| The albino Uchiha carried Aella's small form in her arms as they reached the village: then and only then did the female allow herself to slow from a super-faster run into a light jog, and as she neared the village gates a hurried walk. She really hoped she wasn't about to be given a hell of a run around or hard time: she needed to get to Dezzy so that they could cure Aella before she got sicker - or something worse happened. "Just hold on Aella... we're gonna find Dezzy and together maybe we'll be able to fix you.", she muttered to the child. Red colored eyes remained vigilant: she was sure that someone was likely going to show up to either stop her or at least see what was going on. She knew that Aella had spent some time in Makkura and had gotten to know a lot of them, so surely someone was going to be curious as to what was going on.
Aella, who had remained silent during the entire trip to the village of shadows was keeping an eye on things not through normal eyesight since her eyelids were indeed closed but through her chakra radar. "I don't like being sick...", she whispered out loud, though in truth she had been attempting to speak normally and was just too far tired to do so. She noticed that Amaya had begun to slow and couldn't help but wonder why, at least until her brain caught up with itself and she realized that Amaya could likely be preconceived as some sort of threat to the village - especially if Hiroyuki hadn't informed everyone of the truce that had been made. "Granny Amaya... just ask for...", her voice stopped as she slipped back asleep, face turning in to rest against Amaya as she did so.
Frost and Hoshi had caught up with them, the lil pup just as vigilant as the far larger dog who had spent a good portion of his time in this village with Aella when she had visited. Neither however were in attack mode, they were simply watching to see if anything was going to happen. |

| Alec almost didn't believe what he was seeing.
The chakra radar told him that someone was carrying Aella, his grand daughter, toward Makkura. She was being followed by 2 dogs. One of them came here once with Aisling, back when he went to Niwa and nabbed the child. The other was Hoshi, the pup who always followed her. She looked to be in bad shape. One of the things Alec hated was to see the younger generation sick, hurt, or dragged into a situation because of grown folk.
Jr, who'd been outside flying around in a fashion that left bright glowing orange trails in the constant dark purple skies above, became enraged when he spotted the woman carrying his sick looking niece through The Land of Shadows. He began to dive toward the pair, until called off by Alec through the wireless comm. Jr could be heard loudly protesting, but with further convincing from Hi No Seishin to leave the situation to his father, Jr gave a loud grumble and remained in the skies above the pair.
Something fast and black seemed to just... appear nearby Amaya. It slowed to the same jogging pace she was traveling at, revealing itself to be Alec himself, frowning.
”What happened to her? Who did this to my grand daughter?”
War was back on. Villages would burn. This time, there would be no talking, no peace, no negotiations. Blood would spill like waterfalls. Alec was prepared to destroy this world and everyone in it if someone purposely did this to the kid.
”...If someone in Niwa is responsible for this?... I would advise you not to return to that village, because I will personally turn it into a graveyard. Mark my words...” |

| Amaya took notice of the orange streak in the sky. At first she thought it was some sort of strange bird, but after remembering what she had been told by those in Niwa, and hearing a suddenly angry sounding protest after the streak of orange had halted in shooting directly towards them, she figured this must have been the Kuraikage: Junior. Which, if he was protesting against something then that meant that someone else likely knew she was here: someone he would be willing to listen to. Before she could get further with the thought she saw something black and fast head straight towards her only to end up at the same jogging pace as her: this had to be Alec Kane, confirmed when he called Aella his grand daughter. "Aella has the same sickness I and her mother had. Aisling was a clone, a mix of DNA from myself and Ashi. Aella also was a clone... only from a single DNA strange of Aislings instead of combined. She got the same sickness that I and Aisling had, only it's mutating in ways I haven't seen. No one in Niwa is responsible for that but if you feel the need to vent by burning it to the ground too by all means go ahead... so long as my grand daughter is safe I'm happy - hell, for all I know I'm no longer welcome in that village, I didn't exactly get permission to leave, let alone take Aella with me.", she said as she looked to Alec while continuing to hold Aella's now sleeping form. "Aella once told me that your daughter, Dezzy, was the best medic in the world... even able to bring people back from the dead. I hoped that if we put our heads together we could fix this. She was worse before, I've had to wait an entire week before I could move her because she was in so much pain due to the muscle spasms that she ended up in a coma."
Aella was blissfully asleep again, her mind a wash of bright colors and random shapes. As she slept she projected them slightly; almost like a television station that if someone wanted to pay attention to they could see, but that otherwise would be left to be ignored: even by those without telepathic abilities.
Amaya glanced down, picking up on the projecting thoughts before looking back to Alec and hoping that he would lead her to Dezzy without further issue. She didn't expect him to trust her, but she wanted Aella healed and cured so that this wouldn't happen again, and she knew that if the pair of them put their heads together they could do that: that was if Dezzy didn't already have something in her lab that could do that on its own. |

| ”...Clones... So you brought a clone into this world, having to know that she would have the same kind of illness you had? Then Demi – I mean, Aisling, went and did the same thing, and now this illness whatever it is is mutating and could kill Aella? What the fuck, lady? What's wrong with doing things the old fashioned way?”
This was new news to Alec's ears. He didn't know the version of Demi here, Aisling, was actually a clone of this woman next to him, and that his grand daughter was a clone of Demi. Alec didn't even know they had that sort of technology here in this world of ninjas. To see Aella in this sort of condition and listening to what this woman was telling him just pissed him off.
”...Just follow me, i'll take you to Dez.”
Niwa had nothing to do with the state Aella was in, or did they? Did Hiroyuki condone cloning people? Were they over there in those trees trying to play god? Alec began to consider properly burning the place down after all if such were the case. He told Jr and Kinzoku to stay outside and keep their eyes in all directions, just in case someone came after them, since she'd said they left without permission.
Alec lead the woman and the dogs through the village, down the main street, through the stares of many pedestrians and Ops. He walked across the bridge above the bottomless moat and held the door open for Amaya and the dogs. Once inside of the plush tower, Alec would lead them through the large front room and to a staircase, leading down several flights and through 2 large double doors into Destiny's lab. She had to have seen them coming, and Alec wouldn't have been surprised if she saw the whole thing. |

| Dezzy had been watching the entire thing from her labs. She had seen Amaya arrive with a child she recognized as Aella in her arms. She had even, through lip reading, been able to pick up on the conversation that Amaya and Alec were having as Alec finally lead her through the village while ordering Junior and Kinzoku to keep their eyes peeled for anyone who might be coming after Amaya and Aella. She knew who the medic was of course, Aella had told many stories about Niwa's "prodigy" medic who had kept the ex-Hakage/Hokage alive for over twenty years - but that didn't stop her too from feeling some of that anger she was sure her father felt. Playing with genetics was asking for trouble, and making clones even more-so. But, now wasn't the time to rage at her or cause issue.
As Dez watched through her chakra radar as her father led the pair down to her labs she got a rubber padded table set up and sterilized for Aella's immediate arrival. She pulled over IV poles and got several bags of fluid set up. Aella was going to be a very lucky little girl: Dezzy had just recently found while going through the many vials in the hidden storage closet a vial filled with a very concentrated mixture of a cure-all antidote made from the blood of a special clan. She had read about the clan, and knew that their blood normally couldn't be used once out of the system. But, whoever had come before her had found a way to get around that loop hole, and so it was usable. If this didn't work she had plan B and plan C already lined up of course.
When Amaya entered the room she nodded towards the set up table. "Put her on the table, I have a way to fix her.. or so I hope. Just stay the hell out of my way.", some of her underlying anger towards the female could of course be heard but the much smaller and younger female hardly cared: her family was sick, dying, and Amaya was partially to blame. When the child was on the table she would swab clean an area of her arm and insert an IV. Once in she would hook up the fluids to keep her from dehydrating and then slowly and carefully she stuck a syringe into the vial of antidote and withdrew a dose. Once finished she inserted it into the IV and injected it into Aella.... hoping, praying, that it would work.
"I'm letting you know now that if - and I'm praying it does - this works I'm not going to willingly allow Aella to return to Niwa for some time to come. I'm going to run tests once she's well enough and make sure that whatever this is is out of her system, and that she's fully cured and healthy... ", she spoke in a voice that held an underlying threat: it was a threat that stated clearly she would fight to keep Aella here, even if that meant resorting to untold violences. |

| Amaya wasn't surprised by his anger, and could understand his point of view. So, she followed after him as he lead the way through the village, past what looks like civilians and those who might work for them, and to the tower. She continued to follow him while he led the way through the tower and down to what she presumed was going to be Dezzy's lab. "I understand your anger... but you have to understand that I didn't think this sickness would transfer to Aisling - I was well by the time I did what I did. Aisling... I can't speak for. She was desperate to fill the ripped open gap in her heart, and thought that Aella could fill that. It's likely why she went insane: it didn't work. That's why she left Aella in Hiroyuki's care."
Amaya put the sleeping child down on the table that Dezzy indcated without hesitation: glad that Aella was asleep so she didn't feel the IV going into her arm. She watched Dezzy get to work as she did as the female said and stayed out of her way. She hoped that whatever she was using would work, and she nodded when the female threateningly spoke of not allowing Aella to leave right away. She didn't blame her, she knew Aella was a member of her family the same as she was a member of Amaya's family.
She then stared at Aella, hoping to see some sign that this was working... "When I know she's better I plan on going after Aisling and bringing her back... I want to make sure she's alright too, and to tell her what happened so this doesn't happen again. Playing god's wrong, unfortunately it took me this long to realize that..."
------
Aella was placed down on the table but barely felt it as her dream of bright colors continued as well as the random shapes. She didn't feel the IV that Dezzy inserted into her arm, nor the fluids or even the antidote that was put into her body. However, it did begin to work: and that she felt. The previous coldness that had filled her from head to toe began to ebb away, replaced by a warming feeling. It was almost the sensation that one would feel after being out in the snow for a long time and coming inside to a nice hot cup of cocoa or even a cup of tea while sitting in front of a heater.
As the heat spread the tension in her body began to loosen, muscles that had felt like they were still in knots relaxing which took away the rest of the pain that the child was in. Her sluggish heartbeat slowly sped up to what it normally would have been and her blood pressure became normal. The antidote was not only making her better, but it was attacking and defeating the sickness that had been inside of her since the day she was born.
After several minutes she would begin to wake up, eyes remaining closed as she used her chakra radar to see. "Am I in a hospital...? I... don't like hospitals.", she muttered softly.
------
Amaya sighed in relief: she knew that Aella was out of the trouble zone, and that thanks to whatever antidote that Dezzy had got her hands on she was going to be fine. Unless prevented she would turn without word, figuring that one of the Kanes could tell Aella how she got here if she asked, and left the tower, the village... and headed not towards Niwa, but towards the ruins of Konoha.

| He'd heard about it with his own ears. Aisling had gone insane... and Alec deducted that it was his fault. It was something weighing heavily on his mind, and one of the things he felt guilty for; the other being sending Jr to Niwa to be yelled at by some weak old man when he should have gone himself. It all had to be because of Spook, and finding out that technically he was related to her... had Aisling really been into him that much?
It still didn't change the fact that they'd been cloning themselves and making others suffer the same shit they had back in the day. Who else was a clone in Niwa? Did they have their own laboratory set-up in those trees somewhere? Was this something they did normally? Being a villain and bombing villages was just that: Villain shit. But playing God? That was truly evil shit. Alec didn't allow Amaranth back home to do such things, nor did he allow Destiny. That was a line one just wasn't supposed to cross.
Destiny went to work, and the process eventually had the kid waking up. Alec nodded his head, relieved. He didn't plan on attacking Niwa right at that moment, but no one was to say an attack wouldn't happen sometime in the future with revealed past information. Alec felt no different about the kid on the table or Aisling, were he ever to see her again, but the whole thing was just...wrong.
”No, kiddo... you're downstairs in my tower, in Makkura. Your grandmother brought you here when you started to get bad, and you'll have to stick around for a while. Dez cured you, so i'm sure she'll have to watch you to see if there's any side effects. That could take a while...”
The woman turned and left without a word. Alec didn't even get her name, something he found quite rude. He didn't go after her though, and didn't plan to. ”Dad the lady who brought Aella here is leaving, what do we do?” asked Jr through the comms.
”Leave her be.”
”You sure? Is she the one who did something to Aella?”
”Yeah i'm sure, let her go on her way. She's not worth it. Aella was sick, and now she's alright, thanks to your sister. She's also gonna be staying here with us for a while, so chill out.” |

| Dezzy watched as Amaya left and listened as her father told Junior not to stop her. She didn't know what to think about the woman and the fact she had been playing God: things like that never ended well, case and point Aella being as sick as she was. If the girl had been unconscious - in a coma - due to nothing more than pain then she could only imagine how badly that must've hurt. But, Alec was right... it wasn't worth going after her right now. Dez's top priority was going to be ensuring that Aella was completely better and that she didn't get sick again, and the best way to do that she knew would be to take some of her blood and test it herself.
She went over to the bag of syringes and pulled out a fresh and sterile one. She wandered over to Aella. "I'm going to draw some blood out of your IV so I'm not poking you with another hole. I'm going to test your blood to make sure that you're truly better again and that the antidote worked. Just stay still for me.", she said softly before doing exactly as she had said she was going to: she inserted the syringe into the IV and withdrew a good bit of blood. When she was finished she went over to one of many machines and inserted the whole syringe into it before pressing an assortment of buttons which started the machine and got it working.
After several minutes of the machine making a soft whirling sound it beeped once and then went quiet. Dezzy pulled out the sample that had been condensed and read the print out report. When she was finished with that she took the sample over to a microscope and looked at it herself. The breath she had not been aware she was holding up until that point escaped and her shoulders relaxed. "There's absolutely nothing wrong with her blood... whatever was making her sick was annihilated by that antidote.", she said as she turned around with a soft smile. "But, that still doesn't mean you get to go home... I'd like you to stay here Aella, until I'm sure it's safe.", which of course meant until she was sure no one else would be running any tests, or doing any experiments on the child - though she didn't voice it out loud. "Stay around the tower if you can... if you do go outside make sure you take someone with you just in case you get tired or something... after what I can see your body went through you're going to be weak for a little while, cured or not. So don't push yourself." She then went over and carefully removed the IV and unhooked her from the machines. She put a band-aide over the spot the IV had been in. "You're good to go." |

| Aella nodded as she watched Dezzy go about double checking her blood. Unlike most children she wasn't afraid of needles or syringes: she had had tests like this in the past when Amaya had checked to make sure her blood was healthy and fine, and so as Dezzy went about her business she didn't even flinch or look scared in the slightest. She laid there patiently as Dez then went ahead with the process of checking her blood with a machine that made strange noises and then finally with what Aella knew to be a microscope. She watched as the female's shoulders relaxed and she seemed to stop holding her breath, both of which she took as signs that her blood really was better and the sickness was gone, all before the female voiced it.
She nodded to the instructions she was given before looking to Alec and sitting very slowly up. Not wanting to waist the strength she did have by speaking out loud she chose to speak telepathically, "Are you angry 'cause I'm an... experiment?", she asked, her telepathic voice as equally as curious as it would be had she been speaking verbally. "'Cause that's not my fault...", she added, wondering if he was angry at her.
She shifted on the table until her legs dangled off of the edge just as her stomach began to growl and grumble: she hadn't eaten for a week, and while she hadn't felt hungry while she was sick, now she felt like she was starving. Hoshi and Frost who had remained nearby and both of which had stayed even after Amaya left came near. Frost simply sat and stared at her while Hoshi jumped up on the table and then climbed on her lap and began to lick her chin: obviously the puppy was happy she was better. |

| Like usual, Alec propped his Blind Fury stick in front of him like a cane, resting both hands atop the polished black secret weapon. What to do, then? Go back to Niwa and raise hell? Alec had already fought in a clone war that lasted years/. Many “family members” were created and destroyed. It was a very traumatic experience, and even with as crazy as he could get sometimes, it was something he wished he'd never have to do again, but like most things in his past, here it was, exposing it's ugly head, back to bite him in the ass again.
”Yeah, this... kinda makes me mad, you know?... I'm not mad at you, though. How could I be? You didn't ask for any of that, or even to be here... So, who else in Niwa has been playing God? Hiroyuki have some sort of experiment room hidden in that big tree of his somewhere, sort of like this room we're in?”
It would be interesting to know, if she even chose to tell him, or even if she knew herself. He did his best to keep his temper down, but was unsuccessful in removing the frown that appeared beneath the blindfold. If those tree people were over there cloning people then he would seriously consider taking action against them. |

| Dezzy watched as Aella slowly sat up and given that Alec was speaking and yet she wasn't hearing a word from Aella she figured that the girl was using her telepathy: it was fine, she probably was still tired and it was likely easier for her to speak telepathically compared to verbally.
She took Aella's blood samples and walked to the back of the lab, past the cage where her zombie was currently in eating a raw steak, and to the far back where the incinerator was. She knew of her father's past, and even knew why he was angry, and the last thing she wanted was to have clone blood lying around for someone else to snatch up and try playing God with. She put on special gloves that would keep her from being burned after she set the blood down on a nearby table. She opened the incinerator and then carefully picked up the blood samples and tossed them in.
She then looked back to the pair and then nodded towards her office. "I'm going to go take a nap in my office. Like I said Aella you're free to wander around, just make sure you're with someone." She reached into her pocket and pulled out one of the communicators she had extra. She handed it to her. "Slip that on your ear and keep it on you; it'll let you contact me if you need me for anything at all. Even if you only start feeling a little sick let me know so I can check you out so it doesn't get that bad again. Kay?" With that said she wandered into her office and closed the door the majority of the way. She laid down on the spare cot and with a yawn she dozed off.

| Aella looked to Dezzy and took the communicator from her. She slipped it on her ear with a nod: she would make sure that if she started feeling sick in any way she would let Dezzy know immediately. She found herself wondering why Amaya never thought to do something like this, it likely would have made things easier when she originally had gotten sick. But, she didn't think on it too much since Alec was asking her questions.
She was glad to hear that he wasn't mad at her, though she couldn't understand why he was angry. She shook her head no in response. "No. Only me and my mommy, Aisling, were cloned. My mommy is a mixture of Granny Amaya and Granny Ashi. I'm just a copy of my mommy. But they don't have any fancy lab or anything like Dezzy does. They just did the experiment in the hospital." She noticed the frown on his face instead of the grin he had had the last time that he had seen her and tilted her head to the right a bit while giggling as she felt Hoshi licking her. "Why does me being a clone upset you?", she asked curiously.
She wrapped her arms around Hoshi as she waited for Alec to answer. She wanted to understand why he was upset so that perhaps she could help fix the problem - or if not at least better understand the situation so that she didn't end up upsetting him. |

| Alec's brain was back in time. Back in Onett, Eagleland, in Ness Crib. Fighting “The Kingdom” and many Kane clones. He was so lost in thought that he didn't even know he was frowning. Those were bad times, and even though it looked like they were happening again, there was no use getting mad over the past. All of those freakshows were dead and gone.
”A long time ago, when I was a kid... I fought in this war that lasted over 10 years with these freaks that refused to die. Everytime I thought I killed them off, i'd come to find out that one or two of them made it out and rebuilt the whole thing. The third time they came back, they started making clones of me, and my best friend, his name's Ness. For the longest time... I was forced to fight pieces of myself... literally. It's nothing against you, Aella... but making clones of people; playing God, messing with things he made?... It's wrong.”
She said her grandmother Amaya, who had to be the woman who just left, and Aisling were the only ones to have done it. He didn't think he was going to see Amaya again, but if he should, he had words for her, as well as Aisling. Hiroyuki and that father of his weren't directly to blame, but they had to have known what was going on, and since they didn't put a stop to such actions, that made them just as guilty as Amaya and Aisling. |

| Aella listened carefully as her grandfather explained why people cloning themselves, or other people bothered him so much. She listened as he explained that he fought in a war where people who wouldn't stay dead started to make clones of her grandfather and his best friend and how they had been forced to fight themselves, and likely each other she figured it was safe to guess. She couldn't imagine what it would be like having to fight a clone of someone she loved or cared about, to have to fight someone she knew really wasn't that person but who looked like them: let alone fighting herself. She could imagine how confusing and emotionally hard that would be.
In response she frowned in deep thought and then nodded. She was glad to hear her grandfather didn't have a problem with her as a clone, but she did understand where he was coming from. "That makes sense. People shouldn't play around with stuff like that because it could be dangerous or cause problems. I never plan on making another me... one of me is enough." As she finished speaking a male child-like voice spoke as well, the voice seemingly coming from Aella's location as it was the voice of her bijuu, Lil' Bai "Only one of me too!". Aella giggled. "Lil' Bai's awake."
Aella's stomach gave a rumble again and she looked down, poking it. "I'm hungry." She slid down off of the table slowly and carefully and then looked to the steps. There were a lot of steps in the tower and she wasn't looking forward to having to walk up all of them. "Grandad, how many steps do you think it is to the kitchen?" |
