Sato sat behind his desk with a bored expression on his face. He'd been doing paperwork for hours now and it was draining him of his energy. He loved being the Kage so far, but this part of the job was not particularly thrilling. He sat back in his cushioned chair and stretched, releasing a long yawn. He needed some air or something. He only had a few more pages to go through though. He just needed a fun distraction to justify walking away from the work in front of him.

Alice had recently found herself in a dilemma; now that her father was Raikage she found herself needing something, or someone, to distract her. Making friends with someone would have helped, but Alice didn’t want people just being nice to her because of who her father was. No, she wanted someone who would like her just for her; and that meant an animal. Some sort of pet or companion to wander around with her on the hours she spent bored while her father was working.

Of course, Alice had no idea where one began to look for such a thing. And so, like she had in the past, she figured she would go to her father for help. She wandered into the administrative building; poking her head around corners and darting down hallways; leaving a trail of giggles behind. It wasn’t like anyone would honestly stop her: she was going to see her father who was leader of the whole village after all.

From one hallway and to the next she moved until she found herself outside of the doors she had been aiming for: the Raikage’s office. Alice paused for a moment outside of the office as she thought over whether or not she should knock. In the end, and after a game of rock-paper-scissors with herself she figured that if anyone didn’t have to knock on the Raikage door it was her. With that in mind she reached up and turned the doorknob. When the door was open a good few inches she poked her head inside and had a look around before she stepped inside and shut the door behind herself.

Smiling from ear to ear she skipped her way over to her father. She came to a stop about a foot away from his desk and looked from the papers on it to him. “Are you busy? I gotta question..”

As Sato sat there debating what to do in his head, the door opened and his favorite person stuck her little head in. She entered the room and closed the door behind her. She then skipped over to the desk and asked if he was busy. He would never be too busy to help her. "Nah, just boring paperwork. What's up?" He asked with a smile as he awaited her response. She was so darn cute and innocent. Most kids would have walked in and demanded attention, but she carried herself like an adult and used great manners despite not having too. If more people would follow her example, the world would be a really nice place.

While they talked, he started moving around papers on his desk, separating the done ones from the ones that still needed his attention. The finished pile was large while the pile he still had to work on was only a few things. He smiled at this, making a note to tell someone to come take them to their appropriate places. Now that this was done, he moved his full attention back to his daughter. Hopefully, she wanted to have some type of adventure, as he needed to be outside and quick.

Hearing that her father wasn’t busy the smile that was already on her face grew bigger and she began to bounce in place like a hyper child trying to force themselves to be still but failing miserably at it. “Can I have a pet? I want a friend… but people are already nice to me because of me being your daughter, so I wouldn’t be able to tell if they were really my friend or just being nice because they don’t want to get into trouble.” She smiled brightly; rather glad that she had figured that all out on her own. “But, pets are said to love unconditionally; or that’s what the old lady I ran into with the cat said. So I figure if I get a pet-friend that they’ll actually be my friend so long as I’m nice and take care of ‘em. Then I won’t have to worry about them just pretending to be my friend.”

She fell silent at that point, giving her father a chance to think about what she said. She wasn’t going to beg, or do any of the annoying things a normal child did, as she saw no point in it. Instead, she continued to bounce in place and wait with a smile on her face.

If he said yes she would have to think about what sort of pet she wanted; she wanted a cat but not a normal one. She knew that some of the people in the market sold felines that were higher up on the food chain since she had spotted them earlier in the day; more particularly she had come across an albino tiger cub that had been very interested in being her friend.
