Mission Taken:

It was fresh back from his trip out to Niwa that Kuro took on a new mission. He was armed with all sorts of new abilities and found himself eager to test them out on someone. Who better than missing ninja who once used to live in Kumo now threatening the lives of council members, also responsible for numerous kidnappings and murders?

Kuro didn't even bother to go home and check in, heading straight for the mission station. If no one knew of his arrival back home, they would soon enough. Everywhere Kuro went, he seemed to be followed by big black birds. He quickly got used to this. Kuro was unable to get what he originally set out to gain, but instead he came away with something even better. It was such a valuabe gain that he even found himself grinning, something he very rarely did.

5 missing ninja, located all in random points throughout the village. This was a take-no-prisoners mission, meaning he was free to do to them whatever he saw fit. Right from the jump Kuro decided that this was their last day upon this earth. There were 2 Chuunin level ninja, 2 S.Joinin ninja, and the leader was an A-ranked Jounin. All of them would be simple enough to deal with, though he planned on saving the best for last: the leader. All were capable of using wind and water jutsu, and the leader was somewhat skilled in the use of a katana blade.

The 2 Chuunin would be the first to go. The whore that he once escorted to a job - of all people - was the one to tell Kuro of their location. A brothel, on the second floor, using it as a front to plot their schemes. The whore complained that they were messing up business in the area, so telling Kuro of their whereabouts and Kuro going to deal with them would benifit both parties. Kuro of course ignored the offer of the "victory dance" once his business was completed and went to work.

On the second floor of the brothel, the 2 Chuunin were occupying one of the largest rooms usually reserved for VIPs. One of them lie in a bed next to a whoe he'd just got done with sharpening a kunai, while the other stood over a table, examining the blueprints to compounds that housed council members. The Chuunin in the bed was dragged out of it by what appeared to be black tendrils, screaming into the dark where there was soon heard crunching sounds. these sounds were replaced with the sounds of dripping blood and then silence. Dark colored blood could be seen training from the shadows across the wooden floors. The whore in the bed jumped up, screaming and terrified, while the other Chuunin was confused as to what was going on. A foot composed of shadow jumped up off of the floor and kicked him in his gut, and while he was leaning forward in pain he was hit again by a fist of shadow. The force threw him backwards and out of a window, where his ankle was grabbed by the black tendrils. While being dangled above the streets, a horde of black crows surrounded him, beak pecking and claws raking at his flesh. His screams filled the air and attracted the eyes of many below. When they were done with him, the Chuunin was a broken bloody mess. The tendril dropped him to allow him to fall and land on his head in the dirty dark streets, a splat-like sound signaling his end.

With the revelation that their comrades had been violently murdered, Kuro was sure that one of the S. Jounin would come investigating, and then lead him to the location of his S. Jounin partner. Waiting around on a rooftop among several crows with a sucker in the right side of his jaw paid off, for a shady looking individual came to the brothel and entered the very room the 2 Chuunin were occupying. He was none too pleased with the aftermath. After seeing what happened to his 2 former comrades he hurriedly started off again, with Kuro in silent and shadowed pursuit. He followed the S. Jounin to the other side of Kumo, into the respectable and quiet neighborhoods, to a large unused manor where he and his comrade were squatting. While warning his comrade of the activity in the red light district, the lights in the house went out, followed by a loud caw. Much like last time, the first S. Jounin was snatched off of his feet by what appeared to be black tendrils and dragged violently into the dark, where there was heard screaming, crunching noises, the sound of blood dripping, then silence. His terrified comrade tried to run, but found himself unable to move. A dark figure walked toward him, and for some reason, against his will, he too walked toward the dark figure. The dark figure seemed to draw something, and with the S. Jounin having to mimic his every move, drew a kunai. The dark figure then made the motion of stabbing itself, forcing the S. Jounin to copy, stabbing himself in the abdomen. He screamed while the dark figure made the motions of carving himself open. The screams didn't last long after the S. Jounin's insides spilled out onto the floor, and he himself was upon it, choking on his own blood as his life left his body.

Last but certainly not least, there was the leader. Like the last 2, he would surely come investigating once there was no word from any of his people, and Kuro, having plenty of patience, had no problem waiting for him. First he took a visit to the brothel, learning the details of his 2 Chuunin, then to the manor, and saw what happened to the two S. Jounin. He began to rush out of the house pissed off, when the shadows seemed to come to life and kick him solidly in his face, the sound of his nose breaking with a resounding crunch. After dealing with overwhelming pain and blood gushing from his nostrils, he looked up to see a young man removing himself from the shadows, a large black bird removing itself from his shoulder. As he grabbed his katana and prepared himself for battle, he could see Kuro's eyes become a red color, and also the appearance fo a strange long jacket. The leader began to swing the sword stylishly, occasionally performing jutsus that were composed of bullets made out of water, and razor sharp winds that could slice through flesh easily. None of his attacks hit anything, and he began to be countered by Shadow Punches and kicks. Dazed and bleeding, the realization hit that this must have been the individual responsible for the murders of his comrades. He was fueled by anger but unable to hit this red eyed kid at all.

In the end, the leader of the band of missing nin was found run through with his own sword.
