General Description: Hisaki is an extremely handsome individual. His soft facial features borderline on being androgynous while his muscular yet slim body is perfect. Were he to attempt to do so, he could easily disguise himself as a woman, and on many occasions enjoys doing so to help him cope with his social issues. His medium length white hair falls just below his eyes and nearly to his shoulders in the back, his piercing emerald eyes nearly glowing in their sockets and his smile, when shown, is said to be able to light up a room. He is surprisingly muscular for his lithe form, his shoulders not broad at all and his arms still slim while being defined. He is often seen walking around shirtless, wearing a pair of hand wraps and blue shinobi slacks with sandals as most tend to wear.
About You!
Personality: Hisaki is humble, kind and quiet. He tends to enjoy curling up and sitting with a book as opposed to going out into busy public areas. He is, however, a fan of going for nature walks and particularly loves to overlook the sea at the village docks. The wind blowing off of the water always sooths him and he could spend hours at a time just sitting on the dock listening to the waves and feeling the cool breeze on his skin. Though he won’t admit it to anyone, his favourite books are often clean romance novels, and of course staring male characters as opposed to females. Due to him being a tad bit shy he will often blush if he notices that someone is looking at the book he is reading and then attempt to hide it.
When asked about his abilities, Hisaki often likes to shy away from the question, turning the focus instead to the skills of his comrades or other brave heroes in the village. While he is an extremely competent fighter he is uncomfortable giving himself praise, sometimes going as far as avoiding the subject completely if his accomplishments are to come up. Even when using his medical abilities to save a life he will not allow the person to thank him, telling them it is only proper that he should help and playing off his part in saving their lives.
Hisaki hates to see people either sad or in a bad way and often goes out of his way to help anyone who he can. His kindness is limitless and it is said that he once saw a young man shivering on the ground outside sleeping on a bench. When he saw this he awoke the man and asked him why he slept on this bench. The man told him that his house had been destroyed in a horendous fire, and he hadn't been able to fix it due to having no money or ability to do so. Upon hearing this Hisaki’s eyes began to well up and he helped the man up, putting his robe over him and leading him back to his compound, where he fed the man, gave him a brand new robe, and allowed him to sleep in Hisaki’s own bed while Hisaki slept on the floor so that the man would be more comfortable. He literally gave the man the shirt off of his back and took a complete stranger into his home.
Hisaki’s kindness is often offset by his quietness and his shyness. He is a very soft spoken man and is often not heard when he speaks, unless he deliberately speaks up, which does not happen all that often. He has had it happen more than once in the past where he had been talking to someone and the person had assumed he wasn’t listening to them because they couldn’t hear his response, which led to him blushing embarrassed and attempting to apologize while then repeating himself slightly louder. He becomes especially quiet when he is in the presence of extremely attractive men, often not able to speak at all and unable to look them directly in the eye, often favouring to look towards the floor in these situations. The only time he is able to get over such situations is when he is in a place of great importance and his word is imperative.
When it comes to battle and training, however, Hisaki is quite a different person. He is quite masterful with his fuuinjutsu, his mastery of the Uzumaki sealing styles coming to the fore and often times locking down his opponents at pivotal times in battle. He loves to test his peers, pushing them to the best of their abilities and making them work their hardest to defeat him. He does this quite often by sealing off specific areas of their bodies, making it so they have to rely on areas that they are not as specifically good with. When it came to dealing with real opponents, Hisaki would disable them to a point where they would no longer be able to fight, but he would try to never land a fatal blow on an opponent, the idea of killing someone sickening him as he believes that all life is precious, no matter what.He will only kill if absolutely necessary.
Likes: -Hisaki loves to read more than anything else. His favourite pastime is sitting either at home at his compound beside the fire, or beneath a tree, curled up with whatever romantic yaoi novel he is working on at the time. Though he does love doing this, he often gets embarrassed when he is caught reading these types of books.
-Hisaki enjoys sitting by the lake, the sounds of the waves crashing and the feeling of the breeze coming off of the lake always manage to put his troubled mind to rest. He stares across the sea and watches for the ships coming in, often times wondering what lies beyond their own country, though not sure if he would be able to travel far enough to find out.
-Hisaki likes attractive men, specifically blonde men who are slightly less muscular and a bit slimmer than him. He discovered his “type” when he was around twelve or thirteen years old. One of the young men who was in his genin squad, a Hatake to be specific, fit this description perfectly and every time Hisaki would see him it would cause him to blush and look at the ground, nervously avoiding eye contact. While he finds the Hokage to be an attractive man, it is important to note that there is something about him that Hisaki feels immensely comfortable with, and he therefore doesn’t have the same issues with him, limited instead to slight blushing whenever they talk, but at the same time allowing Hisaki to look him in the eye.
-Hisaki is a great fan of the arts, though he is not particularly skilled in them. He loves paintings and music, though he doesn’t paint of play. His one art that he is able to perform though is poetry, as he is quite a gifted poet himself and has been for all of his life, or as far as he can remember. He doesn’t believe he would stand up to the greats, but he would like to think that people would enjoy his writing if he were to let them read it.
Dislikes: -Due to his kind and gentle nature, it is not hard to guess that Hisaki dislikes people who are mean or rude. When he sees people are picking on anyone weaker than them or that someone is just generally being rude to someone, he typically feels the need to get involved and try to help the person who is being abused. Many see him as somewhat of a hero in this regard, but he often shrugs it off and points out that any decent human would do the same thing in his shoes.
-Hisaki does not like people who are overly boisterous about themselves. He does not hate them by any means, but he often finds their lack of modesty irritating and frustrating. Though he would never go so far as to point out people’s shortcomings in doing such a thing, he often just shakes his head and walks away if someone is getting obnoxious in their boasting. This dislike is probably another due to his typically quiet and modest nature, which he notices dictates a good amount of his life.
-Hisaki is not a fan of fire, or lightning for that matter, the two of them being destructive forces that ruin the beauty of nature on a daily business. While he is completely aware that oftentimes fire has a cleansing property to it and many things are reborn through fire, the thought of a forest burning down still makes him immensely sad and therefore he dislikes the element.
-Hisaki doesn’t like spicy foods at all, to the point where if his only option is to eat something spicy or not eat at all, he will often not eat, going out of his way to avoid eating the spicy foods. This has led him into trouble in the past and he has nearly passed out due to not eating for over a week at one point, before he was given a plate of fruit that had been obtained from a neighbour. This was an isolated and extreme case, and he often doesn’t go long before going outside and picking himself an apple or a pear.
Motivations: -One of the great motivators in this world for Hisaki is love. He has never truly found love and he hopes that one day he will be able to find himself a man who he can be happy with and spend the rest of his life with. He loves the idea of romance, like in his novels that he reads, and is determined that one day he will be like one of the characters in his books. He actively seeks out the man of his dreams and hopes that he will have the courage to speak with him and meet this goal.
-While it may not seem like something that he would wish for, Hisaki is greatly motivated to become the Hakage. Though he has no issue with the current kage at all, he wishes to use the position to attempt to promote peace with other villages and to help make the Shinobi world a better place.
-Hisaki is determined to help make the world a better place. He does this by small acts of kindness, by helping clean up and try to make places nicer than they were when he got there, and by being all around pleasant. He attempts to make the world better in everything he does, from training his students to helping random strangers who need food, clothing or shelter for the night. He has worked towards this goal in his entire twenty one years of life, and he will continue to do so until the day that he dies.
Fears: -Though Hisaki isn’t the most social person, often preferring to stay at home alone as opposed to going out and being social, he has a crippling fear of being alone, or more specifically dying alone and having never loved anyone. This fear is something that he has to face every single day as he tries to get over the social anxiety barriers that he has blocking his path to true happiness.
-Having fought against many opponents, Hisaki doesn’t particularly fear people, though he does fear large crowded areas that are packed with people. He suffers from a rather mild case of social anxiety and he often does his best to avoid dealing with people as much as he can. When in an area that has more than fifteen people he will begin to hyperventilate, though it is still tolerable. When the crowd reaches the twenty five person mark his anxiety becomes much more serious. He will lose the ability to speak and may end up throwing up from being dizzy, and potentially falling unconscious. Fortunately for him this is a fear that doesn’t seem to follow him into battle and when fighting large crowds of enemies, or with large groups of allies, he doesn’t notice it.
-As far as irrational fears go, the one that is probably most common is the fear of spiders. Arachnophobia is a phobia that Hisaki shares with millions upon millions of people all over the globe and although he doesn’t quite understand why the mostly harmless creatures scare him so much, he knows that they make him scream like a girl. Even seeing the smallest of spiders will make him jump and if he sees a large spider, depending on the size, he will begin trembling in fear, nearly paralyzed and he will run as far away from it as he possibly can.
History:PRE ACADEMY
-Hisaki was fortunate enough to be born into a prestigious branch of the famous Uzumaki clan, and as such lived a life of luxury and pomp. Growing up he was often attended to by servents of his parents, and he didn’t know what it meant to want for anything.
-He began his training in the ways of Fuuinjutsu, specifically the Uzumaki's signature sealing style, when he was five years old, his father telling him it was pivotal that he master the art if he were one day to take over his position as the head of their family and teach it to his heir, something that would never happen when he would find out about Hisaki's sexuality later in life.
-Hisaki spent five years training with his father before he even made it into the academy, entering at ten years old like most children did with a wealth of experience and knowledge in taijutsu. During his privileged childhood he also began reading, and every night after his training and before bed he would absorb himself into a book for hours on end.
ACADEMY
-When he joined the academy at the age of ten, Hisaki first began developing his social anxieties, causing him to often not do well in school because he would not be able to focus with so many people around. His instructor theorised that this could have had something to do with the privileged life that he had lived up to this point. This caused him to have trouble making friends and as such he spent most of his time isolated and alone.
-After his first year of the academy, Hisaki was doing relatively well with his grades, as his instructors had worked with him to get him the extra training that he would require in order to pass. It could be speculated that this was due to the influence his clan and his father had in the village more than their actually wanting to help him. Regardless of the case, he did well and appreciated the extra help that the instructors gave to him to help him pass his classes.
-During his second year at the academy, the classes were split into smaller more specialised classes. When he was in these situations Hisaki found it easier to work and even began talking with some of the students, finding it easier to make friends at this point due to the easier environment and the more personal nature of the class.
-Around the end of the second year was when a lot of the young shinobi at the academy started to show interest in the opposite sex, something that never happened with Hisaki. It didn’t take him a long time to realise though that he had become shyer around certain boys in his class, especially one with blonde hair and blue eyes like his. This boy was the first crush that Hisaki had ever had and he knew every time he looked at him that he was different, and that Hisaki didn’t truly fit in with the people around him because of this.
-The end of his second year at the academy marked Hisaki’s last and he graduated along with the majority of his class. His marks weren’t overly impressive but at least he had managed to get through what were a couple of the hardest and most awkward years of his life. Everything would become different after this point though, as he would be assigned a squad and they would eventually help shape him into the shinobi that he would become.
GENIN
-Hisaki would be put into a squad with two other young academy students, one of them being the boy that he had a crush on when he was in the academy. He was a young Hatake named Ayane, and he would be the boy that Hisaki would obsess over for many years, even when Ayane started dating the third member of their squad, a young Uzumaki girl named Kameko. She had long red hair and was sweet, a master at Fuuinjutsu, which was something that Hisaki could claim, and she was also skilled with a sword. Hisaki would watch the two with torn emotions for years, sad that he didn’t know how to tell Ayane how he felt.
RP Sample: Hisaki Uzumaki sat at his desk in his room inside of his families compound. He was wearing his simple silk robe and clutching a book in his hands. If there was one thing he loved more than anything it was books. He had immersed himself into the pages of one of his favourite BL stories, about two shinobi on opposite sides of a war who ended up falling in love after one of them saved the other’s life. It was sweet and romantic and Hisaki couldn’t help but blush when the two characters kissed, something that always made him smile. He flipped the page and glanced towards his clock, noticing that it was a little later than he had anticipated. With a sigh he slid a bookmark into his book and set it down, preparing to take off towards the village docks.
As he made his way around the town he caught the odd glance from a passer-by. He would smile politely and nod his head, the Niwaurushigakure forehead protector that he wore around his neck stopping his chin from touching his muscular chest as he did so. He didn’t particularly want to talk to any of the people who were passing him, which was precisely why he had taken the long way to get to the docks, to avoid as many people as he possibly could.
Upon making it to the dock he looked around and shook his head. His other teammates were late, or he was early, one or the other. He sat down at the dock and looked out to the lake, smiling once more as he took in natures beauty, the beautiful water crashing against the rocks and the wind from the sea blowing against his skin as he closed his eyes and soaked it in.
This was peace, this was tranquility, this was everything that Hisaki could possibly hope for from this location. He looked around for a second, wondering what was keeping his students so long, and decided that he would just enjoy the beautiful view and the day while he waited, as he had nothing better to do. He pulled his book out and opened to where his bookmark was, beginning to read where he left off and getting immersed into his book once more…
