process was a slow one at first. Eventually, there was a shrieking sound while his new creation began to be born. The Rasengan grew four large blades that spun around the sphere, situated directly in the center, similar to the blades of a helicopter. Kurai held his new creation up above his head; the wind from the technique causing their jackets and wild hair to flap around. Kurai's clones vanished into clouds of smoke as he spun in a circle and threw the Rasengan, watching it expand as it quickly traveled upward and out of sight. In the skies somewhere above in the distance, there was another tremendous explosion that seemed to be even worse than the detonation that ended Tank. In moments the winds from the detonation reached them, again moving the trees and growth in the area.
...And yet another attack was to be added to his arsenal. Kurai now had 4 ways to execute the Rasengan. He felt like he was almost ready to take on the giant in Kumo, but there was one more technique that he wanted to try and develop before or during his trip back to the land of clouds. He'd began to feel worn out from the fighting, the techniques and creating clones to develop new ones, so he de-activated Sage Mode and returned himself to normal. He was tired, yes, but if any of the thugs were stupid enough to try attacking again he still had enough to fend them off easily.

| The rest of the thugs had continued to stand there up until seeing this newest jutsu that Kurai pulled off with the help of a clone: after that they were all for getting the hell out of dodge. While mumbling apologies and other babbling nonsense they gathered up their dead and injured and started carrying them out of the back yard one by one and two by two.
Hikari still couldn't believe that their backyard had turned into a battle ground, but she was glad that her and her brother had more than enough skills to ensure that no one else had had to get involved, and that no one else had got hurt. She watched carefully as the thugs removed their dead and dying friends just in case someone wanted to be funny and try something: but no one did. She watched via her chakra radar as the thugs followed back the same bloody trail they had followed here and once she was sure they were really gone she walked over to the back door and opened it up. "It's safe to come out now, they're gone. I don't think they'll do anything stupid like that again: not if they know what's good for them."
Father Yanagi stepped out first with mother Yanagi behind him and the merchant behind her: Hikari couldn't help but wonder how shocked they might be if they had watched any of it through the kitchen window. She didn't regret what she had done, all of the violent techniques she had used, but she did regret that her parents had had to see her do those things, let alone the poor merchant who had gone through more than enough for one day: or a life time really.
The merchant looked around at all of the blood on the ground as he remembered all of the things he had been through and all of the things he had seen just now. He walked over to Hikari and Kurai and offered up a smile. "I want to thank both of you for saving us; and you especially Hikari for saving my life. I would be dead by now had you not preformed those medical miracles on me." He looked between the pair for a moment and then chuckled. "I feel I need to be a little truthful here now that those thugs are gone and I don't have to worry about them hearing me... I am a merchant because... well, I believe in honest hard work. However, my family is one of the more fortunate of the village - we come from old money which sits around for the most part unless we're donating to some charity or trying to help out in building up the village. I would like to give you two a gift; a proper way for me to thank you for everything you've done already and I'm sure you'll do for this village in the future." With those words said he pulled two pouches from his hip; each holding a large sum of ryo. He held one out to each Hikari and Kurai.
Hikari took the heavy pouch, able to tell that there were easily thousands upon thousands of ryo in it: it was enough to have her set for a very long time. Even missions would be pointless with this much ryo to throw around - but she would still do them, she would always help her village. This money would allow her to buy more than enough medical supplies to ensure she could help many more people in the future; and would allow her to come up with some decent weapons and armor too if she wanted. "Th.. thank you. Very much. If you ever need anything please don't hesitate to ask." |

| Finally. With his arms folded, Kurai watched as the final thugs gathered their friends from their yard and hurriedly made their way off. Shinsai told him that they were really leaving and not planning any further sneak attacks. Kurai leaned over once more to touch the ground, causing the earth to sift itself, removing the red fluids that had leaked from the bodies of these idiots who'd decided that it was a good idea to raid their backyard. Kurai knew that this wasn't going to be the end of that crime family. There would be other encounters with theses so-called gangsters, and he looked forward to them; to use the opportunities to possible create, or practice new techniques.
The old man and his parents stepped out onto the back porch once the thugs were gone. Kurai could see the amazed looks on his parent's faces, and similar to Hikari, he didn't feel bad at all about the things he'd done, or even killing a person. These people came to his home, and threatened to break his bones; threatened to do unspeakable things to his sister, threatened to eat his mother and father. These were a big no-no in Kurai's book. He'd deal with anything, and mostly just kick your ass, break some of your bones, and humiliate you under normal circumstances, but involving his family? That's when you had to die.
The old man said "I want to thank both of you for saving us; and you especially Hikari for saving my life. I would be dead by now had you not preformed those medical miracles on me." He looked between the pair for a moment and then chuckled. "I feel I need to be a little truthful here now that those thugs are gone and I don't have to worry about them hearing me... I am a merchant because... well, I believe in honest hard work. With those words said he pulled two pouches from his hip; each holding a large sum of ryo. He held one out to each Hikari and Kurai.
Hikari took the money handed to her, but Kurai just looked at the pouch being handed to him for a while before holding up a hand and shaking his head no. Kurai was not a prize fighter. Yes, he took the money that was given to him for tasks complete at the Mission Board, but in cases like these, when he was able to learn new techniques, it irritated him to no end when people tried to pay him. Kurai was satisfied that they were able to save his life and punish those responsible for beating him into the pummelled state he was in when he first arrived, but he expected no reward. The new Jutsu he'd developed were more than enough of a prize.
