Investigation:

Not yet wanting to bother anyone in the off chance that the nest remained empty Kaia-Mai set out once more after another long night of spending time in the library. She had gathered up even more information on the beast; such as how the thing combined fire and wind to create it's explosion release and the fact that it was rumored to be able to detonate anything that it touched. Such an ability would be grand to have, especially if it didn't take any chakra to use. However, she had yet to be able to find a weakness to the thing. So, she figured she would scout the area out once more and see if she could find the chakra beast. If she did then the game plan was to return home and ask someone for help as soon as she knew that the thing was real and not just a rumor.

So, she said goodbye to her parents once more, and after being wished good luck and told to be careful, she set out through the village. She took the same path she did as she moved through the village and into the outskirts and finally beyond to the mountainous area. She took roughly the same path as before and made sure to keep her movements quiet and soft as to not disturb anything or piss any of the beasts lurking nearby off. The last thing she wanted to do, being this close to spotting the explosive phoenix she was looking for, was to end up being eaten and all of her hours of research being worth nothing in the end.

No, she was going to be as careful as possible even if it meant her journey took a little bit longer than originally planned.

She continued to push onward through the less traveled path, trying to keep to the same way she had gone before. She didn't want to end up lost, or end up missing the nest she had spotted the last time. The darkness seemed to creep in around her, nipping at her heels and causing her to stumble a few times, but she didn't give up and simply just continued to press on.

Soon the trees gave way and she was able to see the same mountainous cliff that she had laid eyes on the last time she had come to investigate. However, this time around, the nest that gave up the strange orange and red smoke wasn't empty. Seated within it, head tucked beneath a wing as if the chakra beast were sleeping, was a giant orange and red phoenix: one of the most beautiful sights she had ever seen. She was correct, this was the home of a chakra beast, the very one she had been searching for.

Knowing that she was going to need some help, and having confirmation that the thing was indeed real, she turned and began the horrible journey through all of the brush and back towards Makkura. She had heard through the grapevine that Avery had the ability to seal creatures within people, as well as the fact that she was strong, perhaps she would be able to ask her to help her out: if she could find her. She reached the village, stumbling her way out of the brush of the wild land that surrounded the village, glad to have escaped the grasp of any dangerous beast again. She headed towards the tower, hoping that she would find Avery there and be able to convince the woman to help her out in this.
