- Mission:
Mission name: Quell the Rouges
Mission rank: SS
Objective: Neutralize the rouge nin
Location: Anywhere
Reward: 3000 ryo
Mission description: You are tasked to assist with the neutralization of a group of S-ranked rouge ninja that have infiltrated your village. There five ninja that make up this group; but one of those ninja is a mole planted by your village some time ago to monitor the group. He's had no contact with your village for the past three months, and is considered MIA. While on this mission he's assumed a new identity, along with using a henge that has been locked by fuuinjutsu. You are to assist him with neutralizing the missing nin. In addition, there is limited info on each ninja.
First and foremost, these are S-rank ninja, and each are masters (S or SS) in their area of expertise.
Remiel, the leader, uses Doton and Taijutsu exclusively. He obviously favors CQC, but with an S-rank in Ninjutsu, he is more than capable of attacking from a distance.
Sasha is Remiel's right hand (wo)man. She uses a combination of Suiton , and Fuuinjutsu to trap trap opponents so that Remiel can pound them into dust. She also packs a powerful punch with her Ninjutsu.
Lumia is the groups' muscle. Her prowess in kenjutsu is world reknown as is her sword, a replica of the Executioner's Blade. Combining this with oppressive Katon ninjutsu, she is known as 'The sword of Hellflame" who is not afraid to behead anyone who stands against her.
Tematsu specializes in strategy and genjutsu. He loves to deprive his opponents of oxygen using Fuuton then use the panic to fuel his genjutsu.
Riku is an expert archer , able to circumcise a fly mid-flight with an arrow. Combining this deadly precision with Raiton, Riku is able to change his arrow's flight pattern mid-flight.
Mission details: First and foremost, these are S-rank ninja, and each are masters (S or SS) in their area of expertise. Attempting to corner one member by themself to kill WILL result in that member using a summoning seal to summon the others. For the purpose of this mission, Riku is the mole within the organization. However, many things have occurred during Riku's three months of silence. The organization has discovered that he was a mole, and have convinced him to join their side wholeheartedly. With that being said, they are very much aware of the possibility that your village will attempt to send someone else to eliminate them or infiltrate once more.
So. Kurai and Little Kong were instrumental in ending a prison break, and stopping a band of pirates before they could raid and pillage the village. Many of the villagers who'd seen and and witnessed Kurai beating up convicts, and taking on a band of pirates with only a small monkey as back up were thanking and praising him as he walked back through the village. Several times, Little Kong beat on his little chest while letting out his miniature Kong roar, but Kurai's blank expression didn't change at all. He didn't mind the praise and admiration they were both getting, but Kurai wasn't one to let it all go to his head. These people were calling him a hero, but strangely he didn't feel like one...
Kurai went home. He and Little Kong ate a big dinner. By then, it was totally dark out, and Kurai began to settle in for the night. With his jacket hung up in the closet, Kurai sat on the floor with a pile of Manga, buried deep within stories. Mother and Father Yanagi had retired to the back, in their room, for some “alone time.” Kurai would make sure to avoid seeing something else he didn't want to see with Shinsai. Little Kong jumped up into his hammock bed and was soon snoring after a hard day's work, and after reading several more books back to back, Kurai himself was in his bed, the lights off, slipping down into a deep slumber...
...Until there was a knock at the front door. Kurai was sure his father would get up to go see who it was, so he turned over and continued to snooze, slipping slowly back into his comatose state. The knocking continued though, so with a grumble he eventually rose out of bed, pulled back on the top half of his body suit and walked out into the hall. Making his way through the house to the front room, Kurai opened the front door, ready to introduce whoever it was to a Rasengan for knocking at the door like some sort of police officer at this ungodly hour of the morning. After clearing his eyes, Kurai looked to see a Shinobi standing on the front porch.
“Kurai Yanagi?” he asked. The Shinobi had a specialized bow and a quiver of arrows on his back. Kurai didn't know what to make of the guy; this could have been a trap. He'd beat up and killed quite a few people since he got started here, this could be some sort of retaliation attempt. He was ready for it though, and simply nodded his head. If this guy here was fool enough to try something right here where he lived, Kurai was prepared to turn this guy into dust... literally. “Good, I was told to find you. Hinowagakure has a serious problem.”
Of course he was told to find Kurai. It wasn't like those 3 leaders would do anything, would they? Sure, let's just send him over to Kurai so we can make out some more, right?... The Shinobi on the front porch introduced himself as simply “Riku.” He explained how he was a double agent, working for the village, where his original allegiance lay, and also undercover with a small team composed of 4 other S-Ranked Criminals. These criminals, upon discovering Hinowa and how it was still a fresh village and relatively still unknown to the rest of the mainstream countries, decided that it would be a good idea to take the place for themselves. Unfortunately for them, they'd come to the wrong village with the wrong idea.
Defeating them would make Kurai legendary. Generations would talk about what he did for years and years into the future, and his legacy would be permanently sewn into Hinowagakure's history. Kurai held up one finger to Riku, as to signal him to wait a moment. Kurai went to his room to get his jacket, and also to wake up Little Kong, who wasn't too happy about that. Yet when he saw Kurai putting his jacket on and walking out of the room, he didn't hesitate to jump out of his hammock and follow him. While passing the kitchen, Kurai grabbed and tossed Little Kong a banana, which he caught and quickly peeled open to eat and wake up further. Kurai and his companion went out onto the front porch, to the confused look of Riku as Kurai closed the door.
Riku began to give he and Little Kong intel on his 4 other “Comrades,” showing them pictures of all 4. Remiel, the leader, uses Doton and Taijutsu exclusively. He obviously favors CQC, but with an S-rank in Ninjutsu, he is more than capable of attacking from a distance. He was going to be easy. Kurai wasn't worried about him. Sasha is Remiel's right hand (wo)man. She uses a combination of Suiton , and Fuuinjutsu to trap trap opponents so that Remiel can pound them into dust. She also packs a powerful punch with her Ninjutsu. Little Kong jumped up and down making animal sounds. Kurai was left to guess that she was the one he wanted. Kurai was also ready for her, but Riku volunteered to keep her busy while Kurai and Little Kong dealt with Remiel and Sasha.
Last but not least, Tematsu specializes in strategy and genjutsu. He loves to deprive his opponents of oxygen using Fuuton then use the panic to fuel his genjutsu. Kurai and Little Kong both hated mind games and illusions. He would be the first to fall. With him out of the way, odds would be even, and the 3 of them could wrap this up before it got too late. Riku also explained his own skill. He was an expert archer; his skill so precise that he claimed he was able to circumcise a fly mid-flight with an arrow. Combining this deadly precision with Raiton, Riku was able to change his arrow's flight pattern mid-flight.
“This group, they're like locusts,” Riku explained, fixing on his bow and preparing for battle. “They move from place to place, using up everything until it's all gone, then they move on to the next. But they seem to have plans for this place... They want to dig in here, and call this place home. It's remote location in the middle of a lake surrounded by a ring of volcanoes, with arctic tundra on all sides makes it a perfect location. They won't hesitate to kill anyone that gets in their way. I also think that they are beginning to suspect i'm a double agent...”
”...Then stay out of sight if you can...” Kurai said, having already picked up on the 4 entering Hinowa's front gates with Shinsai.
”...Or at least, until they begin to fall. They picked the wrong village to call home...”Village guards watching the front gate were quickly dispatched; one of them put into a genjutsu where he had the air sucked out of his lungs, the other, beheaded by Lumia. The body still lie twitching and leaking fluids onto the ground by the front gate. “Resistance is weak so far,” Remiel said with a smirk. “Taking this village should be easy. I suspect it's mostly merchants and farmers; they shouldn't put up too much of a fight...”
“Too bad,” Lumia remarked. “I was hoping for a challenge. It's been too long since someone fought back and actually put up a good struggle...”
“My thoughts exactly,” added Tematsu, his voice just above a whisper and highly resembling that of a snake. “I get tired of facing weak little---”
He was interrupted by a pair of hands that reached from underground to grab his ankles and drag him quickly below the surface of the earth, taken by complete surprise. The other 3 turned to see their illusion using comrade gone. “Tematsu?” said Remiel, but he got no answer.
Lumia put a hand upon the handle of her sword. “...Ok, something's fishy going on here...” she said, keeping her eyes peeled in all directions. The remaining 3 criminals went into defensive positions. This was around the time something small and fast leapt from a rooftop nearby, screaming loudly. It threw itself into Sasha, pelting her with rapid blows that ended with a roundhouse kick to the right side of her face. The attacks came very swiftly, leaving her no room to dodge. All blows met their mark and she was thrown a distance to bounce once and slide to a stop in a daze. As quickly as the small loud thing came, it was gone again.
“What the FUCK,” said Lumia, her sword out, the blade on fire with her Katon chakra. Remiel, still keeping his eyes peeled went over to help the dazed Sasha back to her feet. “Are you alright?... I think we spoke too soon, it appears someone here was waiting for us...”
“Riku...” Sasha said, still getting her bearings straight and rubbing the side of her face. “I told you he was a spy. He was never one of us. This must be where he's from, he came here before hand and warned these people. We should bail out...”
“Fuck that, we can still do this,” said Remiel. “Someone's got funny jokes, but this show is about to end--”
A ball of air came flying from another rooftop, slamming into Sasha and throwing her again. This was about the time that Kurai popped up from the ground before Remiel like one of those whack-a-mole games and executed The Violent Heel, which smashed into the side of Remiel's head. He didn't go down, but he stumbled, catching himself by putting his hands on he ground before he fell over. Lumia spotted Kurai, and attempted to attack from behind, but she was interrupted by 3 arrows. 2 of them embedded themselves into the ground in front of her feet, throwing her off balance; purposely aimed at the ground in front of her so that the 3rd arrow could dig into the flesh of her left thigh. Coated with Raiton chakra, she screamed and yanked the arrow out through the other side of her leg before it did any major damage, but her movement from that point on would be heavily hindered. “RIKU!” she yelled, trying to catch her breath. “You're DEAD, you traitor!!”
“Story of my life,” Riku yelled back from somewhere nearby. Kurai was engaged in a contest of kicks with Remiel. The man was skilled, able to evade and block the kicks launched at him from Kurai, but he wasn't able to hit the kid either. Sasha attempted to intervene and help Remiel as she normally did when he got into fights, but she was unable to, for everytime she began to approach the Taijutsu battle she was interrupted by something small, fast and screaming. Little Kong had become incredibly fast because of the training he'd put fourth swinging back and fourth through the trees with Kurai in the backyard, and was displaying this incredible speed that left the woman helpless and unable to counter. Lumia ignored the two of them and began searching around the immediate vicinity for Riku, with the intention of cutting off his head. Every so often an arrow would come flying out of nowhere that Lumia would barely dodge. She began to figure out the location of where the arrows were being fired from, and slowly making her way in that direction.
Lumia suddenly realized too late as she reached the dead end of an alley that she'd been lured into a trap. When she attempted to perform a jutsu that would summon the others to her position, she was disarmed when an arrow hit her in the palm. She dropped her sword and screamed. Arrows began to fly at her in rapid succession, pinning her to the wall behind her. In the end, she couldn't move. Barely conscious, she was just barely able to make out Riku walking toward her from the far end of the alley. “...And to think... I actually... started to like you... you... fucking...traitor...” She was barely able to manage saying this. Riku aimed one final arrow at her face. “I'll see you... in hell.”
“It's a date,” Riku said, then he fired. It was a special Raiton arrow that buried itself in her forehead and turned her body slowly and painfully into ash.
Kurai and Remiel continued to brawl. Remiel several times attempted to use Doton techniques on Kurai, but Kurai easily countered those. Witnessing these counters, and how calm and collected Kurai remained, and also how something small and fast was quickly and easily making sport of Sasha, Remiel began to get frustrated. Kurai became ready to wrap this up. Whenever Remiel attacked, Kurai began to counter with hard kicks and punches. Coating one of his arms with rock and utilizing his Ultra Added Weight Technique, Kurai hit Remiel with a blow that sent him rolling and tumbling right back out of the gates to the village, and even further still.
“Remiel-!!” Sasha yelled, and she attempted to run toward his position, but she stopped suddenly when her attacker jumped in front of her. A frowning little monkey, gathering something within it's right hand. Air could be seen swirling and collecting into a large orb the size of a beach ball. Sasha looked confused for a moment, heavily scarred and dazed, her wounds swelling into welts and black eyes, before she frowned and began to charge the animal. “You little---” was all she was able to get out before Little Kong underhand tossed the orb of air, his newly devised Big Monkey Ball Fuuton projectile attack, toward her head. It impacted the bottom of her chin with such force that her head was ripped from her neck, creating a fountain of blood that Little Kong avoided. The body took several steps, the arms and hands waving and grabbing at something that wasn't there, before falling over and twitching the death dance.
Remiel was somewhere outside the village, coughing up blood and badly injured due to multiple fractured ribs and a broken arm from his violent tumble. When he was able to gather his bearings, he looked up to see Kurai, Riku and Little Kong walking toward him. “It's... not going to... end like this...” Remiel said, struggling back to his feet. “You're… going down, kid... and your... little pet too... then, you, Riku... you... traitor. We took you in... called you... one of our own. I'll.. take my time...with you... Then, as an... extra added bonus... this kid's... family... and all of his...friends...”
If there was one thing you didn't do, it was threaten Kurai's people. His upper body expanded suddenly. His red eyes began to glow. A stylish jacket replaced the jacket he already wore. Then, 2 other clones appeared. A Rasengan was formed, and the 2 other clones shaped and added Fuuton chakra, creating the Rasenshuriken. A loud shriek noise could be heard as Kurai held the attack above his head, and threw it at Remiel. He attempted to block, but that did nothing to stop it. Remiel disappeared within an explosion that could be seen and felt for miles.
His clones dispersed, and he returned to normal. Riku was left speechless, looking into the large smoking crater left behind. “...It looks like I was sent to the right person for a task of this caliber,” he said with wide eyes. “Both of you... thank you for your assistance. I'll put in a good word for you with the council.”
That didn't really matter to Kurai either way it went. Kurai nodded his head while patting Riku on the shoulder. With a head motion to Little Kong, he and his animal companion turned to head back home. Perhaps he could get back to sleep before any other villains decided to show up and pull a take over...
